ZODIACS

Introduction to the Species
Unsurprisingly, there are twelve forms of Zodiac beings. These creatures have been foretold by many prophecies (within their own culture) that they are a sub-race of humankind destined to save their master race (humankind) from spiritual destruction.
 
Rarity
They are extremely rare. In fact, there are never more than exactly 144 Zodiacs in the world at any one time (12 beings per 12 signs). It is not uncommon for them to draw together in the same locations due to their spiritual nature so it is possible to see more than one Zodiac in a city.
 
Mortaility and Aging
When a Zodiac is being born, one of the 144 will fall ill and die, to complete the circle of life and death that the Zodiacs represent. They grow normally as humans will, but their appearance will remain stagnant once they broach their mid-twenties. There has been a record of a Zodiac living for 500 years, but most of them don\'t quite make 200, due to the birth rate. It is not necessarily the parents of the child that dies - more often than not, it is another in the 144.
 
The Twelve Signs
They take it as complimentary that humankind would have such an interest in the Zodiac as an astrological wonder. They are flattered that humankind look for similarities in themselves within a species who believes they have been borne from humankind itself. In other words, Zodiacs believe that human beings are their roots, especially when Zodiacs are so \'universally connected to every one and every thing". Most of them are Chaos Theorists to some degree.

Personality Characteristics
Even though all Zodiacs share the same traits, one positive and one negative trait will always appear more dominantly over others. This can vary depending on the Zodiac in question.  Please identify which is the dominant trait on your character sheet.
 
Appearance
All of them appear as human, though some have powers which allow them to transform. They have an ethereal beauty that most humankind would seek to call \'angelic\' or \'heavenly\'. They are far from angels however, they simply have a great deal of charisma and presence, that draws the human eye to them. In a shallow world where beauty is everything, the Zodiacs seem to have everything.

Vampire Interaction
Vampires can drink from them and regardless of what type of sign they are, their flavour profiles are identical. A refined palate will identify that they are not human; their blood has an aftertaste that lingers, difficult to define but reminiscent of Faekind.

ARIES
1 : The Ram : Fire Sign : Planet - MARS : Colour - RED
Aries is the 1st sign of the Zodiac and is therefore considered the Ruling Dozen of the Zodiac 144.

The twelve individuals of Aries are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Positive:Assertive, Courageous, Independant, Intelligent, Straight Forward
Negative: Arrogant, Impatient, Fiery, Temperamental, Highly Competitive

Human Appearance
Aries have a strong, athletic, well-proportioned body. They also have an elongated face with a well-rounded and broad forehead. The chin is also prominent. Many females will have definitive jaw lines and accentuated cheekbones. Males will possess a dominant Adam\'s apple. Both will have strong, thick eyebrows as well as clear and penetrating eyes. There is a ruddy cast to the complexion and the noses of both sexes are high-bridged and straight.

Powers
o Can create fire storms at will, but cannot control them once created.
o Can transform into what is known as \'The Ram-God\'. With the head and lower legs of a ram and torso of a man. This transformation of the Zodiac Aries is often confused with a Satyr, but shouldn\'t be mistaken so.

Interesting Things
o They always look fantastic in red and always have it on them in some form.
o Jewellery will strongly feature diamonds.
o They prefer hot arid climates (such as desert cities, like Vegas) to cold and wet climates (anywhere that snows), but they will still visit the latter.

TAURUS
2 : The Bull : Earth Sign : Planet - VENUS : Colour - GREEN

The twelve individuals of Taurus are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Positive:Responsible, Loyal, Patient, Affectionate, Artistic
Negative:Stubborn, Indulgent, Insecure, Possessive, Rigid

Human Appearance
Physically, Taurus will have a full, square or long face, small ears, a fairly large, rounded and dimpled chin, sometimes prominent foreheads, a short or pointy and turned-up nose, large and expressive eyes, glowing, opaque and light skin, full and well-shaped lips, small and even teeth, and thick, often curly hair. They are usually above average height and the women often possess a voluptuous figure, a swan neck and Grecian nose.

oOnly the seed or the egg of a Taurus can create another Zodiac
o Can transform into a Minotaur. With the head of a bull and body of a human.

GEMINI
3 : The Twins : Air Sign : Planet - MERCURY : Colour - YELLOW
The twelve individuals of Gemini are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Positive:Versatile, Inquisitive, Articulate/Chatty, Playful, Adventurous
Negative:Dualistic, Rash, Superficial, Self-Interested, Restless, Indecisive

Human Appearance
Gemini have a straight and narrow nose, long limbs, slim, petite, of average or below average height, a well-proportioned chin, high cheekbones, pointy features, a wide mouth, a roundish head and long fingers.

Powers
oCan create a clone of themselves to spy on or trick others (only 1 clone at a time, 1 clone per day, lasts a couple of hours and the clone is unable to speak - communication between Gemini and their clone is telepathic)
oCan summon strong winds but not light breezes.

CANCER
4 : The Crab : Water Sign : Planet - MOON : Colour - BLUEGREEN
The twelve individuals of Cancer are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Positive:Protective, Sensitive, Compassionate, Charming, Nurturing
Negative:Touchy, Clingy, Over-protective, Moody, Secretive

Human Appearance
Cancers are an above average height and have an athletic body and long legs. This athletic build allows for strong, confident people. Cancers are seen as usually having brown hair, a well-defined face, a tan complexion, a prominent forehead, penetrating eyes of green or blue, a shortish nose that curves straight or slightly up, and a full mouth with full lips and a wide smile, as well as long arms and fingers resting on defined hands. In essence, the upper body is proportionally well balanced in proportion to the lower, which may make for a rather smooth-going, attractive athletic appearance

o Possess an iron-grip; a hold of such supernatural strength that it rivals that of an Ancient Vampire.
oCan summon a torrent of water, either from the sky in the form of torrential rain or from the sea with torrential waves.

