Title: Star of Bad Luck *
Post by: LexiXander on March 21, 2008, 11:36:14 AM
{(Reserved for DD :3)}

Auel hadn’t had very many strokes of good luck since his brother’s death. And tonight, if he were lucky, then it would be on his side and not let him get caught in the East Tower. It was restricted, especially after hours like at this very moment, but he was doing a paper for his astronomy class (one of the many extra classes characteristic to the Purificio house) and his streak of black luck had run him the only class member not to get supervised time in the Tower. It was now left up to him to practice his skills in stealth as well as finish an essay.

He sat in one of the large window seats, a telescope propped up next to him and protruding from the custom made window inside the larger pane. One leg limply hung off the side of the seat, it’s match bent up and supporting his notes carefully for writing down observations. Truth be told, he’d let his guard down for the moment, too absorbed in one of his favorite topics. Not a smart move in a school full of assassins just waiting to play cruel and harmful tricks on the quiet, older looking teen.

The East Tower.... What could he really say about it other then it was the best place to meet...no one.....no one at all. Secluded....well, usually. Sure there are few people that entered it to delve in the mysterious secrets hidden in the dusted, and slightly torn books. Makai had often been that person so it wasn\'t surprising that he ended up going up to \'borrow\' a few more books. He was an Apprentice so he had the right to have a key to the door but then again....keys are for people who need doors.

His body merely a ghostly form of its former self, it appearing pale and fleeting at times whenever he moved, his hair that was free from its ribbon seemed like a ghostly curtain of blonde and sea green as he glided through the halls without a sound towards the East Tower. When he reached it, he traveled along the outside walls, astral fingers appearing to brush the moist stone before he shoved forward. He slipped through the wall like it wasn\'t there and without a sound.

Makai immediately noticed someone else there and that someone seemed to be carelessly not paying attention. If anyone could have seen Makai\'s face they would have compared it to a cat finding a mouse to play with. He could purr, if he had the vocals for that, that is. The solemn green of his eyes sharpened with held-back amusement as he glided over to the young man working. He couldn\'t really get a good face of the man unless he wanted to be noticed. Ah well.

He walked up until he was at the back of the young man and slowly wrapped his arms around the other\'s shoulder before breathing a ghostly, echoing breath into the other\'s ears, "The stars are lovely tonight. Watch them with me for eternity. Together."

Auel stiffened when he felt a cold pair of arms encircle his collarbone and shoulders. His quills incredibly sharp tip was ready to be stabbed in the closest vital organ or pressure point, but doing that without knowledge of who was there was certainly not a good idea.

A shiver wracked up his spine as a seductive voice whispered in his ear, his incubi blood willing to take the bait, but the more potent humans blood in his veins won over. His voice spoke clearly, whispering back, “They are, I agree, but I’m afraid eternity will have to wait, and so will you.” ‘I have a paper due.’ His voice did not have to be altered in the slightest for it to have the consistency of warm, melting chocolate, along with it’s sensuality. Not only was his voice unique but also his unspoken words were as clear as if they’d been given to the air.

His eyes widened, large green orbs staring at the thick mane of brown hair in surprise. Makai nearly pouted but instead his lips firmed into a frown. It wasn\'t any fun if they weren\'t disturbed at all. Maybe he just wasn\'t very good at playing the haunting ghost. The soft purr of the other\'s voice would have made him shiver were he not in his astral form. "No fun...." He muttered before pulling back, his arms unraveling from the other\'s shoulders as he floated backwards. His feet didn\'t touch the ground and if they did, they slipped through the boards and bobbed back up.

"Hmmm....A student?" Makai questioned before staring at the back with interest, and a light smile on his face. He kicked his leg to the side, steering his body to flip upside down, his hair falling down until it brushed the floor. "Of course considering you are doing a paper." He said with a soft, amused laugh.

