Title: Cold Night
Post by: Fell on June 12, 2007, 02:11:50 PM
December could see his breath in the air, but it had always been these sorts of nights that suited him best. The ones where it seemed too cold to have clouds, and all the stars seemed clearer. The stars hummed in December\'s soft ears as he walked across the grass. Yes, it would have been faster just to teleport through the realm of the fae, but speed was not the point, at the moment. The point was to walk through the night, and watch his breath turn white before him. Never let them call me un-romantic, the cait sith thought dispassionately, his mouth curling into a dangerous smile.

December\'s strides were carrying him towards the Eastern Tower, which was by far the best place to get close to the stars. Some sidhe could fly; December wasn\'t one of them, though he sometimes envied them that particular skill. It was partially out of curiosity, and partially out of envy almost for the sake thereof. December was well aware of the fact that it wasn\'t nice, but he didn\'t care. He hadn\'t been made to be "nice" anyway.

His black longcoat swirled about his knees as he turned to the door. Normally, December would just teleport through it, but most of the towers and such around here had barriers to prevent that sort of a thing. The newly-made Master could break through it if he needed to, but it was an unnecessary waste of energy at the moment. That was why midnight (December always knew when it was midnight - it was just something he could feel) found the black-haired man unlocking the door of the tower and sliding silently inside.

Leave it open, or not to leave it open, December thought, turning to narrow his pale eyes at the slightly-ajar door. Closing it would be the proper thing to do, but leaving it... Leaving it would be a whole lot more interesting. Not to mention get some student who walked in, breaking the rules, in trouble. Yes... open it is, the cait sith thought coldly, turning his back on the door to begin his ascent of the tower. He would know when someone walked in, if they were a student. And if they were good enough to slip by him, well, they were probably allowed in then, weren\'t they?

It will be... interesting... to see who comes, December thought as he climbed, almost seeming to glide through the shadows he was so similar to. Interesting indeed...

Tuo just couldn\'t resist it... This night was so beautiful and crisp. Utterly perfect. Tonight, she had the night off, nothing to do, nothing to complete which suited Tuo just fine. Normally, the vampire would be doing little tasks such as "delivering scrolls". She was getting somewhat impatient because she hasn\'t been handed an important task in a long time. The last task that was considered "important" was over 7 months ago and that wasn\'t exactly pleasant. Tuo shook her head to get rid of the thought but it still didn\'t fade from her head. She had to exterminate a plagued student... Tuo could normally kill anything... But a child... It seemed so different to her... The student was only 13 and was completely mad. It had already attacked five other students... She really did not want to kill the infected child but she knew it had to be done. Tuo shook her head again and rubbed her forehead muttering to herself,
"Try and not to think about it. If you didn\'t do it, you would probably of been in some deep shit, huh?"

Tuo found herself at the East Tower, she had always loved this tower... A perfect place to be alone. She smiled and placed a pale hand on the stone exterior. She loved the feeling of the cold rock on her palm and she felt as thought she could of stayed here forever but something made her want venture inside. The vampire thought to herself,
"Perhaps... Perhaps I will study the stars tonight. Maybe they have something to tell me."
Tuo smirked and walked quietly inside. She noticed the door was left open, frowning. Doors were never left open in such a place and to see one open now... It made Tuo wonder, she was excited, perhaps there was a student here! Sliding into the shadows, she padded quietly up the staircase, curious if there really was a student or something else.

December had never expected someone to enter so quickly after he had! He had only just reached the top when he "sensed" someone enter. It wasn\'t consciously sound, nor smell, nor feel, but simply a gut feeling. It was a feeling that December quickly confirmed by turning his sensitive ears down the hallway. Whoever it was, they were very, very quiet - it was hard even for December to hear them, which meant that they probably weren\'t a student. A shame... December thought as he slowly cocked his head to the side, a dangerous smile playing on his lips.

Well, might as well make a dramatic entrance, the cait sith thought, turning away from the doorway onto the roof. December walked around it, then climbed on top of the structure so that he was sitting almost right on top of the doorway. To December, it was a good place. He would know who they were before they even knew he was there, and, if he didn\'t like who it turned out to be, he would be gone before they knew anyone had been there. He would, or they would. Then again, no use getting into trouble with the administration, the black-haired man reasoned. It was always a pain when you killed someone they didn\'t want you to.