LEO
5 : The Lion : Fire Sign : Planet - SUN : Colour - Orange
The twelve individuals of Leo are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Positive:Proud, Dramatic, Dignified, Ambitious, Noble, Magnetic
Negative:Bossy, Boastful, Jealous, Promiscuous, Egotistical, Arrogant

Human Appearance
Leos are tall with thin waists, trim athletic legs, strong physical features and well-defined appendages (hands, feet, etc.) They are said to keep their head held high and look down their noses at others, and have a mane of thick hair.

Powers
o Have supernatural stamina - for example, they can sprint for miles without getting out of breath.
o Can summon a pillar of flame in a chosen destination.  This very controlled fire will burst out of the ground at Leo\'s will.

6 : The Virgin : Earth Sign : Planet - MERCURY : Colour - Navy Blue
The twelve individuals of Virgo are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.
Positive:Practical, Industrious, Clean, Methodical, Intelligent
Negative:Fussy, Pedantic, Petty, Over-Critical, Insular

Human Appearance
Virgo have a graceful figure, a roundish head, delicately-shaped lips, large and clear eyes, small, symmetrical, and refined features, a high forehead, long arms and thin eyebrows. Also, they are above average height.  Virgos often have a long, beautiful neck and can be careless with fingernails.

oCan make flora grow at will and gardens and parks respond positively to their attention.
oThey have a purifying power.  They can vanquish impurities and poisons from bodies of water or people and cure the diseased.

LIBRA
7 : The Scales : Air Sign : Planet - VENUS : Colour - Pink
The twelve individuals of Libra are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Due to their power (see below), the Librans are considered the Judge and Jury of the Zodiacs.

Positive:Open-minded, Just,  Diplomatic, Refined, Idealistic, Sociable
Negative:Rationalize, Easily Deterred, Indecisive, Procrastinating, Lazy

Human Appearance
Librans have a graceful figure, a charming appearance, refined features, a high forehead, and a \'trademark\' dimple. They are considered not as physically attractive as the other signs however are a great deal more charismatic.

oCan summon light breezes and warm winds.
oThey can see the truth in all things, like an in-built lie-detector, they have an unfailiing ability to know truth in both black and white and every single shade of grey.

SCORPIO
8 : The Scorpion : Water Sign : Planet - PLUTO : Colour - Deep Red
The twelve individuals of Scorpio are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Positive:Intense, Perceptive, Ambitious, Shrewd, Analytical, Passionate
Negative:Cunning, Suspicious, Compulsive, Aggressive, Jealous, Controlling

Human Appearance
Scorpio are well proportioned, strong in body, muscular, slender, with a broad face and a commanding look. Their eyes are their strong point. Their gaze is often considered hypnotic, piercing, and imperial.

Powers
o Has ability to summon forth the dead as a mindless and expendable army.
oCan charm another being into performing certain tasks - whether for personal gain or the greater good.  Note that it is lesser charm, the more receptive the person is to Scorpio normally, the greater the charm will take hold.  It is possible for some to shake off the charm as long as they know they\'re being charmed.

9 : The Archer : Fire Sign : Planet - JUPITER : Colour - Purple
The twelve individuals of Sagittarius are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Positive:Proud, Dramatic, Dignified, Ambitious, Noble, Magnetic
Negative:Bossy, Boastful, Jealous, Promiscuous, Egotistical, Arrogant

Human Appearance
Sagittarius have a large and well-shaped skull, a high, broad forehead, a small, slender and well formed figure. They are tall but have the tendency to stoop or slouch.

Powers
o Have uncanny ability to always hit their intended target, whether it is with a tossed pebble, a basketball through a hoop or a bullet through a rifle\'s barrel, they will be successful.
oCan light their fingertips with a small flame, as though their digits are wicks.  They cannot throw them, but they can light things with them - they never need be without a lighter.

The twelve individuals of Capricorn are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Negative:Rigid, Suspicious, Status-Seeking, Demanding, Insensitive, Inhibited

Human Appearance
Capricorns have dark hair, steady eyes, a dark complexion, capable hands, and prominent cheekbones

o Can climb anything with the kind of acrobatic prowess that has even the best mountaineers gaping at their abilities.  It is rumoured that Parkour began by a Capricorn.

11 : The Water Carrier : Air Sign : Planet - URANUS : Colour - Blue
The twelve individuals of Aquarius are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Positive:Unconventional, Objective, Inventive, Tolerant, Rebellious, Humanitarian
Negative:Unpredictable, Dogmative, Over-Permissive, Aloof, Eccentric, Elitist

Human Appearance
Aquarius have a vague expression, finely chiseled features, above average height and a slender figure. Their eyes convey remoteness and have a dreamy quality. Aquarians also have average noses and lips that are full at the center and thin out toward the edges

12 : The Fish : Water Sign : Planet - NEPTUNE : Colour - Aquamarine
The twelve individuals of Pisces are very similar to each other, and have the following personality traits.

Positive:Compassionate, Sensitive, Spiritual, Easy-Going, Charitable, Artistic
Negative:Distracted, Detached, Impractical, Gullible, Neglectful, Escapist

Human Appearance
Piscean are average or shorter than average with a full figure.  Their eyes are large and attract attention.  Their hands and feet are often strikingly beautiful and delicate, with long tapered fingers and toes.  Shoulders are often muscular and spherical.

Powers
o Can transform their lower bodies into a fish tail and can breathe underwater.  Not to be confused with Sirens or any other water demons, they are certainly not demonic.