Auel settled back once the arms had left his body free of inhibitation. That voice had been rather tempting, as well as the touch. It only got harder to control his incubi blood the longer he went without that source of energy. However, ghostly forms weren’t exactly the best people to have sex with, especially considering they weren’t entirely there.

The two different orbs glanced from the corner of his eye at the interesting intruder. Most would be frightened but Auel simply stared as he turned himself entirely the wrong way down. “Yes. I’d appreciate it if you didn’t run off and tell people I’m here.” ‘If you wouldn’t mind.’ He still had at least a fourth of his essay left and it was due next week. (To him this was doing things the last minute, seeing as the project had been given a week ago now.)

Makai shrugged at the other\'s request before his body seemed to firm and fill out, the colors of his skin and clothing darkening as he released his astral form and his body became human once more. He flexed his fingers slowly, making sure  he had all the feeling back into them before glancing back up at the other. "Sure, sure. No problem. Can\'t say I didn\'t do this when I was a student either." He practically hummed out with a grin before strolling over to a wall filled with the books that made a fossil look new.

"Take your time." He said, his hand lifting to finger a book before moving to the next one. "Tu...tu..tu...tu...tu...ah." After passing the several books, he withdrew on from the cradle of the bookcase before he jumped up and using the power of spirit, kept himself levitating as he eyed another row of books. He quickly found the second book to the series and let himself touch the floor once more.

He quickly crossed the room and plopped down on the dusted floor, books cradled his arms. Makai\'s eyes ran over the cover, \'The Plane with No Name\'. It wasn\'t really that interesting of a title but he would continue his investigation until he was satisfied. He opened the book and began flipping through the pages.

Auel wasn almost never surprised by things, and generally speaking he didn’t even show all that much emotion. However, this was one exception, but most wouldn’t really realize the privilege they were given as his eyebrows rose significantly when the specter suddenly became quite the solid figure.

The Asian student was completely silent as the other made his way around the cracked and sagging bookshelves. His two toned eyes followed and observed, the gears turning rapidly in his head to try and figure out what it was the other drew his lineage from. Usually he was perfectly fine at figure these things out, but for once he didn’t have a species like this in his vast store of knowledge. His voice kept its sensual tone, seeing as it wasn’t something he could ever get rid of, and asked a question he almost always knew the answer to. “Excuse me, but would you mind my asking what…you are?” The answer was bound to interest him very much.

Makai felt eyes on him which meant the other person was staring at him or was being extremely paranoid this evening. He decided to ignore both options and flipped another page of his book, eyes roaming over the words intently. “Excuse me, but would you mind my asking what…you are?” The flutter of the voice brushing through his ears, had his solemn, green eyes lifting from the pages, curiously. They soon sparked, a laugh shining in them as he watched the other as much as the other had been watching him.

"Not surprised you asked! I am the only one of my kind that inhabits this place." He said with a pause, his bottom lip out in a thoughtful pout before giving a light shrug and steadying his eyes back on the other\'s.

"I am Bergsra. B-E-R-G-S-R-A. Not a human, not a spirit, yet both. A mystery." Makai laughed, it almost being bitter before he smiled real big at the other. "By the way, am I interesting to watch? Don\'t worry. I understand. I know I am extremely attractive." He said jokingly with a over-done flip of his golden-blonde, and sea green hair.

Auel showed nothing but interest as he listened carefully, storing the information in his vast encyclopedia of a mind. He had mixed feelings about not know anything of these “Bergsra”, he was excited (though you couldn’t tell) to be gaining knew knowledge, but at the same time he was disappointed that he didn’t.

The younger’s eyebrows turned down in mock confusion, though it was more for spite then anything else. It was surprising how emotionally involved he was right now, perhaps he just wasn’t completely with it after having his brain stuck in the paper for so long, and he wasn’t even using his skills in unspoken speech! “You are, but attractiveness isn’t why I’m starring at you.” He didn’t want to fuel any oversized egos, which is what this person seemed to have.