And so December waited. He noticed something curious as whoever it was neared - he couldn\'t hear a heartbeat, and barely their footfalls. Oh they are good.... Or from Confuto as well, December thought. As far as the lack of a heartbeat went... Well, that was a bit odder. There weren\'t many without a neating heart at the Academy, but there were several explanations for it. Perhaps they were a vampire, or a construct. A good conclusion would have to wait for the person to show up, though.

When they did, December grinned wryly. He recognised her; he had better. She was an Apprentice, and from Confuto to boot. Searching his memory quickly, December also recalled that she was a vampire. They had taken some classes together when he was still a student. The dead learn so slowly, December thought, looking down at her. He readied himself in case of attack, then spoke. "Good evening," he said, his voice smooth, cold and slightly dangerous. His small smile had much the same quality. His entire being did. "What brings you up here?"

Tuo gasped slightly but regained herself. She didn\'t want to look foolish or cowardly. She frowned, this cait sith... She knew him but never actually knew him personally. The vampire paused before speaking, she was unsure of him... The cait sith, she was having trouble remembering his name. She refused to speak until the name was once again imprinted in her head.
"It\'s an unusual name... It stars with a d... D... Dragomir? No... "
She thought with frustration.
Not only could she not remember his name but he looked as though he was about to attack her any minute. Placing the pale hands inside her cloak, pretending to warm them however her fingers clasped two throwing knives, ready for anything.

Tuo decided that she might as well speak, the name would eventually come to her... She hoped so anyway.
"Evening. What am I doing here? I decided I would ponder beneath the stars... I might even dare to ask for my future!"
She rolled her eyes and continued,
"Ah... Sorry"
December! That\'s his name! The name just suddenly came to her mind. She was pleased about it because she hated not being able to remember things.

Pale yellow eyes flicked to her hands, hands that she hid in her cloak. "Warming them", December thought contemptuously. You\'d think she wouldn\'t try such an obvious trick. The gasp had pleased him, at least. "You don\'t have a heartbeat, so why warm your hands?" the black-haired man asked smoothly, a small smile playing on his lips. His manner was both so polite and so dangerous... It was like talking to an adder.

December raised an eyebrow at the girl\'s response. That was overly dramatic, he thought. At least she realised it too; her apology said that much. Still, for an Apprentice to still hold such drama in them... The dead learn slowly, December thought again, reminding himself that she would look 19 for the rest of her days. Perhaps that meant a 19 year old mentality as well. That would be unfortunate... But I\'ll be long gone by the time she turns Master, December thought.

"Asking the stars for your future, hmm? Why not make your own?" December asked, sliding gently off of his perch to come stand uncomfortably close to her. "I wouldn\'t attack me, dear..." he added, tipping his hat downwards so that it covered one eye, "...as it would be bad form on your part." December\'s small smile grew ever so slightly as he spoke. He wondered what this Apprentice would do - not listen to his advice, perhaps? Or maybe just back away? Maybe she would surprise him with an entirely different reaction. This should be.... interesting, December thought. It wasn\'t often he got to toy with the dead.

(Tuo is sarcastic a lot... Expect it in the future :B! By the way, I\'m putting up a picture of Tuo in her profile... Just in face you want a basic idea of what she looks like.)

Tuo was surprised how close December was to her. She wasn’t really bothered by it but it was unexpected. She had never really noticed but he had very unusual eyes… She was so drawn into them, she could of just looked at them forever but she thought,
“I would look like more of a freak than usual if I keep on staring”.
She replied quietly to his statement about how she was “warming” her hands,
“Because of my lack of heartbeat, I am only able to feel little… I wouldn’t be able to feel my hands becoming stiff due to the coldness in the air.”
The vampire’s hands fell by her side, slightly clenched.

Tuo frowned slightly, he was taunting her and it was working. She was getting a bit angry but she decided she wouldn’t get rash. Her lack of patience and her impulsiveness sometimes annoyed her but she never bothered to learn from her mistakes. Despite being a vampire for a long time, she still acts rash like a teenager… Thankfully, not the angsty kind but the angry-out burst kind.  Replying,
“I see you’re not familiar with sarcasm… I don’t see the point of praying to the stars. They can’t help you… They can’t predict your future… To those that prayer to them… I feel almost sorry for them… But they are idiotic enough to think the stars can help…”

Sighing, bring a hand inside her cloak and she brought out a throwing knife. Tuo did intend harm anyone tonight but she was ready just in case she had to. Twirling it around between those pale fingers of hers, asking with a slight smile,
“So, what is a master doing here? I’m sure you have your reasons but you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.”
Pausing, she continued, she just remembered he had said that if she attacked him, she would be fucked or something along the similar lines.  Frowning again, she stated.
“Please, MASTER, do not taunt me. I would think you, too, would regret it…”

He let the heartbeat thing slide. Tuo\'s reply had been reasonably clever, at least. There was something to be said for her... December supposed. Still, it was time that would tell. And perhaps she was more worthwhile than she dirst appeared. Many people were; December\'s own brother, for example.

