Title: Something Stirring in the Dark
Post by: The Cedar Witch on March 22, 2019, 09:51:28 AM
[for Idrial]

Just outside the city limits was a rougher part of town, neglected and overlooked, filled to the brim with crime and apathy.  Here was a four-story hotel that served only a select clientele.  Clean rooms were rented by the hour.  Accommodations were given only to those who knew exactly what they were looking for and were given only with steep up-front payment.  The hotel rested unwelcomingly at the end of a dim alleyway, past graffiti-laden, long since boarded-up businesses.  Most Unfortunate Individuals who stumbled upon it by accident were compelled to turn around and head back the way they came, unable to shake the feeling of being Watched.  Indeed, all the dark corners of this dead-end street had Eyes that were Always Watching.

Laurent, hands casually placed in the pockets of his open leather jacket, strolled past them all.  As he approached his hotel, he gave subtle nods to his demon underlings Lurking in the darkness.  One drew closer and he stopped to meet him.

"The delivery is waiting for you downstairs."  The underling reported quietly.  Laurent's only reply was a sharp nod, and the underling retreated into the shadows again.

When Laurent reached the door to the hotel, the two guards at the front moved to open the door for him, nodding their greetings to The Boss as they did so.  Once he was inside, the pretty red-head desk attendant pointed toward the door to the basement.  Laurent headed there straightaway, leaving the door half open behind him.

Immaculately clean black boots thudded against each step as the Shadow Demon descended.  Already he could smell them, waiting, afraid.  There were a pair of guards sitting at a card table opposite the group, smoking and fiddling with their cellphones.  They stood as Laurent approached, nodding in the direction of the new Shipment.  The demon approached the huddled group of Fresh Stock whimpering pathetically in the corner.  They had just been brought in from a recent recruitment mission a few states away and they looked exhausted and terrified.  Perfect.  Luscious.  A cruel smile parted his lips.

"You," he pointed at one of two brunettes clinging desperately to one another.  "Hush now, I don't bite."  He smiled, and it could have almost been friendly if not for the context.  Still, she did not move.  This one would have to be taught obedience.  Laurent sighed and rolled his eyes.  The group pressed themselves against the wall as he drew nearer, and he roughly grabbed her from them.  She cried out once before he pressed his other hand firmly against her mouth and drew her body closer to him.

"Now, don't you want some food and water, princess?"  He smiled down at her tear-streaked face as she whimpered behind his hand.  This one he would be taking upstairs to enjoy.  "Only if you behave."  He insisted, removing his hand slowly to ensure she would not make a sound.  She did not.  Pushing her in front of him, he guided her back toward the stairs, intent on taking the girl up to his room.

Wiping the blood off his face with a smile, the mortal's blood tasted so good underneath his tongue. He had a craving ever since he arrived in this place of heaven, a place where evil could grow and thrive. And while the mortal's blood tasted exquisite it did not stall his unknown craving, bored he released the human. Leaving him drained and confused, falling onto his knee's to find his way down the dark and dank alleyways. He was the few lucky ones to have lived. Stepping over the body with ease and there was only one other place he could explore this unsatisfiable thirst. Perhaps he craved flesh rather than blood tonight, an evil grin on his face as he sauntered in the street.

The hotel of pure lust and pain and so many choices of flesh to choose from, the guards at doors recognized Mitch and it was no surprise. He use to frequent this place a lot more in the past, feeling quite at home amount the most dangerous people in this place. Smiling devilishly at the receptionist and calmly stating his intent, male, hardy and not afraid of pain. The receptionist nodded and pointed to take a seat momentarily. Folding his hands as he took a seat scanning the room as he always did, only this time he shocked to see someone from his past. His pants grew tight as he locked eye's with Laurent, this was a pleasant surprise. Rising from his chair gliding along the floor to Laurent and his little plaything.

"I never thought to see you again," his voice thick like honey. Looking Laurent up and down, he looked more muscular and it stirred the lust within Mitch.

"I see your business is still thriving," arching an eyebrow at the woman. A cruel smile on his lips. Lauren hated disobedience and Mitch had an idea what was to be done with the girl.

"Perhaps you prefer better company after your business matter, " enjoying the look of fear in the woman's eyes.

Maybe Laurent would spare her for now and teach her lesson later. Or perhaps the could both teach her a lesson, Mitch wouldn't have sex with the woman but he could do other things. Although it was improper to ask, this was business. But the thought helping Laurent teach the girl obedience made an obvious bulge in his pants.

Laurent grinned.  Now this was unexpected.  It had been quite some time since he last had the pleasure of sharing company with one equally as sadistic as himself.  Memories of their first encounter danced wickedly across his mind--that night the vampire had so willingly exchanged his soul for knowledge.  And what a useful trade that had been for Laurent!  Had it already been two hundred years since they last set eyes on one another?  Sure the two had indirect dealings with one another, as to be expected in sharing this sort of Profession.  But to have Mitch in front of him again--that was a delight.

He appreciatively noted the staring--and its result.  For a moment his attention was drawn away from the Fresh Meat shivering at his side.

"Mitchelletto," the demon said slowly, allowing his eyes to trace over the vampire's figure as well.  Mitch smelled like arousal and a fresh kill.  A delectable combination that had a noticeable effect on the demon's body.  "It's been too long."

"This can wait."  He leaned down to look the girl in the eye.  "Now you go back downstairs and wait for me, princess."  A look of relief washed over her, which almost made Laurent reconsider.  But hope could be crushed from her later.  Let her have a taste of respite for the time being.  It would make destroying her all the more satisfying.  As soon as the girl stepped down, he closed the door behind her and turned toward the vampire.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?"  He purred.