He blinked for several moments at the others word before snickering, lips pulling back into a grin. "That so?" Makai finally closed the book that his attention had been drawn from before slowly lifting himself from the floor. He wasn\'t sure how to feel on the thought of being stared at because of his particular species. Uncomfortable? Then again, though he would NEVER admit it, he was nervous when ANYONE stared at him.

Makai liked being alone most of the time and never thought himself as good looking, he just liked boasting his own confidence. He chuckled and shrugged before pulling out a golden ribbon from his pocket and beginning to gather his hair up so it can be in a ponytail. "My name is Makai. I think it is weird for you to know what kind of creature I am without even knowing my name, so there you go."

He tightened the ribbon with a jerk of his hands before his eyes settled on the other\'s face. "What\'s your name or do you want me to call you \'Mr. Student\', Mr. Student?"

The Asian student watched as the blond tresses were gathered and pulled into a neat little ponytail on the back of the other’s head. He didn’t respond to the bergsra’s first two statements, only speaking when it came to the last. “My name is Auel.” He gave a courteous nod to his companion and flipped the cover of his notebook closed on his lap, not letting it distract him for that would be impolite.

He looked up at the one standing above him, and this unfortunately moved his bangs far enough to the side that his incredibly odd iris was shown clearly. Auel was almost always asked about it when seen, if he wasn’t then they were generally too scared to open their mouth.

"Auel?" He tired the name out on his lips, his tongue curling it oddly before flattening once more. Makai pulled a fist thoughtfully up to his chin as he said the name again before he was satisfied that he had said it correctly once more. Makai smiled brightly at the other before catching the sight of startling white-silver that reminded him if Italian, silvered thistle. He took a step forward, then several more that seemed more like gliding then walking.

Makai was instantly drawn to the fascinating orb, getting so close that he was pretty much a nose from Auel\'s face. "Such a pretty eye..." He whispered in fascination before smiling and lifting his fingers to brush more of the other\'s hair from his face to see it more clearly. "You shouldn\'t cover it so!" He said with a light scold, not noticing how very rude he was being by granting himself permission to touch the other.

Then again, Makai had never been one for person space when he is truly fascinated with something.

As Makai came closer, Auel moved back, inching further in the window seat until his back and head were pressed firmly up against the window. Something that would please the other but was just natural to the brunette was the widening of his eyes as the other closed distance between them, starring intently at his silvery orb.

He was frozen like a statue, shivering when a cool hand stroked his cheek and moved the hair from his eyesight. To be honest he was embarrassed but rather flattered. Most people called him a freak for having two different eyes because even the odd drow or demon didn’t have different eyes, at least not like his. “Ah,” He chocked out, “Thank you…” The Asian was so unsure of what to do, for some reason this man just kept flummoxing him.

He continued staring until he noticed the man\'s slight pause in words, he was about to question what was wrong but quickly noticed that himself. Makai was sure this was uncomfortable for the other but he was only able to give Auel a apologetic yet loopy smile before pulling back a bit more, to give the other room. "I really like your eye. Tell me what exactly are you? I think you should satisfy my curiosity since I satisfied yours." He said with a wide, amused grin.

Auel absolutely hated telling people what he was, it was so annoying. They always starred at him with gapping mouths and made him feel awkward and uncomfortable before declaring him some disgusting piece of flesh that shouldn’t have a life in it. He would be a half incubus if he weren’t a twin and be able to pass it off as demon blood if it weren’t for the fact that he only had one-fourth incubi in him, though a potent one-fourth it was.

His expression turned into a hesitant frown, shrinking in on his tall self a bit and deciding whether he should let the other know. Auel got the feeling it would be dragged out of him either way so he might as well get it over with. He spoke quietly, in a low whisper, “I’m part incubi…”

“I’m part incubi…” Hearing this, Makai\'s eyebrows arched high before he stared at him for several more seconds. Soon he was laughing, his hands going to his sides as he tried to muffled down snorts, and laughs. "Incubus?! Oh god....I tried the worse joke possible on you." He couldn\'t help but think that this was way too amusing. Trying to playfully seduce an Incubus, jokingly or no, had never been a good idea in anyone\'s books.

