INCUBUS / SUCCUBUS

Origins
Incubi first started appearing in ancient history, many many thousands of years ago. The Incubus and Succubus are the two parts of the different sexes.  Incubus is male and Succubus is female.

Appearance
There are two types of Incubus/Succubus demons.  One is the Corporeal form and the other Non-Corporeal, surviving only in the Dreamscape (the dimension of dreams).

Non-Corporeal
Incubi/Succubi take on whatever appearance their victim fantasises about, using their victim\'s imaginations to seduce.  Varying skin and hair colors are applicable. Due to the nature of humankind pursuing beauty, they tend to always be attractive.  Sometimes they will have extra appendages such as wings, horns, tails, as whatever their victim finds seductive is possible.

Corporeal
All Incubi/Succubi begin as non-corporeal beings.  With enough life-essence (or sexual-essence) provided to them by their victims within their dreams, the Incubi/Succubi can then manifest their personalities into their victims, eventually taking over their bodies in an irreversible process of possession.  Essentially, should the Incubus/Succubus successfully seduce their victims many times over, they can then take over their bodies, \'killing\' the soul within.  The quantity of times the Incubus/Succubus needs to feed life/sexual essence before turning Corporeal depends on the stamina of their victim, therefore vampires and demons will always be MUCH harder to possess.

The victims they are able to possess are any human-based species, including the undead (vampires) and werewolves.  Note that an Incubi/Succubi possessing the body of a werewolf does NOT break the blood curse. Half-demons mixed with human blood can also be possessed.

People who can sense energies and mental domination will be able to sense the sexuality of these creatures and have the will to deny their desire.  Should a person not know the seductive qualities of the Incubus/Succubus (whether half-breed or not), they will be enslaved by their attraction to them.

Characteristics
By their very nature, Incubi/Succubi are extremely sexual. They will do everything possible to seduce their target and there are quite a lot of romantic stories about these creatures. They lust and will pursue their focus until the ends of the earth, though once they get a taste of them and finally have their pursuit willing, they usually lose interest.  Thrill of the chase is very important to them - and while consummation is necessary, it is not what makes them feel 'alive'.

Generally well tempered, perhaps a bit too forward in their speech. They are reclusive when not pursuing someone.

Powers
When non-corporeal they can fly/levitate and are capable of amazing psychic forces limited only by the imagination.

Corporeal beings have enhanced night vision when they take over their human victim\'s body and are beguiling and often hypnotically charming.  When meditating, they can astrally project their minds to visit locations, but cannot interact with anything they see (Spiritual Travel).

Any other psychic powers the Incubi/Succubi had before possession will no longer be accessible.  Other than charm, astral projection and night vision, whatever powers the being they possess can access is all they will be able to access.  As a result, the vampiric undead are a common form of pursuit should the Incubus/Succubus wish to gain a physical presence AND keep many powers.

Lifestyle
Corporeal:
They eat, sleep and do as anyone else. The main thing that stands out is that they are never sexually satiated, they\'re always ready for sex.

Non-corporeal:

Within the dreamscape they go to all the trouble of dates, seduction, begging or doing whatever it takes (short of rape) to get their prey into their grasp. They feed upon sexual energy through the sexual act. Usually completely draining the other of their energy, leaving them breathless and extremely weak.

Lifespan
Corporeal:
Once the corporeal Incubus/Succubus possess a being, they exist corporeally until their physical selves die or are destroyed.  When this happens, they turn back into non-corporeal beings, to begin again.

Non-Corporeal:
The only way to destroy an Incubus/Succubus is to kill them within the dreams in which they appear.  Considerable foes, this is a difficult task, but because of their intimate nature, they do get close to those who might wish to do them harm.

Vampire Interaction
Vampires can only drink from corporeal Incubus/Succubus and their blood is intensely addictive. The response from the drinking is always erotic and the vampire will get feedback of that eroticism while they take in the creature's blood. The vampire will become infatuated with the creature they have drunk from.
