« on: August 12, 2009, 02:52:02 PM »
Name: Anthony Briar Green
Age [appearance]: early twenties
Age [actual]: 25
Gender: Male
Species: Nymph (Earth)

Hair: Deep brown, nearly black, the color of wet fertile soil, shoulder length and constantly messy.
Eyes: Bright green like leaves in the sunlight
Frame: Slim, toned muscles but not much bulk, 5’7” 150 lbs
Tattoos/Distinguishing Marks: Tattoo of green ivy vines winding all the way up his right arm, and green thorns wound around his left ankle.

Personality: Friendly and outgoing most of the time, but on occasion becomes withdrawn, depressed, and easily annoyed. He becomes restless if stuck inside for too long and becomes really energetic and happy in an area full of plant life in the sunlight.

History: Briar’s biological mother was sixteen years old one summer, when she met a very handsome young man with soft brown hair and unbelievably green eyes. She was smitten immediately. They spent two weeks hardly leaving each other alone for a moment, and then one day he was gone. He never even said good bye. Nine months later a baby boy was born. He looked just like his father. She felt unable to take care of him, so she put him up for adoption. She never knew that the young man she had fallen for was a nymph, or that their baby was also.

Anthony and Victoria Green, a wealthy American couple in California, adopted Briar when he was still an infant. He was a relatively normal baby, though even then they noticed that he was happiest outside in the flower garden in the back yard, and would cry when they took him back inside. By the time he was five they allowed him to help out in the garden, and were astonished that even at that young age he was able to make all of the flowers grow twice as big bright and beautiful as they had before. Also, every time he had a major temper tantrum, there was an earthquake, but as earthquakes were common in that area it was dismissed as a strange coincidence.

All through school his grades were horrible. He was unable to focus properly when he was stuck inside a room. If there were windows in the room all he could do was stare out the windows and wish he was outside, if there were no windows it made him too depressed to think. It seemed all he’d ever be great at was making things grow.

When he was fifteen years old, he snuck out of the house with some friends. He came back home at five in the morning. His parents caught him in the act and a huge argument took place. The angrier Briar got, the more intense the earthquakes became. The whole family then realized that something was not quite normal about him, but none of them knew what it was.

A year ago he moved to this city and opened up a small flower shop called Briar’s Patch. It was initially financed by his parents, but he has paid them back in full. As it has the most beautiful flowers in the city, including types that are normally impossible to grow in this part of the world, it’s become rather successful.

Awareness of Supernaturals: He knows he has powers but he doesn’t know what he is or that any other supernaturals exist.

Occupation/Job: Owns and runs Briar’s Patch

Interesting Facts / Quirks: He’s an avid environmentalist, big into recycling and making sure he has the most energy efficient appliances. Frequently plants trees, eats mostly fruits vegetables and whole grains. He tries not to eat much processed food.

Hobby/Hobbies: Camping, hiking, gardening.

Likes: Being outside, plant life, sunlight, taking walks in the rain.
Dislikes: Windowless white rooms and any kind of pollution.

Strength: Kind, thoughtful, and tenacious: he accomplishes what he sets out to accomplish.
Weakness/Flaws: Prone to obsessing over things. Once he gets an idea in his head he can’t let it go and will likely follow it to the end no matter what the cost, and often can’t do anything else until the problem at hand is solved.