"I see you\'ve never taken an astronomy class," December stated softly when Tuo stated that the stars couldn\'t tell you anything. The cait sith glanced upwards, disregarding the vampiress for the moment as he considered the celestial orbs. Hmm... he thought. What they said tonight was rather interesting. He wondered if it would turn out to be true.

December raised a smooth eyebrow when Tuo drew a knife from her robes. Was she really that silly? Forever a teenager... the black-haired man thought, smiling softly as his previous suspicion turned out to be accurate. Looking 19 meant more than just an ever-young face, it seemed. As far as her question went... December just answered with his statement about attacking him.

December was genuinely surprised at Tuo\'s brashness. Such are those who have never learned the consequence of defying their betters, the cait sith reasoned, his pale eyes narrowing ever so slightly even as his cold smile remained. His appearance was more sinister now than it had been before - more threatening. He cocked his head ever so slightly to the side, his large ears catching the little noises. Catching... then bending, then moving, all into the throwing knife that spun between her fingers. December\'s magic moved far too quickly to react to, and resulted in a shattered blade.

The cait sith threw the arm of his robes up briefly to shield him from the shrapnel, then lowered it smoothly. "Do not forget your place, Apprentice," December said, his words eeriely cold and smooth, his smile seeming out-of-place on his face for his actions. "That was all I meant... Though it seems you needed the reminder more than I thought you had," he continued, pale eyes locking onto Tuo\'s own. December wasn\'t using his mesmorising magic, no, but even without trying they drew people in and he knew it. You would be killed in the Court, the Unseelie sidhe thought languidly. She was lucky he hadn\'t reacted as custom, his custom, dictated.

Of course, she kept forgetting about ranks and such... It was never much of a bother to her. Just being an apprentice, it suited her fine. However, if she wanted to get out of the academy, she would have to complete her education and so forth. Personally, she didn’t think anyone would notice if she killed this smart arse master, Those kind of things happen all the time… Death.

Tuo was bothered by the man, so this one follows the star’s law as well? He is an idiot. I thought he would have been a bit more clever than but I should of expected otherwise.  Beginning to lose patience with the constant taunting she was receiving however, choosing to ignore it just a bit longer. She wouldn’t do anything just yet, just have to wait and see. Of course, she was longing to slice that ‘pretty’ neck but for once, she knew a bit better, December was a Master and would be most likely talented with the blade… Or perhaps magick. One of those things at least.

When he took the blade from her hands, bent it then shattered it with his magick, she was angry(an understatement though). The vampire absolutely hated it when she lost her throwing daggers or when they got damaged. Why? Because she would have to get more and the one he destroyed was one of her favourites. Looking at the remains of the dagger  then at the Cait  Sidhe. For some reason, she was felt drawn in despite her rage. His eyes, his fucking eyes.. Snarling, reaching quickly in her robes and quickly however, blindly threw the dagger. December’s eyes had distracted her and the blade was completely off course but at least it landed somewhere. The blade impaled his upper arm, God, I was completely off course… Naturally, Tuo didn’t care for her safety, once again her wrath took control of her and now all the vampire wanted was to damage that pretty skin of his.

((She really is hot-headed! ^^ I guess I saw this coming, though... And I forgot to say before, but I liked the pic))

December saw her move, darting into her robes, and saw the look on her face. You really are stupid, he thought languidly. But she was, if nothing else, fast - her dagger landed him a nice cut on his upper arm. It wasn\'t iron (December would have sensed any iron she had on her and simply left before she knew he was here), which meant it would be healed in the next day or two. That did not, however, make him any happier about the afront, or the damage done to his robes. His pale eyes darted towards her. You are completely out of control... December thought, somewhat surprised. Who on earth had graduated her to Apprentice with that kind of a temper? Damnabe idiot, whoever that was. But for now, he had something else to worry about - not accidentally killing her; flashes of dangerous anger were already going off below the surface.