But Makai couldn\'t help but see the delightful humor in such situation. "Ha! So it wasn\'t that my acting was bad, just that I happen to pick the worse target for such a prank! I totally understand now." He gave two decisive nods, deeming that it was not his fault at all that his joke didn\'t work.

He felt his chest constrict in a painful manner, feeling like the child he’d once been when all of the other children had made fun of his brother and he. They’d always had to stick up for themselves, and Nagi had always played jokes such as this on him. The lapse into his past nearly made the situation bring him to tears. Instead he did what he always had to.

The shine in his eyes was lost as he crumbled in upon himself, almost operating himself as a puppet master would his doll. “I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t laugh at my lineage.” His voice was monotone, but still had that alluring drawl in it. “I’ll not blame you, for you did not know. Though, now you do and so I’ll ask you to respect rather then mock me.” It was almost as though a robot were speaking, and there was no way the other could miss how Auel had suddenly gone into a strange state of mind.

Makai laughs settled into silence as he listened to the other, his mouth opening into a wide gape. "Ah-wait, wait! I didn\'t mean it that way! I mean....I was laughing more at myself then you. It\'s not you!" He took several steps forward and gently placed a hand on top of Auel\'s in a soft, apologetic gesture. "I\'m sorry. I guess I shouldn\'t have laughed. I just thought....." He shook his head, deciding it was best not to ramble on. "Forgive me." He said, his gentle hands playing with one of Auel\'s, massaging it and trailing his fingers along it.

"Auel...."

He could hear him and respond, but his mind was still completely trapped back, replaying a scene from long ago. Nagi was there, and he was teasing him just as Makai had, but the results hadn’t quite been the same…

His head tilted downward, starring at the hand being touched, though more like he was seeing through it. His expression was like a blank canvas, but his eyes welled up and a single name left his lips as if whispering to a lost lover, “Nagi…” a single tear dropped from his crystalline orb.

Not a second later his eyes fluttered for a moment at the sound of his name, looking back at the other like he was seeing him for the first time. The teen’s free hand came up and quickly wiped at his watery eyes, making them dry again. “I’m sorry. Please disregard anything I’ve just said.”

He watched Auel in utter fascination, seeing the eyes darken into blank orbs and glisten with the light of tears. Makai was horrified. He didn\'t know if he should be happy or more worried that the other wasn\'t crying because of Makai. Makai let out a breath when the other came to his senses but didn\'t pull back. He watched the other try to wipe away his tears with his free hand. Makai lifted his own, reaching and taking Auel\'s hand from his face and replacing it with his own, wiping away the other\'s tears.

"As much as your tears make your eye even more pretty, I really don\'t like to see you cry." He said wiping until he was sure that the skin under Auel\'s eye was semi-dry.

Auel wouldn’t usually let other’s touch him, but he was so exhausted now that he didn’t have the energy to care. His eyes averted Makai’s, voice quiet and meek as he spoke. “Thank you…” He paused, letting the other wipe his face clean without interrupting. The blond actually made his cheeks turn a slight shade of pink, “I’m sorry you had to see that…sometimes it happens and I can’t control it…” All he wanted to do was curl up next to a nice warm body and go to sleep.

Makai\'s lips firmed into a straight line, frowning at the apology he was given before his lips twisted into something annoyance. Anoooyyyyyying. Makai seemed to become short as he crouched lightly before propelling himself forward, tackling the other to the ground, wrapping his arms around the other\'s neck as he propelled from the chair and soon on the floor. He landed on top of the other with a grunt before lifting his head up to Auel\'s.