While he would have thoroughly enjoyed tossing him around in bed again, there were other matters to attend to that were more pressing.  Distracting.  There was information to be gathered.  This vampire had set foot in the city.  Perhaps he would know things.

"You look stronger than I remember," stepping in close to Laurent. Reaching up and stroking the demons jaw bone with his forefinger. Then grazing Laurents bottom lip with his thumb.

Mitch bit down on his lower lip and revealing the little bit of blood in his teeth, remembering how satisfying it was to be dominated by him. So close in age, they never had to worry about hurting each other too badly, although they tried.

"This is the only place I can get obedient subjects anymore," his tone growing dark and sour. Fucking Jake McCloud ruined his chances of ever entering the city again. He missed his old hunting grounds, he missed hunting period.

"Let's just say Jake McCloud made some complications for me entering the city." His hand recoiling slowly from Laurents' face, remembering the scar left by the Anarch punk. A swirl of anger and the need to let off some steam was clear in Mitchelletto's eyes.

Stronger, yes.  The years had been kind to the demon.  He had been busy in that regard.  He watched the vampire closely without breaking eye contact, enjoying the touch.  It made him wonder at how the years had treated the vampire--how much he could take now.  The thought of pressing him roughly against the wall crossed his mind.  Wouldn't that be delightful?

But then McCloud's name passed the vampire's lips as he drew his hand away.  Exactly the information that Laurent needed.  The demon smiled seductively, drawing a single firm finger down Mitch's chest.

"Shall we find someplace more private to talk?"  Not that Laurent had to worry about being overheard in his own establishment.  There were other things on his mind.  The order in which to Do Things was something that the demon could not quite decide on yet.

Mitchelletto's eyes fluttered with pleasure as Laurents' finger traced itself down his chest. His touch much more firm than he remembered, his lips twisting with lust and curiosity. The things they could do to each other now, wouldn't it be wonderful to recreate the night he sold his soul to Laurent. Well more like over several nights they spent together, no one matched Mitchelletto's sadistic personality more closely than Laurent. Waiting two hundred years seemed like such a waste, they should have reconnected sooner.

Mitch nodded at Laurent and his suggestion of a more private setting. A sadistic grin on his face as he watched Laurents ass as he followed, running his tongue along his teeth with greed. How he wished for that ass to be in his lap right now. So perfect in the eyes of evil, how could one not be attracted to such a delight. Readjusting the snake that swelled in his pants, sex would have to wait for now. It seemed Laurent had other questions and Mitch was happy to obey. The only man equal enough for Mitch to play submission with and enjoy it.

He led Mitch into the elevator, intent on taking him to his room on the fourth floor.  It was one of the nicer rooms in the establishment, with a seating area and kitchenette in addition to a king-sized bed and full bathroom.  Once the pair were in the elevator Laurent pressed the button for the fourth floor and the doors slid shut.  He turned suddenly to Mitch and roughly shoved him against the back of the elevator, pressing his mouth roughly against the other's in something resembling a kiss.  With their bodies pressed together, it was easy to feel the anticipation growing between them.  The moment the elevator stopped so did the demon, pulling suddenly away and walking sharply toward the door of his room directly on the right.  The card-key seemed to have appeared in his hand, though he had fished it out of his back pocket while pressing against Mitch in the elevator.

It was an Interesting Feeling to have him close again.  The demon could feel the tendril of connection between the soul he acquired and its former host.  There was a noticeable increase in intensity, fueled by the memory of the nights they spent fucking and causing chaos.  Laurent wasn't one to be sentimental or develop attachments, and Mitch was no exception to that.  But he could sense the impatience for Fucking that lingered between them.  But business first--he wasn't about to be side-tracked.

Once inside he removed his leather jacket, revealing a long-sleeved charcoal Henley, crossed over to the little dining area by the kitchenette, and placed his jacket on the back of one of the chairs.

"So,"  he began, sitting at the table and reaching for the pack of cigarettes that lay beside an ashtray.  He was silent as he removed one from the pack, taking the time to light his cigarette while all the while keeping his eyes glued to Mitch.  He took one drag before continuing.

"Tell me about your complications."  And Jake McCloud.  That was the meat of the issue now, wasn't it?

Mitchelletto had not expected to have his bones jumped in the elevator, it pleased him immensely. The sheer force of Laurents shove created a small dent in the elevator wall, making his body shiver with gratification under the powerful demon. Laurents' lips were a hot playful mess against Mitch's cool marbled skin, making him feel alive under the demons short spell. Getting angry that the elevator doors opened faster than he wanted, Laurent was a good little tease and he suffer for that later. A broad smile emerged at the thought, what would he do to him? Mitch would have to think long and hard on punishment for Laurent's little tease show.

Once inside Mitchelletto did not sit down immediately, his assassin training kicking in as he took notes on the room. This room was high class compared to the scuzzy room they shared two hundred years ago, pleased at his assessment he returned his gaze to Laurent. Raising a pleasant eyebrow at his charcoal shirt that showed off his gym muscles, and he proceeded to mimic Laurent. Removing his own black cow leather jacket, revealing a tight short sleeved shirt with a small V neck. Reaching in his jacket pockets pulling out smokes, razor, a two dollar bill and a reasonably sized bag of cocaine, sitting down across from Laurent a devilish grin on his face.

"When the Oligarchy had fallen I had gotten intel the Mimics had left. That was correct," seeing the tray with white residue nearby he reached over showing off his abs and grabbed it. Proceeding to cut the cocaine into four lines as he spoke.

"What was not correct is Jake McCloud being able to beat me in a fight," he growled in anger.

