There are always rumours about the state of the throne.
Specifically:
1. There is not enough coinage in the royal coffers to pay for the city guard wages (ongoing, persistent, false)
2. King Mayhew is not interested sexually in his wife (current, false) and will therefore not provide an heir to the throne (current, false).
3. The young Queen Rochelle is going to return to her home country because of her husband\'s lack of interest in her (current, false)
 4. The King\'s mother and twin sisters have left Oberon to go to their summer home (current, true)
5. The former Captain of the Guard, Wilson, has become an advisor to the King (current, true)

There are always rumours about who is sleeping with who.
Specifically:
1. Lord Dagger and Captain Wilson have had a longstanding affair (ongoing, persistent, true but never confirmed)
2. Lord Dagger and Captain Wilson haven\'t ended their affair despite Wilson\'s marriage and baby (current, semi-true) contrary to this rumour, is that they HAVE ended the affair (current, false)
3. Lord Dagger is the father of Captain Wilson\'s baby (ongoing, persistent among the nobles, false)
4. Lord Dagger married his cook because she fell pregnant with his baby (ongoing, persistent among the nobles, false)
 

Commoners

The rumours are usually local and mostly about crime or religion.
1. A foreign couple has been getting unsuspecting men drunk before robbing them blind, especially nobles at inns or walking home in the evening (ongoing, unconfirmed)

The rumours are usually local and mostly bad news about the state of other people\'s farms.
