Kysis was about to speak the price when the door swung open, his eyes darting immediately behind Dag, searching for a familiar face. He was hoping it was someone else, but apparently it was a man related to Dag, from appearances. In fact the man looked like the description Ryanna had given him. So, this was the brother, Magnus, who was interested in strange weapons. Kysis was all too glad to ignore Dag now that he was given a legit reason to.
A little bow was given, not deep at all, more like a nod with a slight bending. He also took the hand for a firm shake, introducing himself (which he had not taken the time to do with Dag. It had been all fight, no talk with him), "Kysis Liari. Your brother was just giving me an ear-full." Kysis shot a look at said brother just to make sure that sword was not moving any. So far it had not, so it was still safe for a few verbal jabs.
"Oh yes! The weapons!" Ryanna jumped out of her scowl, putting on her usual impish grin and running to the back wall, pointing at the flail with its four foot chain and arc-blade end. "This was missing the last time you were in! It is actually fully functional. For the exhibition at our opening, Lord Liari demonstrated with it. It was soooooo cool!" Ryanna jumped a little, diving beneath the counter to pull out a large spear and a scimitar, one in each hand. "We haven\'t put them out yet, but I figured you\'d be back to see them soon enough."
The scimitar was put on the counter, Ryanna walking around it to show the spear, though not let him touch it. Most people were not allowed to touch the weapons unless they put their money down on the counter first. It was a safety thing. However, with Kysis around, it did not matter all that much. He could probably take care of whatever decided to come through that door (except for Rico. Now that Kysis would not be able to deal with).
Kysis turned his attention back to Dag at this point, deciding he might as well give the price, since he had asked. "10 Gold. It is more expensive than the local forge, but better steel." Plus it was the best sword in the shop, if one did not include the one hung at Kysis\' side. The longsword in Dag\'s hands was one of the later pieces made by Ryos, yes, but still. The sword that had been his coronation gift was the best piece of steel Kysis had ever seen.
And it wasn\'t a bad price. The Ottomans charged a lot more for their weapons, and they were only half the quality and about 2% of the selection. Of course, what would northerners know about the Ottomans? Kysis decided not to even bring it up.