December leapt gracefully backwards, back onto the spot he\'d been in when Tuo had walked up. "So... You truly mean to attack a master of your own house?" he asked softly, not preturbed by his wound. It would clot soon enough; December trusted unto his body\'s healing prowess. The question he asked, though... It might have seemed unnecessary. Most probably would have taken the injury alone as license to simply tear Tuo apart. December would have liked to, but he had only just been graduated, and it would look bad if one of his first actions as a Master was to kill an Apprentice. It was good that she was of his house; it would look even worse if she weren\'t, but the fact remained...

Looking down at her, December was fairly sure he knew what her answer would be. Stupid child, he thought again. He wouldn\'t be hit again - that, he was determined of. As for Tuo\'s punishment... He would have to think on it after they were done with this little dance.

(Yeah, she really is. *Pets the grumpy vampire*.  Thanks by the way! =D By the way, Shurikenjutsu it\'s a type of a throwing knife ;p except with a fancy name)

There was no way that this vampire was going back off. Why? For she was infected with pride. Tuo would never back off unless she really was \'fucked\'... that never usually happened though, she would stay in the fight till the end. The vampire had not expected a flicker of surprise on the man\'s face. In fact, she only thought, he was one of those stupid apathetic snobs. I still can\'t believe I missed! I\'ll get the bastard in the right place next time. Most of the time, Tuo had a perfect aim but because of the man\'s haunting eyes, the vampire was basically blind.

When he had lept backwards to where Tuo had originally found him.Not willing to fight face to face? Coward. She thought bitterly. When December asked the question, the vampire was surprised, He isn\'t in pain... he isn\'t in pain! He isn\'t mortal... so that wound will probably heal soon. While trying to think of ideas to severely hurt him, Tuo replied,
"Yes. I don\'t give a damn what rank you are so don\'t give me that \'master\' bullshit. To me, it all depends on the person. You\'re probably going to think \'oh what an cretin! Only cretin\'s think like that!\'..."
Sneering and adding,
"So, baby, let\'s dance!"

Once again, like a flash, her hand went inside her robe but this time, grasping a Shurikenjutsu and threw it at where December was perching, it landed with a soft thud into his leg, near his calf. Tuo put a lot of power into this one considering she wasn\'t distracted this time.
Title: Re: Cold Night
Post by: Fell on June 29, 2007, 12:46:46 AM
((I think you mean shuriken are a type of throwing knife - throwing stars or needles, really. I love them! X3 My dad used to let me play with his... Shurikenjutsu would be the art or technique of using shuriken))

"Actually, I just think you\'re foolhardy not to care," December replied quietly, his lazy eyes not missing a move she made. The hand that darted into her robes was fast, December would grant it that, but he had already been hit once. There was no need to further damage himself. December reached out with a trace of magic while Tuo\'s weapon was in the air, calling up shadows momentarily. They swirled around the weapon for but a moment before leaving it to thud into Decembers leg - thud, but that was about all. The knife had been badly warped and corroded, so though it hit fairly hard - That may even leave a small bruise, December thought with amusement - it didn\'t penetrate.

It frustrated December, knowing that he really couldn\'t kill Tuo. He had been trained to kill, not to disable, and that was what he was going to have to do. Unless I just throw her off the tower... the cait sith thought, though he supposed that might kill her as well. He just didn\'t know enough about her strengths to know what would be safe to do. She *is* attacking me... Perhaps I should worry about it less, December reasoned. All his thinking took place in a split second, and did not detract from the attention he was paying Tuo.

This whole thing was irritating to the Master, but it was what it was. December snapped his fingers, starting the sound. It wasn\'t the best start for what he was planning, but it was better than many of his other options and he could suitably modify it anyway. Once the sound was out of his fingers, December honed it, deepened it and concentrated it, all of which took about as long as it had for him to think. When he was done, he let it fly at Tuo\'s chest - an invisible ball of force about as strong as a wrecking ball, and an inaudible one as well. That was the beauty of concentrating sound in on itself; it couldn\'t get out. The only noise it made was one of moving air, much as a breeze might make. Still, it wasn\'t hard to sense as magic. A shame, that, but when it traveled at the speed of sound, why worry too much? Such beauty in the manipulation of sound... December thought, watching his adversary carefully.

