Temple of Talon
« on: January 27, 2006, 12:46:23 AM »
Outer Structure
The temple is constructed in large stone gray brickwork and darkwood planks, with carefully worked joinery as skilled craftsmen performed to their best in order to please the god that this temple was designed for. The God of Death would not be a smart one to upset.

The building has three floors in total, the ground floor being public access to worshippers, the first is where the zealots and acolytes of Talon spend most of their waking hours, and the topmost floor is where the saintly patrons rest.

The Foyer
Upon walking through the large wooden doors into the temple, the floor is lain with marble tiles, many swarthy hangings of red cloth decorate and separate the foyer from the shrine itself, and tapestries of battles adorn the walls.

The Prayer Room
Large wooden benches are lain to the left and right, facing an altar upon which a live hooded falcon sits. This bird is the reverant holy symbol of the God of Death.

The Followers of Talon
Robed in dark grey with a dark sash of red across the chest and around the waist, these clergy hide their faces away from the public eye, their identities a well protected secret. They perform the last rites upon the dying as well as hold the executioners blade should someone be so judged. As a result, they have a fearful respect of all inhabitants in the castle.  The highest ranking follower is called the High Chaplain.
