786 Acrilo Street

Set slightly back from the road behind a modestly sized, manicured lawn lies a modern-looking house with brass characters on the front door, quietly declaring it 786 Acrilo. The house is small, a two-story affair with gray vinyl siding and black shutters beneath a black shingle roof, boasting an attached one-car garage and a brick porch in the front, which is enclosed by a low iron fence. The concrete driveway is usually seen with a dark blue Toyota Venza parked in it.

Once inside the front door, the living room is furnished with a large flatscreen television and a comfortable array of black leather furniture. Much of the center of the room is taken up by a broad, square glass-top coffee table with wooden edges and legs. A long buffet separates the kitchen - which appears to be used as a workshop with running water, as much as anything else - from the living room. The windows are covered with floor-length blackout curtains over blinds, tastefully disguised as thick black drapes. To the far left, a door (usually left half-open) leads out to the garage. To the right, next to a small half-bath, stairs march up to a landing before turning to the left, covered in the same thick gray carpet as the rest of the house.

The upstairs is composed of a broad hallway, which opens to a master bedroom suite on the right side, complete with bathroom. At the end of the hall, a standard bathroom lies behind a door almost perpetually closed. The left side of the hall has two doors on it, each leading to a smaller bedroom. The first of these is used as a guest room, outfitted with a wardrobe, a mirror, and a twin bed. The second door leads to a room used to store finished sculptures, and a well-outfitted computer desk. The monitor is always on, displaying updates from online bidding companies. A tripod with a high-end digital camera occupies a corner next to the desk.

The basement, which can be accessed from a door discreetly screened by the refrigerator, is a basic concrete-block affair with a concrete floor. It houses extra raw material, such as blocks of wood and smaller blocks of stone, as well as the washer and dryer.