Frustrated that the blade she had thrown didn’t penetrate his flesh. All these thoughts were flooding through her mind, How am I going to do this… How on earth am I going to do this. .  Those thoughts just kept repeating and repeating. If only he could come down to her level, then her tanto would become of great use… not that using it was a favourite technique. Tuo didn’t bother replying to December’s arrogant reply also, the fact; he had once again mutilated one of her blades!

Giving up wasn’t an option, Tuo would rather be dead than yield. Watching the Master carefully, she had to be careful because there was no doubt that December was skilled in whatever art he studied in. When he clicked his fingers, Tuo was briefly confused then she felt a ‘push’ on her chest. It knocked her violently to the ground, knocking scattered telescopes and breaking one or two. Shock nearly over came her but quickly got over it. The bastard is skilled in magick! And damn, he’s very good at it too!
Tuo’s chest ached however trying not to show the pain, kicking a telescope near her foot, probably breaking it but the vampire didn’t give a damn. You like to dance like then?

Pushing herself from the ground, Tuo reached inside her robes again… her fingers hesitated then stopped. I won’t be able to hit him…the goddamn bastard.
“Are you just going to continue perching up there like a parrot? Or you willing to come down and fight face to face?”

You think to play to my pride. Fool. December\'s thoughts were cold and calculated. He would not give over to anger, for anger was the mind-killer. It was anger that got people killed, for it made people irrational. People like Tuo. "No," the cait sith answered simply and curtly, his voice sounding more amused than it should have. December was curious to see how Tuo would respond to such an answer, as he doubted it was one she had expected. Parrot... Odd choice of bird, he thought, though it was a thought that floated through the back of his mind. In the forefront was the Now, and that was precisely what should be there. Placing the Now anywhere else was another good way to get oneself killed.

Speaking of the Now, December had used much of his word as his next attack (which was, incidentally, why it had sounded so curt). Any sound he made, or any that Tuo did, could easily be molded into another weapon. There was no need to waste noise. And so, December\'s simple "no" fractured into a multitude of tiny needles of force. Normally, December would have left them sharp so as to simply kill his opponent, but he had already decided against that here. And so, while they were thin, the ends were also a rounded "wall" of sound. It wasn\'t likely they would penetrate, though they certainly would have left bad bruises had Tuo\'s heart been beating. As it was, it was just many points of concentrated force shooting at her, shotgun style. December knew it would pack quite a punch if it hit, and even a couple of them would throw her off-balance a little.

What are you planning to do? December wondered, watching Tuo carefully for any sign of further attack. He hoped she would just give up soon so that he could enjoy a cold, quiet night...

Her eyebrows knitting together slighting before raising them ever so slightly. Amused herself.Blunt? Yeah. A slight smiled curled at the tips of her mouth,
"Hey, wow, you\'re a bit blunt."
Like Tuo could talk, the vampire was fucking blunt herself sometimes, not neglecting to mention sarcastic. Oh, foolish too. On the rare occasion, there is wisdom but the person has to be lucky enough to hear it... or possess extreme patience. Pulling some strands of hair out of her eyes and regarded December. Certainly fucking strong. Probably be fucked if I continue... But I dunno. I don\'t want to look like some coward. I ain\'t no coward. Don\'t exactly want to die just yet though. Such were the train of thoughts of the childish vampire.

Even if she wanted to continue indecisive thoughts, Tuo wouldn\'t of had a choice anyway. Why? For the pain... no, agony sprung onto the vampire\'s flesh. The immortal\'s flesh felt like it was being sundered. Falling to the floor, Tuo just looked like a small girl. Maybe she still is. Tuo lifted up an arm while keeping the other on the ground, waving around her wrist before clenching it and giving December a good ol\' flipping off.
"Yeah, yeah. Fuck you."
Yes, this was the vampire\'s way of abdicating. Pretty weak. Looking up at December, thick strands of hair hanging in front of the vampiric eyes and head scarf falling off slightly. Whispering beneath her breath,
"...arrogant bastard."
I\'ll get you back. One of these days... If I can be bothered.
Holding her head on her palm and muttering,
"Whatever."

((Let me know if you mind this horribly, and I can change it. It\'s just so purely December that I can\'t really justify not doing it without your express forbiddence ^^; Just read on. You\'ll see.))

December raised an eyebrow, paying attention even in the middle of his little spell. Did she expect him to waste breath in combat? That would be just what the name implied - a waste. December had better things to focus on than mindless chatter with an impulsive apprentice.

