Writmo felt her claws push into the girl\'s fleshy wing with satisfaction. SHe growled with pleasure as the Akari cried out. The beast tried to maneuver her to her back, but the wolf scrambled away a few metres. "Enough," she hissed, "I haven\'t the time for this." She truned to walk away, but stopped at the sound of a wolf\'s call in the distance.

"Don\'t you dare run from me." The Akari growled menacingly. She hated leaving things unfinished. Her wing seeped dark crimson and she had half the mind to rip out the wolf\'s throat. However, she could feel her injuries taking a toll on her. It would be near impossible to fly for long distances, much to Storm\'s frustration.

Where the fuck is Damien?! Storm glowered angrily, glaring up at the sky as though he would descend from the moonlight any moment. Sharp pain shot up her arm and throughout her entire left wing. She groaned. What got her into this fight in the first place? The girl cursed herself for her emotional instability.

The howl in the distance worried her. If there were other wolves out there, the Akari was sure she would be torn to pieces. She shuddered, wondering just how much strength it would take to fly (or climb) up to the top of the lighthouse and away from the danger.

Just like last time... She mused.

"Run, pfft. From you?" The wolf scowled at the Akari. She howled back to the wolf in the distance. She could smell him now and she knew who it was. She laughed aloud. She smelled angst in the air. She looked at the girl, obviously in pain, before her and winced as pain of her own shot through her back. She felt the other wolf approach as she lay down, unafraid of the Akari. She, the girl, seemed beaten.

Scorpid approached with caution. He padded over to his lover and whined. She shook her head and whimpered with pain again. He growled at the beast, noticing it was still hostile, but in pain as well. He nudged Writmo to her feet and rubbed his face against hers. "Alright?" he whispered nervously.

"I\'m fine, or will be," she smirked in her wolfish and laughed a bit. "Alright, Akari. Is this finished? Or shall your flesh be torn again?" she barked turning to the beast.

The Akari bristled defensively as the other wolf approached. She could hold her own against one but not two. Swallowing her pride, the girl admitted to herself that she was too wounded to take on both of them. Despite the utter disrespect and taunting coming again from the female wolf, Storm could do nothing to fight back.

She was well aware of her own capabilities. If she so desired, she could tap into the needed energy to rip out that dog\'s throat. It would be pointless to waste such energy on a fight started out of a few misplaced words and damaged pride. Storm knew it wasn\'t worth it, the throbbing pain in her wing and arm were shouting that loud and clear.

The Akari spat in the direction of the wolf, hissing inhumanly and muttering a string of curses before backing up against the safety of the lighthouse. If need be, she could and would scale the tower and rest on the roof. Truce for now, Storm thought angrily.

"If you ever cross me again, filthy wolf," she threatened through her clenched jaw, vast amounts of hatred unheard of thrashing about in the pit of her stomach.

Writmo didn\'t flinch as the Akari spit at her. She growled, low and menacingly, and bared her teeth. "Be gone, you dishevled wretch, I don\'t have the energy to play around with Akari. If our paths cross agin, one of us, that is you, won\'t cross anyone\'s path again." With that, she turned swiftly and barked to Scorpid, who was crouched low, ready to fight. She gave him a dirty look and shook her head.

Scorpid rose reluctantly. He cocked his head to one side at the human like girl before him. Akari, he thought, interesting. He moved toward Writmo and looked back over his shoulder, trying to catch the Akari\'s eye. He was confused about this creature and why she was so angry.

The Akari watched the two warily as they left. New revelation: wolves are fucking bad. Plus she was having some sort of reaction to the saliva in her arm, which was now turning a sickly shade. Storm glared at their disappearing forms, retreating into the forest as though nothing happened. Somewhere in the back of her mind, a familiar memory with a motherly voice: "pride comes before the downfall".

With a groan, Storm dug into her energy reserve. Her wounds burned like fire as she half flew, half climbed up the side of the lighthouse. After what seemed like hours, the Akari collapsed on the roof for the second time since she found the accursed place. She glanced glumly at the moon.

"Fuck you," she muttered angrily, to no one in particular, as she reverted back to her human form, frail and bleeding. Using a small amount of energy, Storm sealed the gaping flesh in her arm. The infection, however, remained, creating a sickly shade of green in her skin and causing her weariness to nearly double.

\'Stupid unreliable vampire...\' She didn\'t have the desire to heal up the wounds elsewhere on her body. The girl let sank into herself, waiting still.

God, she hated waiting.

Writmo\'s sensitive ears twitch at the Akari\'s words. She laughed and kept walking. Her first victory, though a shallow one, a victory none the less. She nuzzled Scorpid and moved on into the darkness of the night.