"They all took thier own districts and made their own rules. Can't kill or enslave humans anymore, I miss the good old days when they overlooked a few."  A low rumble of laughter emerged from his throat.

He rolled up the two dollar bill into a tube, snorting one line into the left then right nostril. Setting the bill on the tray and pushing it towards Laurent, he didn't think he leave him out now. Taking a smoke and lighting up while he continued to talk, the cocaine made him feel much more settled.

"The punk has a magic weapon he managed to get the tip of his blade in my chest. Rendering me powerless, it was unlike any poison I have encountered." Shaking his head taking a deep drag off his smoke.

"Luckily Jakes goons wouldn't know how to do a proper search if it bit them in the ass. I escaped using the last of my abilities. Jake declared me dead if I walk in the city again. I haven't been back in two years or more," not with that blade in Jake's possession.

If the punk could beat Mitch then there was a chance he could beat an ancient, too high of a risk to return to the city.

Laurent sat silently  smoking as he listened to Mitch recounting his tale.  Though Laurent watched the vampire partake, he did not reach for the tray when it was offered.  His mind was focused, processing the information.  Making Connections.

It was widely known that the Mimic Demons were gone.  Laurent had watched as the city divided amongst the remaining Oligarchs, and others.  For now, McCloud was his assignment.  His weapon was a concern.  There would have to be a strategy for that.  But he needed more information than this.

"That is unfortunate, now isn't it."  The demon smiled "How is it he managed to best you in speed, I wonder?  Don't you have a few hundreds of years on the whelp?"  It was a gently antagonistic jab, but the demon wasn't looking to start a fight.

"What if I told you that you could enter the city without worry?"  A knowing smile.

"He's half my age and it has to be his magical weapon," winking at Laurent for his comment.

"My guess is he must have it in his hands in order to bolster his own abilities," that was mere speculation on Mitch's part.

"He held it like a two-handed weapon now that I think about it," that was a true fact.

Mitch then narrowed his eyes delightfully at Laurent, get him back into the city! A cruel smile appeared on his lips thinking of all the helpless mortals in that city and it pleased him greatly. Leaning forward just a little his eye's fixated on Laurent with glee, he had done well for himself if he can get Mitch back into the city.

"And how is that?" Ashing his cigarette never breaking contact with Laurents own gaze.

A two-handed weapon that bolsters his abilities?  Interesting.  Somehow that will have to be disposed of.  Surely there must be someone in the city who knew more about it.  A weapon of this kind of power could not go unnoticed.

"I know a way to enter the city unnoticed."  Was all he said on that matter.  For now anyway.

"There could be protections offered if you proved to be a useful source of information," Useful to whom was left unsaid.

"Tell me what you know of McCloud."  He needed to find an edge.  A bargaining chip.  A Pawn.  To catch him unawares.

Mitch sucked in a small breathe at the words 'protection' and 'information', a game he was familiar with playing. A broad smile crossed his lips as this was turning out to be a pleasant night, almost kicking himself for not contacting Laurent sooner. Pausing for a moment trying to think of something that would be useful to Laurent, aimlessly puffing on his smoke deep in thought.

"I know he has a fledgling or two," returning to the conversation, "He is from the clan Ventrue, easy to kill when young but harder when they get older, a supernatural fortitude their clan possesses. Though McCloud seems to be meh at the skill even with that sword." Fortitude was a nasty thing to deal with but still not impossible to kill.

"His clan's bane restrict him to a certain blood type. And his mental ability dominate is strong for his age. That I worry about too," unsure what else to say. It had been two or more years since he had a base of operations in the city.

"Perhaps you can tell me what you seek. I feel as if I am insulting your intelligence," there was little that Laurent did not know already. His time in the city more frequent than Mitch's over the last few years.

Mitch would know that Kerr Galvin had died at one point, unaware that he had returned to the city. He wouldn't know of Jake taking the West and Central districts for himself, making him look bad in everyone's eyes. Nor would he know about the trial taking place in the city that would leave it ripe and weak for the picking. So much information he did not know but if he got into the city that could change and quicker than the blink of an eye.

Laurent waved dismissively at the last comment, taking a drag before answering.

"What I seek is a Door cracked open, a Diversion, and something with which to sow Discord."  The demon smiled mischievously.  Truthfully, he didn't know how much Mitch would be able to tell him without getting back into the city.  What little the vampire had disclosed was a good start.  It provided a direction.

"Tell me of the fledges--are they well protected?"  A brief, thoughtful pause, "It would be useful to know how organized and loyal his followers are, and if there is any unrest amongst his ranks.  Though I doubt you would have this knowledge."  He leaned back, stroking his beard.

"Better yet--to know what McCloud truly fears, that would be valuable."  Eyes flashing dangerously, he leaned forward and crushed his cigarette into the ashtray.

Curiosity had gotten the better of him. When he opened his door late one Saturday morning, he could smell unfamiliar cigarette smoke settled in the condo, the scent lingering on the furniture. Immediately he knew that someone had been in his place and it set him on edge. Cautiously he explored the condo for any lingering sign of a presence. Finding none in the major part of the apartment, he made his way back towards the kitchen to think and survey. Nothing had been disturbed, nothing taken, nothing even moved. IT unsettled him further. And then he saw what he was supposed to find.

There, tented on the granite countertop was a white business card he had never seen before. Judas stirred groggily inside him, triggered by the red pulsing feeling Nikolai had in his chest. He picked up the card to examine it.

The card was simple - too simple to be there by accident. It had nothing more than the name of some hotel he had never heard of - no address, no number to call. On the underside was a handwritten date - tomorrow - and a time - 10 PM. There was nothing else.