The cait sith watched Tuo fall over, then flip him off and curse at him. He raised another eyebrow; given what she was doing and how she was doing it, she had to be abdicating, but what on earth was she thinking, treating him as such? Had she never heard of manners? Well, no matter. The "arrogant bastard" at the end caused a line of anger to flare up in him again, though. "Arrogant?" he asked softly, his eyes wandering over her face and body in a somewhat clinical way. "It was you who was being arrogant, this night," December continued, speaking half to himself. What punishment, what punishment... It was more difficult to punish apprentices than students. And with this one... December would have to make sure she\'d be less inclined to try something like that again.

December paused. It certainly fed his malicious, mischevous streak, and it would certainly please him. Furthermore, Tuo would probably hate it. It would be a very subtle punishment, and one that almost certainly wouldn\'t get through, though - perhaps he would have to add something on to it. Yes... That would do, December thought, picturing the stack of papers he had to grade. That would be fine. But first...

December was atop the stairway one moment, and immediately in front of Tuo the next. He was already focusing - not entirely, but enough so that it would takejust slightly less than a second - on his eyes when he appeared there. December moved quickly so that he was staring into her eyes, pinning both of her hands gently but firmly. He was prepared, too, should she have another trick up her sleeve - he almost expected it. "Look at me, Tuo," he whispered, the hint of malice and cold amusement in his voice covered up by his eyes.

Those pale yellow orbs had just become the most fascinating thing in the world. Mesmerising as they had been before, they were now utterly enchanting. Now... Now December was using the gift granted to him by his sidhe blood. Now he was charming Tuo into an intense attraction to him, simply because he knew it would be inconvinient for her, and now... now he spoke. Tuo probably didn\'t even know what he\'d done, as their powers were a well-guarded secret in the Sidhe Courts.

"It\'s inexcusable to attack a master, let alone one of your own house. As punishment - and this is a much lighter punishment that you perhaps deserve - you\'re to come to my quarters tomorrow evening." His eyes had long ceased working their magic, and the effort he\'d exerted to speed the process left him a little bit drained. Drained, but not badly. He\'d done much worse to himself in the past. "You\'ll be helping me grade papers. That is all." His breath smelled sweet - like grass, almost. December straightened and backed away two steps. "I\'ll see you tomorrow evening. Goodnight."

And he was gone.

(Oh no. It\'s fine! So I gather that Tuo and December are to meet for \'detention\'?XD  I find this to be very amusing because I am just imagining Tuo\'s horror. Hahahahaha.)

How embarrassing! Not only that, anger over whelmed Tuo however she expressed without a word, without movement. Not even a little tremble. There were only two reasons why she was angry. 1) She could even sunder the skin of the \'pretty boy!\' 2) He was beating the shit out of her. Such humiliation... she could have no dignity despite how much she wanted it.

The vampire refused to look at the Cait Sidh, he didn\'t deserve to have her eye contact... any communication. However, this was a sign of Tuo\'s defeat. Even if she did choose to talk, what would she say exactly?

Fuck, if I know.

However when December made the comment that it was in fact, Tuo that had been arrogant and not himself, the vampire expressed her anger. From a clenched first to out stretched fingers, she scratched the floor leaving small but deep marks. Tuo couldn\'t resist temptation anymore, glancing up through the black locks of hair at December who seemed to be plotting something.

What are you thinking... another way to humiliate me?

His facial structure changed... the vampire wasn\'t quite sure what the man was feeling but she assumed he was pleased about something.

Oh god... what is he going to do... fucking bastard

Suddenly, December lept from the stairway...

Fucking parrot

then in front of her! He held her hands firmly down so Tuo wouldn\'t be able to move. Clenching her eyes tight so there would be eye contact whatsoever

He is going to -

The vampire\'s thoughts were cut off when December spoke, no matter how hard she tried to resist she just couldn\'t... Tuo looked at December, directly in  the eye. All the rage that adorned her, vanquished into nothing... now something else was there except what was it? Why did she suddenly think that December was a great and wonderful man. Didn\'t she have feelings for Maledict anymore? Or did they just leave exactly like the anger did? The vampire completely oblivious and had no idea what December did to her. Listening carefully to what December was saying, she wasn\'t annoyed or anything negative but that was only because of the spell she was under.
"I understand."
Tuo replied quietly, staring at December with blank eyes.

The vampire blinked and the man was gone. Tuo shook her head and looked around, strained to hear anything out of the ordinary but nothing came.
