He was inexperienced with attraction, but he wasn\'t stupid, and when Dominic James Calder made his little declaration, he knew that he was going to be given his discretion. To be known for igniting someone - whether accidentally or not - was a pretty nifty thing to have on one\'s reputation, let alone the fact that it gave him an excuse to wander into a Master\'s private chambers and... well... his imagination was put on a leash, in order to save himself further embarrassment.
The smile offered him had been almost as imperceptible as the choked sound, though Ren\'s focus was on Calder, and so he perceived it, his eyes shining and a smile curling his lips (a little more obviously) in response, while his heart continued to hammer in his chest. He felt like jumping around the classroom for glee, but instead thanked his professor politely and left the room, if only to make a strange little noise that was supposed to be a substitute for a shout of excitement, and sprinted for his next classroom, willing the day to be over quickly, so it could hurry up and be that night.