Nikolai stared at the card, flipping it around in his hands for long minutes, debating. It wasn't the first time he had ever received such an ominous note. To the contrary, in his line of work secrecy was key and the less he communicated, the better. It kept him alive. Nonetheless, this kind of situation always required a bit of hesitance on his end. No one could ever be sure what exactly was going to be waiting for him at some hotel with no information, at a time and date not of his choosing.

This was just another part of the business, after all.

He parked his car a block away from the hotel in a shitty part of town he usually loved and thrived in. But this was an unfamiliar city without the safety of a large populous of supernaturals. In fact he knew little to nothing about the city at all; looking the town up online could only tell him what it looked like, but not how the city breathed, how it's people treated her.

It was darker night than usual here with a warm mist coloring the air between street lamps as he approached the building. He took the steps slowly, trying to absorb as much information about where he was and what building he was in as possible before entering. The news media that he had found about this particular place was extraordinarily vague, listing it only as a refurbished private hotel that had been shut down years ago due to safety violations.

Something in his body felt strange, as if he had been in the building before, even though he had never set foot in this city. It pulled at his chest, beckoning him closer to the hotel despite that red alarm that had begun to sound in his head. Judas kept one eye open on Nikolai and watched. Nikolai tried to force the feeling away, but found himself incapable. Apprehension and panic threatened to bloom in his chest as he entered the building, nearly against his own accord, only to be shoved deep down into a place where they wouldn't resurface for the night; there was no need for such weaknesses like that in business.

"Nikolai Armani?" A pretty girl - one that he doubted was even eighteen - greeted him with a pathetic excuse for a smile. There was bruising on her face, a split lip freshly opened, as if she had just been beaten. She smelled of soap and cum, as if she had been freshly fucked before showering and sent up to greet him here. Nikolai said nothing to her, eyeing her suspiciously. "Follow me, please." The girl turned to leave down the small hallway to the elevator. She walked with a slight limp and nikolai could feel the fear and pain emanating from her.

"Where?" he called after her, remaining in the doorway of the lobby, that annoying feeling of familiarity pulling him with the girl.

"He'd like to see you upstairs." She turned nervously towards him.

"And who would that be?"

The girl hesitated, her body language showing him uncertainty and fear. "I'm sorry, I'm not allowed to say more. Please come with me." She started off again towards the elevator and waited inside for him. Reluctantly, he followed her into the elevator and up they went in silence. They stopped finally on the fourth floor and the doors opened.

"I know for a fact his followers would be loyal and organized. As for his fledges, I can not say if they are protected or not," a slight scowl on his face.

"But I do know he is not close with one of his fledges, a woman. Whether that has changed or not I do not know," he paused in thought. Wondering if that could be the weak link in Jake's armour.

"I have knowledge but it is outdated and not much help to your cause," a pang of anger ran through Mitch.

It was not often Mitch felt so useless and it angered him deeply, his hated for Jake was a bottomless pit. He do anything to rid himself of that pest and reclaim his old hunting grounds. Furiously taking a drag off his smoke as he was lost in thought but only for a moment before returning to reality.

Laurent shrugged.  It was useful enough.  He had started to answer but when heard the elevator stop on his floor he held out a hand to Mitch indicating that he should be quiet.  A wicked grin spread across his face as he got up from the chair and began to shift.  The demon's skin darkened to grey as he grew in size, twisted black horns spiraling out from his head and tattered dark wings rustling behind him.  He flexed them twice before folding them flat against his body.

Locking solid black eyes with Mitch's brown, Laurent held a single finger up to his lips and melted into the shadows.

He almost hadn't expected Nikolai to show but was delighted that he had--it had been so long since they had seen one another.  The Boy would be So Deliciously Useful.  Perhaps they could all work together.  Not that The Boy had any say in the matter.

The door to room 401 opened slowly, as if on its own accord.  The demon hungrily waited in the shadow.  If the girl obeyed, she would walk towards it, beckoning Nikolai inside before leaving the men to their business.  She was one of the more obedient ones, so Laurent had no doubts that it would go exactly as he had intended it to.  And how nicely Nikolai was playing along!

This would work excellently.  Mitch would not be quite visible from the door, but it would work better if he backed into the kitchenette slightly.  Laurent had completely forgotten about his appointment with The Boy in all the excitement with his surprise visit with the other vampire.  No matter.  Perhaps Mitch could even help with subduing.  If that would even be necessary.

As soon as Nikolai approached the door, the demon would move into his shadow behind him and shove him inside.  Oh--this was going to be Such Fun!

Nikolai stepped into the hallway guardedly. The girl's fear was high and the feeling in his chest was bleeding down into his arms and legs like a bad high. He wanted to turn around, but kept walking, almost compelled. Judas was growling in his head, peering through his eyes again as a door opened without being touched. The girl stood aside and looked down, away from the room. Nikolai hesitated as he stepped over the threshold of the door.

It was an apartment like any other, but the scent of cigarettes and cocaine was in the air. If not for the compelling feeling to walk deeper into the room, he would have felt quite at home. That familiar feeling now thrummed steadily in him, but he still couldn't place why. Two more steps, a figure around the corner. A man, tall and rock steady. Familiar somehow. Undead. Looking at him now.

Nikolai's eyes widened in shock, muscles stiff as his green eyes made contact with the man who had killed him.

Hot fear raced through him. The pit of his stomach rose into his throat. His throat closed and a sweat began to prickle his skin. Instinct told him to run. This was all a mistake, a massive mistake, one that he had to undo right away. He turned towards the closing door, but felt a force on his chest and was pushed painfully to the ground by something he couldn't see. Nikolai grunted as he fell, the pressure on his chest pinning him to the carpet of the floor.

"What the fuck is this!" He shouted as best he could, the air being crushed from his lungs.

