Ichabod tried to ignore the pain which had shot through his hand when Lazarus squeezed it, putting it down to a simple mistake rather than annoyance with him...although he did decided that further comments of that nature to Lazarus might be best avoided.
He cocked an eyebrow as Lazarus lead him through the garden of his home, this was definitely not the kind of place Ichabod would expect Lazarus to be living, it looked like no one had lived here for ages. Still, that might just have been a trick on the side of Lazarus to stop unwelcome visitors from coming knocking. The whole aura of the building may have been somewhat enhanced by the dark night as well, giving it a decidedly spooky feel.
He watched the vampire try the door, noticing his lack of a key, then flinched a little at the load cracking noise. Just a stiff door, Ichabod thought, trying to convince himself that they weren\'t breaking into someone\'s house. The smell that hit him as soon as they entered the hallway didn\'t help convince him otherwise and he glanced back at Lazarus as he wandered into the corridor, giving a half smile at his comment, where else were the bedrooms going to be in a place like this? The basement? Stupid question really, it was probably darker down there, safer for the vampire during the day...if of course Lazarus had ever been in here before.
"This place is pretty cool," Ichabod said, looking around at their surroundings, then glancing back at Lazarus with a wider smile, "So is upstairs where we\'re headed?" he asked, taking a couple of steps backwards towards the stairs, keeping his eyes on Lazarus as he kept moving, watching the vampire in what was supposed to be his home. He glanced down at the floor as the wooden boards, mostly hidden by the rug, creaked under his feet and he spent a moment wondering exactly when this house had been built. He didn\'t really mind that this wasn\'t Lazarus\' real home, it was an interesting house, and as long as they weren\'t going to be disturbed Ichabod didn\'t care. He just wanted Lazarus to be happy with him, and if he wanted to be here then the human was fine with it.
