Title: Gypsy In a Combat Frenzy
Post by: sagedistorm on June 17, 2007, 12:44:26 PM
Ameya’s face remained impassive as he continued to practice his combat techniques. It was odd to see no expression on the face of someone who jumped high and ducked low, spinning and kicking, flipping and twisting.
In the light of the clear moon in the crisp night air, one could look closely and see that when he stretched his arms or legs rather far, slender bits of matter would extrude. It was a rather impressive display, if Ameya did think so himself. And he did.
The infamous ball of hair that resided upon his head seemed to be bigger, for the hair that would normally fall down his back had been twisted into it. One would think that it would cause him to be clumsier, or at least weigh his head down. But it did nothing of the sort. It was as if the five feet of thick wavy hair didn’t even exist.
Front split, twist, jump, air-twist, diagonal axis-flip, summersault, left-foot land while right foot kick out, right foot stomp, left foot spin kick, twelve arm strike, front flip, double-foot land, arms extend to the side, needles extrude, poison inject, power-down.
Ameya’s face remained impassive and blank, his dark skin absorbing the full moonlight and letting it outline his facial and bodily contours. His hair shined, nappy and tangled as it absorbed the sweat that could not get past it and onto his head. He inhaled and exhaled as easily as if he’d been simply strolling down the lane.
“Would you be a dear and play the willing volunteer?” he called, voice not as expressionless as his face, but betraying nothing of his feelings. “I sure could use someone to try a new toxin on,” he joked, though one could not tell from his face.

Apparently he was meant to meet a fellow High Apprentice here but they didn\'t end up showing which severely irritated Mortanius. Then again, anything irritates Mortanius but that\'s the man for you. Out of boredom, he conjured a small creature, it was white decorated with long horns and numerous eyes. It\'s fur glowed slightly, this creature was more of a lamp then an attacker. Actually, it\'s attacking methods were pretty pathetic. The man shrugged at this thought and walked farther into the Combat and Weapon Training, perhaps the other High Apprentice was around somewhere.

Them Mortanius saw a young man practicing and he felt thoroughly amused at the sight. What... What is that on his head... is that hair? His mouth was slightly opened for he has never, ever seen such hair. Muffling laughter behind his fingers, Mortanius walked over the man however ignoring what he had said earlier about being a volunteer. No fucking way am I going to help. I\'m just here to meet someone and I ain\'t here to fuck around.
"Excuse me."Trying to sound polite as possible however it probably just sounded skeptical or something like. "Have you seen any High Apprentices around? I am meeting one here but he has not shown."

Ameya\'s facial expression did not change as he turned around to see a man with unkempt hair (not as bad as his own). "Really?" He looked around.

"Oh," Ameya looked down at the grass and then to the moon, as if searching about. "Do you know his name? Or appearance... Or just that you are supposed to meet him?"

Judging from his appearance, the other was a bit older than the age he himself was alleged to be. He seemed to be somewhat impatient. Ameya could tell that he was used to getting what he wanted.

Yes, Mortanius was indeed the impatient type, he didn\'t people who asked constant questions but it was possible for him to be polite... that is, when needed.
"Yes, really."
Waving a hand around impatiently, watching what the man with the most bizarre hair that Mortanius has even seen... he thought his hair was quite messy.

Anyway...

"Oh god, I wouldn\'t know what he would look like. My Master told me that I should meet him... that he\'ll be useful for my advancement."
The man scoffed at the idea,
"If he is so useful, how come he hasn\'t shown up?"
Adding, more to himself than the other man. Mortanius looked over, frowning, he was sure he had seen this particular man. Ah yes, he was a fellow High Apprentice in Veneficus, how could he forget? Perhaps this was the man the Master told him to meet.
"I apologise, I only just remembered. You are too a High Apprentice of Veneficus? Are you to meet anyone tonight?"
Mortanius asked with such a charming, polite tone that no one would\'ve guessed he was an antagonistic bastard.

Ameya enjoyed how the other’s voice had changed as he said ‘master’. Impatience seemed to be bred in his body like some sort of bacteria. Understanding this, Ameya slowly unraveled the hair from about his head, making a considerably smaller ball, but adding something spectacular in the way of length.

“Don’t apologize,” Ameya patronized, though one could hardly see through his featureless tone. “I’m somewhat forgettable… As well as forgetful, it seems.” He wiped his hands across each other. “Ameya Amethyst at your service,” he bowed lightly. “I’m presuming you are Maranius… Something or other… Fiddlesticks – forgetful, as I’ve said.” Anyone with two eyes and a brain could tell that he was obviously being sarcastic.

Watching the man let loose his hair

His obnoxiously long hair...

and folded his arms. Mortanius was in a 50/50 mood, one part of him wanted this to be the High Apprentice he was supposed to meet but the other part was hoping it wasn\'t. The man... or as he declared himself: Ameya, his tone was tainted with sarcasm which Mortanius did not appreciate.
"It\'s Morntanius"
He said with gritted teeth,
"Are you here to meet someone? Or are you just here for the sake of it?"

"Don\'t be so rash," Ameya said as if he was calming down an angry elephant. "They told me to come down and I came. Didn\'t know I was supposed to meet anyone. Frankly," he said, shaking dead ends of his hair to the ground, "no one seems in the mood to tell me anything as of late."

He decided that the man was obviously in a hurry - a hurryful hurry at that! Ameya forwent his urge to disappear and reappear behind the man in an eruption of golden fire. Instead, he looked expressionlessly at the other. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

Mortanius looked around helplessly... not forgetting to mention, he was feeling quite annoyed. The Master usually liked playing tricks on him... and this was probably another one of this. He sighed and glanced back and the long haired male,
"I see. My master informed me that the High Apprentice I was supposed to meet had all the details."
He shrugged,
"... then again, knowing the master he loves to play tricks... so this might one of his... I have to admit however, if it is, it\'s probably his worst."

Ameya, for the first time that evening (or even that month) showed a small amount of emotion on his face. It was a cryptic look in trace amounts evenly distributed over his features. He said, slowly at first, "I do have details... And I may have heard of something..."

He stopped and looked around, as if checking for intruders. "To be completely honest: I believe you are being misled. Or perhaps I am not the apprentice you are seeking. I am, however, signed up for a mission later this week; are you some sort of assistance?" Any trace amounts of emotion had vanished by that point, though his blank look could be mistaken for seriousness.

Chaos didn\'t know that there was a \'meeting\' going on between the two males. Her ears twitched as she got closer for she could hear them almost crystal clear. She was reading and walking at the same time, but that wasn\'t the smart idea. Hergolden eyes would scan every word on the white paper, who\'s words were written in black ink.

She looked up from her book to see who was talking and who was listening. Her tail swished side to side as she walked towards the two. Her hair seemed to float along behind her for a slight wind picked up throught the training facility.

"Why art thou sad?"Chaos said as she read aloud what was written. She dreamed that one day she could write her own story or perform for hundreds of people far and wide. She was a bit of a drama queen, but a little snoby around those who do not believe in theater.