"I hope that knocked some sense into you. Don\'t apology for everything you do. I\'m a stranger to you, right? And, from what I grasp from many people I have met, an annoying stranger at that." He said with a firm nod before lifting his hand to finger Auel\'s cheek.

"Don\'t waste your apologies on me, alright? It makes me feel like a jackass."

Auel was simply too shocked to do anything. If he’d been in any other state of mind when this happened, then maybe he would have caught the other before he was jumped and knocked so violently to the ground. He never used so much speech, mostly he communicated using his silent words, but tonight it was just far too much hassle as he stuttered out a confused question, “Wha-what are you doing?” He was answered quickly enough and once again he found his cheek being touched by this strange person. Though it didn’t bother him for once, somehow he’d let down his defenses and simply allowed the other to do what he wished. "Alright..."

Satisfied by the other\'s reply, he relaxed and continued playing his finger along the other\'s cheek, it soon reaching up to to play with Auel\'s hair. He curled the dark strands of hair around his finger before he looked at that silvered-white eye once more. It was hypnotizing. Makai eyes fluttered before he quickly rolled off of Auel. He stared up at the ceiling before sighing and turning his head until he could see the stars. "....Nice night. And the air is so cool too."

He just starred at Makai, unmoving while the other played with his skin and hair, liking the feel of another’s touch again. It was something he never dared let himself have for fear of his incubi blood getting in the way of his clear mind. That had already happened once before, and there was no need for it again.

Auel didn’t move his line of sight from the ceiling until Makai spoke, turning his brunette head to the side fully. This guy was certainly a strange one. He could be sweet and endearing one moment, a complete psycho the next, and then all the way over to weather. It reminded him something small talk, only backwards. “It is. I was going to finish my essay, but I don’t think I can now…”

Post by: DivineDarkness on March 22, 2008, 03:02:43 PM
Makai glanced back at the other in curiosity, pulling his hand behind his head as he turned his body more fully to look at Auel. "Why not?" He questioned before his face suddenly was etched with a light strawberry-shade, as he was quickly embarrassed by what he said. "Ah, it was totally my fault, wasn\'t it? Of course it was." He rubbed his hand over his face in light distress. "I mean....it\'s not every day you get bothered by someone like me. I have even had people say I am annoying to my face. So I know I must grate on your nerves a lot."

He would have went on if he didn\'t catch himself and trailed a finger over his own lips. "I\'ll be quiet. Just don\'t pay attention to me."

Auel listened as his companion rambled on, not stopping him, instead letting him go on, choosing to wait and intervene once he’d finished berating himself. “Not really.” He met the other’s eyes, for once letting both mismatched orbs do this. “I find you rather entertaining actually. I’m enjoying talking to you.” He wasn’t sure why, but he was and there was no reason to avoid telling Makai this.

Auel turned onto his side as well, mirroring the other’s position and momentarily glancing out the window. His eyes drifted even narrower then they already were and his expression turned softer then before. “I don’t want to be alone…”

Post by: DivineDarkness on March 22, 2008, 03:33:24 PM
He watched the other as Auel craned his neck to look out the window, revealing the flesh of his neck. Makai looked at that for a moment before trailing his eyes up to scan over the softened features of the others face. He, in return, smiled and scooted a bit closer before grinning. "I\'m not really used to being around people. I like to stay away from others because people have never encounter a Bergsra before. That\'s why I act like this. I\'ve never been able to learn many customs of people. Like for one, personal space...."He trailed off before he quickly scooted back once more, letting out a sigh.

He quickly resumed his smiling as he watched the other, "But since you don\'t think I am annoying, I guess I won\'t be leaving you alone anytime soon. You have officially been deemed haunted."