Mitch grinned wickedly at the transformation that appeared before him, nodding obediently as the demon took refuge in the shadows. Slightly backing himself deeper into the kitchenette, filled with glee as the demon played his little game. Mitch wondered who would be walking into the demons dungeon of horrors, the demon was full of surprises. Then he felt a hum and one he did not expect to feel. Thinking upon on this feeling he crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes growing wide as he gazed upon Nikolia.

Suffering a flashback from long ago, the boy from fucking near Chicago it should say his unwanted fledge. He thought he died and as Laurent rushed the boy, taking advantage of the bond they shared. Fear and the need for escape filled Nikolia and Mitch relished the whole experience. Nikolia was one of the extremely few fledges Mitch had created and actually lived, did Laurent know? And would he laugh just hard at his prospect of having a bastard child?

Mitchelletto howled with laughter, "Laur-ent! You are a delight. I thought this fucker died long ago. I have a bastard child!" Going into another laughing fit, oh this was so much fun!

He did not care to get to know Nikolia, in fact, the only use he had for the bastard was the unfortunate bond they shared. A cruel smile emerged on his lips as he could feel Nikolai being crushed, never taking his chocolate eyes off the mesmerizing emerald eye's instilled with fear. He was to suppose to have died, another prick who couldn't handle his cocaine. Another notch on his belt of kills, so it is true. Good things come to those who wait and in nice little packages, with a pretty bow on top.

The demon emerged from the shadows, flexing his tattered wings and keeping a single cloven foot pressed on The Boy's chest.

"I hadn't the slightest idea that he was your whelp."  Laurent cackled, leaning down to inspect Nikolai.  "I see you got my note, so glad you decided to join me."  Grabbing the front of his shirt, he stepped off of Nikolai and pulled him up onto his feet.

"Come, sit."  He pushed him toward the table and chairs--and Mitch--and stretched his wings out as if to block the way to the door.  It would be easy to catch the young vampire in close quarters.  And besides, he was outnumbered.  If Nikolai did not sit on his own accord, Laurent would make sure that he did.

"I apologize for our unexpected guest,"  He gestured to Mitch while speaking to Nikolai "I had intended this chat to be just between us.  But I'm sure you won't mind if Mitchelletto sits in on this one.  Considering you seem to know one another."

Nikolai clawed at the cloven hoof on his chest before he knew what it even was, panic building into anxiety in his chest, choking him. A beast he had never seen before who spoke with a familiar, slick voice looked down at him and he wondered if he were finally losing his mind at last. The thing pulled him up with a force that made his neck hurt, his shoulders ache, placing the young vampire on his feet.

Nikolai tried to take off for the door, running as soon as his feet hit the floor. Before he could duck by one great wing, there was a pressure on his arm that pulled his shoulder from its socket and dragged him back. Nikolai growled in pain as he was pushed into a seat at a table nearby, one where that fuck was already sitting.

The demon spoke and finally, Nikolai understood. Laurent. That was what Mitchelletto had said before. It all made sense to him. And he was royally screwed. His mind was swimming now with realization and Judas was growling in his mind. Nikolai tried to push himself away from his body, to detach, but nothing came. He did not want to be around either of them. Laurent spoke to him, but the vampire couldn't manage to look up at him, lest Judas take over completely.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?" Nikolai said and spat a pocket of his own blood that had collected in his mouth after being slammed down like a puppet at Laurent's feet in defiance.

The demon remained standing, keeping himself between Nikolai and escaping.  His eyes flickered briefly to the blood spat onto the floor.  He licked his lips.

"I need information and you are going to get it for me."  He tucked his wings back, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Go fuck yourself," Nikolai hissed lowly, pain filtering into his message. He could feel Mitchelletto watching and he had the strong urge to tear out those eyes he had once fallen prey to.

Nikolai hadn't forgotten all the damage that Laurent had caused last time they had met. He was still reeling from that job. He had lost Pierre, almost lost... no. He was done with that bullshit, and done with Laurent. Let him kill him instead.

Laurent chuckled darkly, shadows beginning to press slowly in.

"Oh, no, Princess--you want to take this job."  The demon took a step forward.  "I'll even throw in a little consolation prize at the end if you behave.  You see--I have information that you want."  He flashed an unsettlingly toothy grin.

"I said 'go fuck yourself!'" Terror was building. There was no chance at escaping this. Mitchelletto was too old to let him go without causing damage, and Laurent was too strong, too big, too out of his control. His head was throbbing now trying to pull him under that black sea of silence. For the first time since his fledging, Nikolai was essentially powerless.

The demon sighed and cast a glance at Mitch.

"I thought you would at least make this a little easy on yourself."  He shook his head, closing the distance between them.  Now practically towering over the seated vampire he leaned in close, pressing his large hands firmly on The Boy's shoulders, pinning him in place.  The shadows swirled menacingly around them, seeming to emanate from and within the demon.

"I am sure you are familiar enough with this part."  Laurent drew in close and roughly pressed his mouth against Nikolai's, shadows seeping fourth and urgently seeking entrance into his mouth.  They burrowed like lampreys into whatever orifice they could find, should the vampire attempt to keep his mouth shut to them.  That would have been a more unpleasant entry--the mouth was always the easiest.  When the demon was sufficiently satisfied with them, he withdrew.

"Now, I will take these back when you find what I need.  Are you ready to listen now?"  He remained standing rather close.

Mitch drank up all the emotions Nikolia was pouring out through the bond, it was a delightful experience that he rarely got to enjoy anymore. The exchange between the two was more than informative, so Laurent had used Nikolia in the past. He wondered how long his unwanted fledge had been in the city? He never saw the bastard but truth be told Mitch wasn't looking for the fragile pup, cowering in the chair. Shaking his head and clicking his teeth towards Nikolia, he made a grave mistake as no one told Laurent no.

