Full Name and Title: James (‘Jim’) Ashleigh, Commoner

Age: 21

Birthday: November 30th

Occupation: Tailor

Religion: Adora, though he understands the balance between life and death, so he has a deep respect for Talon

Hair: A very dark brown in colour, mostly straight, a long enough to go over his ears and about to his eyes. He sometimes will keep it in a little rattail.

Eyes: A strikingly pale grey in colour, though it’s really not much of conversation starter. His lashes are fairly dark and thick, as well.

Nose: Long, thin, and pointed at the end. Otherwise straight and narrow.

Lips: Quite full for a boy, though a very pale pink in colour to save him from looking like a girl.

Skin Color: Pale, though quick to tan in the summer. He works indoors for most seasons, however, so he remains quite fair. He has outgrown any pimples and never develops freckles.

Height: 5’9

Weight: 140lb

Physical Attractiveness: Jim sometimes could be called ‘pretty’, if you’re into that sort of thing. He doesn’t have much of the manly attractiveness of his brother, so he relies mostly on his personality to win friends and lovers. His face, with the straight nose, thick eyelashes, and full lips, could make him attractive to some of the opposite sex. His body is quite lean and thin, with little to no muscle or fat, so one wouldn’t really say he has a particularly attractive body, but at least he’s not terribly fat or hairy. All in all, he’s something that maybe a pretty girl would settle with if she could not find a more heroic, manly, handsome man to be with.

Clothing: Simple commoner’s clothing. Linen tunics and shirts in the summer, and thicker wool in the winter, all very plain colours. Usually he will wear un-dyed leather pants and boiled leather boots in all seasons. His cloak is a fine grey one that his father made, and he owns an assortment of other finer made outfits that he saves for special occasions.

Mother: Lily Ashleigh was the third daughter of a farmer. The family was very large, made up of 9 kids and the parents. They all worked on their father’s fruit farm for their whole lives. Lily’s marriage was arranged by her parents and she moved in with her husband closer to the keep.

Father: Robert Ashleigh was born in the city at Oberon Castle. His mother died in childbirth leaving his father to raise him and two other boys. Robert and his brothers aided their father in his modest little tailoring business until the arranged marriage between Robert and Lily. They moved in with Robert’s father and carried on the work of tailoring and weaving.

Siblings: Jim has two siblings. Heath is a 19 year old woman with a shy but kindly disposition. Pate is 23 and married to a young woman named Jallysah whom now lives with the Ashleighs. Pate is the tallest of the Ashleighs, very strong, stubborn, and a born leader.

Childhood: Most of Jim’s childhood was fairly typical. He started work around the age of 8, working for his father and with his elder brother. He went to school with his brother when he was 10, and helped his sister with her studies when she came along. Though the family was fairly functional, Jim was a bit different in his manners. He never really compared to his older, stronger, handsomer brother in the eyes of family and friends, and he was quick to note this. Jim ran away from home a few times in his early teens, though his dear sister always convinced him to come back. In these times, Heath was his best friend and Pate his enemy, though his brother’s love for him was no less than his sister’s.

When Jim was 17, the sickness hit his family. He was sent to his grandparent’s farm until the wave of illness had passed, and their dear parent’s were dead. The three siblings inherited the house and tailor shop, though they would move again in two years to a house and storefront not far from the marketplace in the outer keep.

Education: Almost immediately after he began work, Jim’s grandfather started to teach him his numbers and letters, determined for Jim to be the bookkeeper of the family tailor shop. He also went to school for much of his childhood, and excelled in his studies. He advanced much farther than his siblings, and is fully literate now.

Natural Talents: Jim is an exceptional tailor, though he has some other talents his family doesn’t know about. His quick mind gave him a great amount of hand-eye co-ordination. His aim is impeccable, whether it is with a rock, a bow, or a knife. He has also learned how to pick locks very well and even figured out the subtleties of picking pockets, though he never really needed to do it for a living.

Hobbies: Sewing, drinking, archery, reading, writing.

Personality: Jim isn’t so normal as the rest of his quaint little family. His complex stems from his belief that all those around him thought him to be inferior, especially compared to his brothers. Even though he was praised for his handiwork and his intelligence, his paranoia wouldn’t let him alone. To this day he has a paranoid that no one appreciates or loves him, and therefore everyone is his enemy. He isn’t always vocal about this, however. He manages to overcome his anxiety to live his life. To strangers he is generally friendly, though he can sometimes be quite sarcastic in the most inappropriate of situations. He isn’t necessarily always a good Samaritan, but he will sometimes help those most desperately in need. For the most part, though, he will avoid new relationships and has very few friends. To those he actually is friends with, he will not refrain from being completely sarcastic, crude, witty and loving. He is very close to those he is close with, and very distant to everyone else.

Recently, Jim’s personality has been deteriorating. Though his feelings of paranoia seemed their worse when he was a teen, a recent turn of events has made things considerably worse in his head.

More explanations to come.
