Old Roleplays / Re: Adrenaline Rush

Jake moved his hand to Effie\'s face, running his fingers through her hair, then, holding her head close to his as he kissed her a little deeper. He was pushing a thin line, and he didn\'t know how much longer she could keep control, but for the moment, he didn\'t care. All he noticed was the feeling of his heart as it sped up to a pounding. He wouldn\'t be surprised if everybody in a three-mile radius could hear him.
Pulling away slowly to lock eyes with her and smile softly. "I guess the evening turned out alright, after all." He said quietly. She really did have beautiful eyes, he found that he couldn\'t look away from them, not that he wanted to, or even tried. But he knew if he tried he wouldn\'t be able to. He felt as thought the evening should never end, and after briefly widening he leaned forward and gently kissed her once more.

Jacob felt Effie tense up from the moment, feeling her squeeze him tightly, she was very strong. He felt his heart pounding against his chest, and slowly he grew more confident in her abilities to control herself, either that or he simply forgot she as a vampire, but in any case he rolled over, causing him to be laying on top of her, though the action caused him to accidentally break the kissing. He started to kiss her shoulder and neck, slowly working his way back to her mouth as his hands gently massaged her back and sides.

Jacob slid his tongue into her mouth as he pulled her tightly against him, causing him to fall back against the sand with her draped across his chest. He wondered briefly if what he was feeling a cause of her vampiric memorization, but coherent thought wasn\'t his strong point at the moment, plus he didn\'t really care if it was or wasn\'t, as long as she didn\'t stop kissing him.
He wasn\'t sure if time had stopped, slowed or was speeding up, not that it really mattered anyways. His hand moved up her back to squeeze her more tightly against him, while the other stayed around her waist. If he was capable of thinking straight he\'d have known that this was probably a bad idea, but he wasn\'t, and to be honest, even if he was, he wouldn\'t care. The fact that she was a vampire was so unimportant compared to the moment that it isn\'t even really worth mentioning, so, he just continued to hold her tightly and kissed her deeply.

Jacob\'s smile grew; he had gotten the response he was looking for. "That wasn\'t too bad, was it?" He asked, leaning forward again, though not quite touching. He made sure he didn\'t break eye contact, allowing himself to fall into her gaze as his heartbeat started to speed up.
About a century later, or was it less than a second? He wasn\'t sure, he just knew that he forced himself to break away from her mesmerizing stare to press his lips against hers once more, this time a lot less gently, and slowly slid his arms around her waist.

Jake listened to Effie speak, locking her eyes with his, hoping to keep her from looking around, and seeing that the last couple had moved farther down the beach to be alone, leaving no witnesses to notice if she decided to take his life. It was way too late to go back, and too late to regret. So, instead, he enjoyed the moment, soaking it in as he memorized every aspect of her face. After all, she would never hurt him. Right?
"Yes, I understand completely. The City, after first glance, has a certain magic in itself. That\'s probably why it attracts all the Supernaturals." He said softly, tilting head slightly again. The smirk on his face showed that he wasn\'t really interested in talking, and he gave her a few moments to protest before leaning in to give her a soft kiss. Just one, and it was short. He pulled back to see her reaction, hoping it was blood-lust eyes and a painful death, but not really believing that it could be. She look too harmless... Aster all, she would never hurt him. Right? Hopefully.

((OOC: Sorry it took so long, hiking trip))
Jacob\'s smile grew comfortably soft and he listened to her question. Six years, isn\'t that how long she\'s been a vampire? That would me she was turned in the first year. He thought with a large amount of pity for her. He wanted to embrace her in a tight, comforting hug but knew that it would be a bad idea. Very bad.
"Only a few months, actually. I lived half way across the country before here. It is so much different than home, but, I\'m content." He said, noticing the people leaving, this was about to get either really, really bad or really, really good. "Are you okay?" He asked, meaning with the lack of people. His voice was soft, and when he looked around again he noticed how close they were and wondered whether or not he should move away. He\'d just wait and see, after all, what\'s life without a little danger?

Jacob smiled softly, even though he knew she couldn\'t see him do so, sometimes it was just impossible not to smile. "It certainly reaches in the top five." He said before, slowly, raising his arm to gently place around her shoulder, he was very careful not to surprise or alarm her.
"How long have you been in the City?" He asked, to keep the conversation going. Also, he just liked listening to her talk. Maybe it was just the night, the moment, but she seemed to almost have a magical tone to her voice. In any case, he simply liked it.

Jake\'s closed his for a moment, taking in the moment, and the smell of Effie sitting next to him. He hadn\'t had an evening like this since high school, and that even had ended up in a fight. Hopefully this time it would work out better.
Effie wasn\'t the only one being tested against temptation, Jacob wanted to pull her close, but he knew if he did, chances were, she\'d lose control. So, eventually, he was forced to open his eyes once more, and follow her gaze to the skies.
"Absolutely beautiful." He noted aloud, pulling in one knee and wrapping his arm around it, so that he could sit up straight easily. He gave her hand a small squeeze. "Don\'t you agree, Effie?" He continued as he rested the side of his head on his upheld knee.