Laurent's use of shadow manipulation aroused Mitch, he couldn't help but touch himself for a moment. Getting in close to Nikolia to grab the tray of cocaine off the table, snorting the rest of the white powder off the plate before lighting up another smoke. It would be best if Nikolia just gave into Laurents demands, remaining in the background for now. Laurent had a handle on the weakling and he was not about to interrupt the demons fun right now.

That grip on his shoulder made him snarl in pain, but only through his teeth. Sure enough, he did know this part all too well. Nikolai tried to pull away from the demon as best he could, panic pushing Judas up to the surface. The last time this had happened to him, he had had a chance at winning, at fighting the demon off. Now the horror of sitting in that chair next to his Sire, the one person, if any, that was supposed to protect him from things like this with this demon leaning over him again. It was too much.

Judas broke free and pulled Nikolai into the darkness, slipping into every fiber of him, every inch of him, turning his mind on to fight mode. He could see the Leeches again and growled at Laurent's approach, as Mitch laid his hands on himself. As Laurent came in to poison him, Judas put all his effort into punching the demon, to rending grey flesh, to causing pain as wildly as he could. But there was no escape.

He could feel like Leeches curling against his lips, being denied entry, then slipping up his nostrils. His face burned and Judas shrieked in pain as the shadows forced themselves into him. Flesh tore and he could feel blood running free from his face where the Leeches had forced their way into him like a bad fuck. When the onslaught ended, Judas coughed, throat raw from swallowing the Shadows.

Not again.

Judas fell forward off the chair in a dizzying attempt to run. His head was filled with blackness that gave him vertigo, whisperings, black electricity that bounced off the walls, muscles, and thoughts. Laughing. There was so much laughing. His stomach, empty for years, churned and tried to come up nonetheless. Judas caught himself on the floor on his hands in front of the demon, crouched and retching. No Leeches came back up.

"Go fuck yourself," he said weakly, a trail of bloody saliva dripping down his face. A spike of pain shot through his head again and Judas was lower now, his face merely inches from the floor as he tried to recover, very much aware of the submissive position he found himself in in front of both Laurent and Mitch.

A booming laugh erupted from the demon at Nikolai's struggle, the retching, and the further resistance.  The fight in this one was arousing, and if it weren't for the urgency at hand Laurent would've lost focus entirely and had a bit of fun with The Boy.

"Wrong answer,"  he said, gripping the back of Nikolai's neck and pulling him to his feet.  "Try again."  He gave him a swift punch to the gut for good measure.  The fear that occupied every crevice of the vampire's mind was Most Delicious, but Laurent did need him to cooperate.  And he would, pending the shadows washing over his mind.  Hopefully, they would make him Most Pliant.

"I'm not doing shit for you anymore, you fuck!" Screaming from the Leeches in his ears now as he came face-to-face with Laurent and disobeyed. The gut punch knocked every last bit of air out of him and he regretted speaking for only a moment. He doubled over again, knees hitting the floor, clutching his ribs. Inside his head an inferno raged between Judas and the Leeches as they pinned down every thought and hope of resistance, every hope of escape. He was reluctantly beginning to accept that there was no getting out of this.

"What do you want?" The words were forced from his mouth without his consent, through grit teeth and bloody lips.

"Ahhh, here we go."  The demon purred, yanking Nikolai up again and slamming him back into the chair.

"You are familiar with the district leader, Jake McCloud, correct?"  Laurent morphed back into his human form, reaching for the pack of cigarettes and offering one to Nikolai before taking one for himself.

"I want to know who his people are in the streets."  There were many more things that the demon needed to find out, but this would be a start.  "You are going to find out who they are, when their shifts change, and where they operate from."  He paused to light his cigarette, tossing the lighter at Nikolai's chest.

"In Central."  He clarified, taking a drag.

He was getting a bit tired of being treated like the bad child, thrown around based on Laurent's will. The feeling of panic was lessening now, dulling into apathy due to the Leeches. The desire to obey was creeping up his throat uncomfortably, making him cough. Judas wiped away the trails of blood from his face, picking himself up from the fallout of Laurent just like he had the last time. When a cigarette was offered, he looked incredulously back at the demon, now the familiar face he had come to hate so much. To think that he had been suckered into servicing both of these men at some point.

"You want me to spy on Jake McCloud?" Judas asked weakly, with a tone of arrogance. "Why? Why can't you just do that shit yourself?" A wave of nausea hit him and something felt like it grabbed at his throat from the inside, trying to smother him.

"Because I want you to," Laurent reached forward and touseled the vampire's hair lightly.  He grinned "I promise I'll give you a treat when you're done."

He took a step back, smoking for a moment.

"And if you can find me something juicier that I can use I'll end your suffering even sooner."

"It'd be helpful if I knew what the fuck you are actually looking for," he spat at the demon as he stepped away. More laughing. "What do you mean 'juicier'? Juicier than what, exactly? Juicier than knowing when Jake's whole crew circle jerks?

"Hate to tell you this, you fuck," Judas said defiantly, "but Lisa-Joe already knows who the fuck I am. How the fuck do you want me to watch Jake's crew with that cunt knowing my face?" He turned towards Mitchelletto in anger. "Send this prick instead." Judas tossed his head in the other vampire's general direction. "God knows he's good at being forgettable."

Laurent rolled his eyes.

"Don't be dramatic.  I couldn't give a shit about your personal life."

Though he did have a point, and it was a rather Unfortunate and Unforeseen thing.  But it was workable regardless.  He moved closer again, this time placing his hands on either armrest of the chair Nikolai was sitting in.