The Asian turned his face back to the other when he spoke, paying attention and noticing the distance between them shortening. He gave a little smile, his first in a long time at the other’s comment of haunting him, “Maybe I should have kept myself quiet then.” He teased, which was something as rare as a blue moon these days. “It’s alright.” The brunette gave a little shrug, as much as he could on the floor. “I don’t mind right now, you’ve already touched me dozens of times and I’m just not in the mood to reject physical contact right now.” He averted his eyes, finding a random book on the shelf very interesting right now.

Makai\'s stretched his lips into such a wide smile, he feared his face would split. "Really? You don\'t mind?" He question, already shuffling closer even while he was asking the question. He sat up slightly and spread his arms wide, "Then I shall take what\'s offered!" And with that, he tumbled down on the other, hugging Auel\'s shoulders tightly while he placed his head on the other\'s shoulder as well. He nuzzles his chin more into the crook of Auel\'s neck.

"The thing is it\'s chilly and I am a little bit cold but I like it. Yet I want something  warm too. Like the perfect combination. So...you\'re warm under me and the air is cold on my face." He smiled faintly, not knowing if the other understood his ramblings or not.

He didn’t know what to make of that sudden grin and proximity, but when the other toppled onto him in a hug he found that it was exactly what he wanted. At first, he was a frozen statue again, but when the other finished explaining his reasoning, whether true or not, his arms slowly encircled the other as well, finding the comforting warm of another perfect against him. “Yeah…” He said quietly.

Auel cuddled into his companion, turning himself in closer to the embrace as he closed his eyes. The feeling made him so relaxed he just wanted to drift off to sleep right there and then. No worries or thoughts of papers and missions or family massacres, just the warmth of another and a good nights sleep under a starry sky. Perfect.

He held back a shiver as the arms wrapped around him before he let out a long sigh that turned into a long yawn. Makai\'s eyes fluttered for a moment before they began to lazily go down. He won\'t go to sleep, just close his eyes for a moment. The closing of his eyes was soon followed by a cool breeze caressing his face, making his lids even heavier. The wind played with his hair, making his green bangs tickle his nose and forehead, causing himself to laugh a little bit.

"This....is nice."

The small breeze pasted over his body as well, sending a comforting chill down hi body as a tiny smile found its way onto his lips. His mismatched eyes had been covered long ago and even so they still continued to get heavier and heavier. Auel had always loved the company of another as he slept, but it was a rather odd thing to ask someone with out giving the wrong idea, not to mention he was basically a loner in the institute of learning. “It is…” he whispered happily, but a mere minute after he could feel his body slowly slipping into unconsciousness.  The brunette hadn’t had a good nights sleep in almost years now, maybe that horrible streak would end tonight…

He barely caught the words leave the other\'s mouth as he all his sense were paying attention to the wind brushing along his face soothingly. His body got heavy, and weak as he allowed himself to drift peacefully, his mind following the shift of the breeze. Makai snuggled closed to the body under him instinctively before he was completely gone into the world of depthless dreams.

It was several hours into the pitch of night before he even stirred in the slightest. The sleep was so fitful and entirely wonderful that he almost didn’t want to wake, but the picking feeling that he would get in trouble if he did so won over the clinging sleep.

His two toned eyes opened slowly, sore at first before eventually mumbling and realizing he had a warm, comfortable weight on is chest, also encircled in his arms. Auel looked a little confused for a moment before he remembered everything of the past few hours. The brunette didn’t know what to think of the situation. He hadn’t quite been his usual mask of himself earlier, instead the mask had slipped enough to allow a complete stranger sight into his locked up feelings.

There was a long pause before the Asian moved, lifting a hand up to the back of Makai’s head, laying it there softly, stroking his long blond-green locks in a minor effort to wake the other. “Makai…I can’t stay here, I’ll be punished if I’m found…”

Makai awoke to the feel of fingers playing along the different shades of his tresses, the fingers making him shiver and let out a soft sound from his throat. He loved it. He had never had anyone even touch his hair. It felt better then he thought. He cracked open his eyes, revealing a slit of sea green before he stared around the room in a light daze. He finally caught the other\'s voice which almost made him jump before he let out a sound of understanding.