Jacob stopped and smiled. He looked down at her, she really was quite beautiful. "I would love to go back." He replied softly. Slowly, he led the way back to the beach. He made sure he didn\'t get too close, but he didn\'t really look to a place where there was a lot of people. Not that he purposely headed towards a deserted place, and if she changed the direction, it was up to her.
After a couple of minutes walking, he stopped and looked around them. There were a couple of people, but nobody within hearing distance. He turned back to Effie and smiled again. "Care to sit?" He asked, gesturing to the sand.

Jake nodded once and smiled comfortingly. "Than, the park it is." He stated and reached over to once again take hold of her hand before turning around and heading back.
"But, we might return soon." He added more casually and looked for another place to site where they wouldn\'t be disturbed, but nor too alone, hopefully to keep her temptation at bay.

((OOC: Sorry it took so long to reply... I thought I already had ><))
Jacob offered a soft smile. "It\'s alright, I shouldn\'t have done that. I won\'t do it again." Why had he done it? Why had he been so stupid? Jake doubted he would ever be able to answer those questions, nor did he think it really mattered. He just hoped that he hadn\'t completely ruined the evening with his stupidity.
"I\'m afraid that answer depends entirely on you." He replied to her second statement. "I don\'t want to tempt you again, so I\'m afraid you must decide. If you believe it wouldn\'t tempt your vampiric nature, than why not? But if you don\'t trust it, than I don\'t want to tempt again. I\'m sure you don\'t wish to drain me of all life, and I don\'t really desire to die just yet." He gave a small shrug. "If not the beach than I\'d be happy to return to the park, ride another thriller and spend the rest of the evening with you in public, where you most probably won\'t be tempted." He added, not wanting to ruin the entire evening.

Antmur\'ss felt a little tired of the Lich\'s self-pity, if he had had that kind of power would have killed them all and stole he book already. Luckily for them the Lich didn\'t think like Antmur\'ss and decided to try to ask for the book before killing them all.
Antmur\'ssdrol clenched his teeth in fustration as he was forced to agree with Kaid. He had been rash in his thinking, not only would destroying the be dangerous, but an awful waste. If a Lich wanted the book than obviously it had to be powerful, thus useful. Why the hell would be want to destroy it? He was beginning to think he should have this apprenticeship.
"I have made not attempt on your life." He responded to the other apprentice. "I have also said nothing of my thought on your condition. I merely stated that it would be better to destroy the book than return it to the Lich. It\'s easier to deal with a betrayal from a student than a Lich who intends to harm us." He continued calmly, making sure he didn\'t change his voice level, though he was seriously annoyed with her. She wanted to return the book and was arguing for the enemy, what next?

Jake felt her body tense up and slowly lowered it his arm with a small, uncomfortably laugh. "Sorry." He muttered quietly and shoved his hands in his pockets. What was he thinking? But Jacob didn\'t know the answer, he was just so used to not worrying about anything, or anyone hurting him. I mean, he was practically a giant, but this small girl could snap him in half; it was just unbelievable.
He looked towards the ocean, smelling the beautiful sea-smell that always seemed to intoxicate him. "If you wish we can head back." He said soberly. He had been stupid to come here in the first place, but she was so nice. How could she hurt him? He knew the answer this time.

Jake smiled gently. "Of course you\'re terrifying!" He protested lightly. "Any being as beautiful as you are is more terrifying than the eldest vampire." He continued with a humorous twinkle in his eyes and his voice.
We\'ll see. He made sure he didn\'t say so aloud, though. If she said she wouldn\'t, they he wouldn\'t contradict her out in the open, but he had to admit, he was no longer afraid of it, nor did he really think she would.
He looked around the quiet beach, bringing in the moment, as he always did. Then, being the flirt he was, he removed his hand from hers to put it around her shoulder, causing them to walking closer together. He was walking on very thin ice, and he knew it, but hey, if he was going to die tonight, might as well enjoy it as much as he could. No sense fearing the future.

Jake laughed at her question. What a silly question to ask somebody in his position. Happy, yes, scared, no, fine... How the hell should he know? He wouldn\'t know that for a while yet. By then, if he wasn\'t fine, it wouldn\'t make any damn difference; he\'d still end up dinner.
"I guess that depends on your term of \'fine.\'" He said after a moment. "If you asking if I\'m scared, the answer is no. Like I said, I\'ve known vampires for a long time, you\'ve long since stopped scaring me. If you\'re asking whether or not I\'m nervous, the answer is yes, but on a great many different levels." He smiled again. "If you asking whether or not I\'m having regrets about some recent decisions, the answer is no."
His smile grew a little as he gave her hand a squeeze, not allowing her to finish letting go and pulled her a little closer. Not enough to be disrespectful in any way, but just to prove that he was scared of her. He wasn\'t.