"I am looking for a Chip in the Foundation."  He spoke low with a growl "And you are going to find one for me.  How exactly you will accomplish that is your problem, now.  I know you have people that crawl like cockroaches over the streets of the city.  I want to know what cracks they can find."

Mitchelletto had felt a snap in the bond, something had switched drastically in Nikolia and not for the better. Enjoying the feeling of pain and suffering coming from the boy, this was fun for a business meeting. That thought was short lived. Mitch shook his head in disappointment as Nikolia succumbed to Laurent finally, it had been short he thought the boy had more fight in him. Solidifying the thought that he was right to abandon him that night, sure he had a mean streak but it was nothing compared to Laurent or even Mitch. He was weak and the weak did not live long among his clan, the only reason Nikolia survived this long was he escaped the clutches of Mitchelletto. Only to be thrust back into his hands at an unexpected turn of events.

"Lisa-Joe is too loyal and much older than Jake," finally joining the conversation.

"I want to know more about Jakes daughter, she can't be no more than a decade old if that,"  a cruel smile forming on his lips.

"Don't sires who give a shit come after there children regardless of their relationship?" Directing his question more at Nikolia than Laurent for his weak comment.

"Laurent my sweet," his tone malicious. "In my bloodline, we can command our fledges to obey without question. Control over their free will. He is of my blood," Nikolia would hate him now, laughing at Nikolai's eventual reaction.

"I was having so much fun watching the graceful manipulation I didn't want to stop you, " his tone devilishly sweet towards the demon.

Lauren abilities had grown over the two hundred years they had been apart, he added the information as some added insurance. If Nikolia found a way to  did break from Laurents demon hold this would ensure Nikolai would still obey, like an obedient little puppy on his way to the slaughter.

The same thing that repelled him was the thing that made him be inexplicably drawn in to the demon. The more he fought these Leeches, the deeper he sank under Laurent's control. When Laurent leaned into him, intimidating, he couldn't help but remember when he had been interested in him as a sexual partner. He remembered the satisfaction of having Laurent so close to his skin, breathing over him like a rough lover. It had made him hot and hard, the promise of a painful night lingering between them. No longer, not after the invasions of his body, mind, and mental peace. He would have loved to pull his head back as far as he could and crack his forehead into the face that looked at him now, but the thought dissolved into apathy that was worse than the screaming headache he received when he disobeyed.

Judas leaned as far away from the demon as he could in the chair and tried his best not to show him the vulnerable space of his neck.  With the demon so close and so unpredictable, he failed to really understand Mitchelletto's meaning.

"In my bloodline, we can command our fledges to obey without question. Control over their free will. He is of my blood."

Judas' eyes widened and his stomach jumped back into his throat. Fear washed over him and he was unable to make any attempt to hide it. He looked at Mitchelletto - surely he was joking. Judas would have heard about something like this happening before, right? He would have known if that were the case, right? When Mitch had left him to die, he failed to explain any of the things that his kind was capable of. Everything Judas had to learn from scratch.

Panic surged through him again, loud, boiling over. Judas launched his good arm over to grasp Mitchelletto's throat before Laurent could stop him - if he even tried. Judas hands locked around flesh before anyone even attempted to pull him off. "Control this, you bastard!" He squeezed and tore as hard as he could, knowing that he had one chance to catch his Sire off guard. All he had to do was break Mitch's neck and then half of his problems would be solved.

"ON YOUR KNEES NOW!" Taking hold of Nikolia through the blood they shared, having no choice but to obey. He was his maker, his fucking God!

Mitchelletto was infuriated that he been touched by the pathetic bastard, his skin red and raw from Nikolia tearing at his throat. He stood in front of Nikolia for a moment, a cruel smile on his lips. Crossing his arms behind his back as he thought of the best way to punish Nikolia. Now sauntering back and forth as Nikolia remained glued in place from Mitch's command. He looked so good on his knee's, the thought crossing his mind. He should make him suck his rock hard snake in his pants, but he didn't a blessing to Nikolia in disguise.

Instead, Mitch used Quietus and altered the internal chemistry of Nikolia's blood. The poor boy began to sweat blood against his will and here came the fun part. He would dwell on the horrible shit he had done over his life, his experience his own. Mitch could not see his memories with this particular ability called Blood Sweat, but he could use the bond they shared to peer into his mind. He did not as he Laurent said earlier he could care less about his personal shit. He didn't care if the boy lived or died.

Judas was on his knees before he knew that he had moved, slipping out of the chair to the floor as if by gravity. Everything in his head was screaming, blinding him with sound, laughter, a roar of feedback. The younger vampire clamped his eyes shut to ward off the sound - to no avail. He tried to get up, knowing that one of these two were going to take advantage of his submission. His legs refused to move, his weight unshifting.

When Mitchelletto approached him, Judas became all too aware of how aroused this was making him, the bulge in his pants too near his mouth. Judas kept his mouth clamped shut, biting into the soft tissue of his tongue to prevent himself from snarling in rage or make a lunge to bite the damn cock off. Best to just let things happen if they were to happen. Hate oozed out of him at the older vampire and Judas' green eyes refused to acknowledge the disgusting creature who made him.

But then something turned in him, churning his insides. Images overcame him, fast, like some sick montage of his life. Needles pressing into collapsing veins, bloody noses that didn't stop, painful fucks in dirty places and dark alleys. There were the young women who cried, the men that beat him close to death, the dead eyes looking up at him. He relived his own prostitution in vivid colors, his own overdose and every scrap of pain that came with choking on his own bile. He saw Mitch there, fucking him too hard, feeding from him as he began to die.