He squirmed and began to lift himself up until he was straddling Auel, as he lifted his hand to rub at a sleepy eye. "Mhnnn...you\'re right. I wonder what time it is."

Auel didn’t know if he should say something about the way Makai was sitting on him or not. If anyone were to walk in at that moment and see them and the way they were positioned he knew there would be only one conclusion in their mind. Which unfortunately sparked a little of his incubi blood, but it was easily tamable this time.  The spark also caused the thought of how adorable his companion looked when rubbing his tired eyes like that. “I don’t know, but I can’t stay here any longer.” His natural bedroom voice was made even more prominent by the real sleep plaguing it.

After rubbing his eyes so much that he was practically shining them, he looked around in a light daze before the green orb of his eyes widened into ovals. "Oh crap, you\'re right!" He said before quickly scrambling off the other and standing up, hair slightly ruffled and his ponytail now slumped and low. "I can\'t believe I fell asleep...." He whispered softly to himself before shaking his head and was soon zipping across the room to gather the books he had pulled down. "We\'d better get you out of here before you get in trouble. Er....I have no idea where your room is but I know mines is pretty close. It\'s clean because I hardly use it." He rambled on, glancing around to make sure he hadn\'t forgotten anything.

Makai quickly went back over to Auel and looked at him questioningly, "Is that a good idea?"

Auel felt a little strange with the weight on top of him suddenly gone in the blink of an eye, as well as the warmth. But, he had no choice in the mater, standing and walking back to the telescope and papers. The brunette disassembled the equipment and was about to set it back in the precise way he found it when Makai popped up behind his shoulder. He blinked, not quite understanding what the other meant in his tired state. “What do you mean?”  the Asian questioned, setting the telescope back properly.

Makai blinked at the other for a moment before snickering under his breath, "I mean, you can come to my room. That is, if you want." If Makai ended up pushing Auel into sleeping in his room, he knew he would somehow feel like a perverted, old man......Now THAT was a thought. "Unless you want to go back to your room?" He questioned with two slim, blonde eyebrows arching.

Auel was a bit surprised for a moment, but didn’t show it as he picked up his notebook ad closed the window. It took a little longer then normal for him to process the situation, but he came to the conclusion that the other was most likely not insinuating something for once. His two toned eyes caught Makai’s sea green ones and his expression was again a blank canvas. “I don’t mind, no one cares where I go.” It was a sad but true fact. His roommate had refused to stay in a room with him just to humiliate him in front of the other students. It had hurt to find everyone laughing at him, but he had simply pretended no one was there.

He clapped his hands together in silent pleasure before giving a quick nod, quickly trying pull his eyes from the other\'s. "Great! I\'ve never had company before. To tell you the truth, I would have been a bit depressed if you had said no." Makai said with a honest nod before turning his back on the other, pressing the books closer to his chest. "Okay....this is going to be difficult...." Makai slowly tried to recall the way back to his room but walking through halls. He was used to ghosting through things.

"Ah! I remember it is now...." He looked satisfied and almost proud of knowing where he supposedly lived. He looked over his shoulder. "Do you want me to help you carry anything?"

Auel smiled softly as he watched the other clap like a child who’d just been told they could have the cotton candy they’d been starring at. He didn’t comment on Makai being upset if he’d responded negatively, instead the small smile grew just enough to be noticed.

He was patient while the other attempted the remembering of his rooms’ location, finding it a bit amusing that he couldn’t remember and guessing it was due to his ghostly travels. During that short time it occurred to Auel just why he’d been so strangely open with this bergsra, while he wasn’t paying attention they’d somehow become friends. A friend…Auel hadn’t had one of those in a sorrowfully long time.

The teen was shaken from his thoughts when Makai finally voiced his recollection of direction. He shook his tussled brown hair, “I’m fine, lead the way.” The other had more then he did to carry back.