There was the Frenchman connecting with his jaw, the crashing of the window as his head hit. There was the demon pressing himself into him, first down his throat, controlling him, then in his ass, fucking the leeches deeper into his brain. With tenacity, Judas relived his own rape, the feeling of losing all control of himself to someone else. The pain of entry. The hatred that built in his chest. The humans he had slaughtered in retribution. He didn't know that he was shouting, panicked blood leaking from his face.

Now this was Terribly Interesting and Very Useful information.  Either way, by his shadows or the blood that the vampires shared, Nikolai would obey.

Laurent stepped back to allow the scene to unfold before him.  Watching Nikolai fight with every inch he was given was Admirable--and that was precisely what made him such a good Source.  What a surprise that he had managed to mark his sire!  He couldn't help but laugh.

And what a Reprimanding!  That was something he hadn't seen yet.  The demon studied the kneeling vampire with fascination.

"Enough--we don't want to break him, Christ."  The demon smiled despite the words--he had been enjoying the display of suffering but they needed The Boy intact.

Mitch let out a bellow of a laugh, his bastard child must have had a hellish life. That pleased him greatly and he almost didn't hear Laurent over his infectious laughter at the boy's misery.

"Oh no this ability won't kill him," talking over Nikolia's screaming. "It just makes him sweat blood and relive all the horrible shit he's done in his lifetime." Finally letting of Nikolia's blood his skin slick with blood from sweating.

Nikolai would recover slowly as the internal chemistry of his blood balanced out, he was such a weak boy no fun at all. He had better fledglings made by accident stronger than this bastard. Nikolia would remain on his knee's. Mitch would not reverse the command unless Laurent wanted him in the chair. It was so much more humiliating to the boy, but Mitch understood this was his show.

Death was not the only way to break a mind.  But Laurent said no more on the subject.

"Now," He lept suddenly forward to the kneeling, blood-sweat slick Nikolai.  The demon crouched down to meet him at eye level.  "I want you to see what your roaches can find in the dirt and grime.  Anything about this fledge and where to find her alone, the names and locations of anyone Jake has been seen fawning over or otherwise."  His smile was mischievous, playful if not for the context.

"And let's not forget your payment, for I am nothing but fair."  The grin widened, "I do have a piece of information for you that feels..."  with a deep inhale the shadows inside of Nikolai began to squirm "Close to the heart."  He poked roughly at Nikolai's chest.

"But remember to keep an eye out for anything juicy--and no, I'm not explaining this because you are smart."  Laurent emphasized the last three words with more rough pokes in the same spot.  He straightened now and stretched.

"Before I send you on your merry way, do you have any further questions?"  The query dripped with a warning.

The churning, squeezing, squelching under his skin and his gut stopped and he could hear himself again. He could feel himself making noise before he heard himself screaming, Laurent's silk voice in his head, Mitchelletto's excitement filling his chest. The lurching momentum of stopping his ravaged mind sent him mentally spinning as he was given relief from the blood torture. Coughing, retching, and spasms wracked him for too long a time after it had all stopped. He looked weak. He felt weak. Judas - no, he was gone now, replaced with a war-torn Nikolai - put his hands out to prevent himself from falling onto his face. Judas, for all his love, couldn't save him from this fate.

And then the strange thing happened. Nikolai could feel his body, filled with Leeches and that strong pulling that he had now recognized as that so-called Sire-bond, drifting away from his control. He was floating and everything was grey.

Nikolai, absorbed in his own shock, sat Still. The muscles stopped twitching, the retching ceased pushing, and the lungs stopped desperately pulling in air. He became still, unmoving, unseeing, unaware, hands and knees on the floor at Laurent's feet. So as Laurent offered a consolitary prize for being a good puppet, neither Nikolai nor Judas heard the words. Stiffness of the limbs and mind, as if he were dead - fully dead. If only that were the case.

"Huh."  Laurent leaned in again, noticing the change in demeanor.  Feeling it.  He gave Nikolai a swift sharp kick to test.  There was no reaction.

"Curious,"  he reached out, gripping a hand around Nikolai's throat.  Still nothing.  The demon lifted him into the air by the throat, peering directly into his vacant eyes before placing him down in the chair again.  He turned to Mitch.

"See, I told you.  Broken."  An irritated sigh, though his expression was amused.  He crossed his arms over his chest and looked down at the younger vampire, thinking.  Maybe a bucket of ice would do the trick?  Maybe he should just toss him out into the street to find his way.  Surely he'll be coming to.  This all must've been a great shock for the Poor Boy.

"You can still stick your dick up his ass and use him as a puppet," not joking his tone was serious. Looking Nikolia up and down with disgust, such a weak boy. He still had uses broken.

Mitch reached through the bond to see what he could feel, there was no emotion. As his psyche froze itself to protect Nikolia, tipping his head slightly and crossing his arms. This was interesting! What did people call it these days? Traumatized? No it was a different word. Catatonic! It had been so long since he had someone so weak going into that state.

"I believe he is catatonic. What they call it these days," a small grin on his lips. "He'll come out of it sooner or later. Not like we killed the poor whelp." He shrugged in disappointment still looking at the boy.

"Fascinating."  The demon said, prodding some more at the seemingly vacant cadaver.

"Well, he knows what he needs to do."  Laughing, Laurent grabbed Nikolai and hoisted him over his shoulder.  Crossing over to the exit, he opened the door and tossed Nikolai out into the hallway like a piece of luggage.  Pulling his cell out of his pocket, he sent a quick text for someone to come collect the vampire and put him out on the street.  He then turned back to Mitch with a devilish grin.

"Now--shall we see about getting you back into the city then?"
