NOTE: I\'ve had some hard times with John. He is inspired by Joe Strummer, the lead singer of the 70\'s punk band, The Clash. Originally I created him for The Savage Islands. After that, I had him moved to Infusco and have recently lost most interest in playing him. He\'s only had one thread in his entire life time so he\'s got pretty much no mileage on him! A clean slate!
He\'s pretty detailed in appearance and I\'ve included pictures of the real Joe Strummer so anyone playing him could get a good understanding of him. DO NOT GET RID OF HIS JACKET, it is a big part of who Joe is as a character.
His realtionship status is optional, as are his kids. One does not have to play him as though he is a married father. Creativity in that aspect is yours.

AppearanceHair: It\'s thick and wavy, but worn relatively short, dark brown in color. Typically just worn with gel or a bit of product, and combed back as much as possible, yet it has the habit to style itself and chooses to stand high on Joe’s head. It has a medium texture, nothing extreme to it but it certainly wouldn\'t be considered useful for sandpaper. It looks better than it feels, too. He also has a rather large forehead, which may give the illusion of a slightly receded hairline.
Eyes: Brown in color and small in size, with heavy lids which make him seem as if he\'s relaxing or worn out, or even hopped up on something. This is not to say that his gaze is not intense, because he considers his eyes to be one of his better features. Most would probably feel quite intimidated if he were to break his usual tradition and get extremely angry.
Nose: His nose is very narrow at the bridge and continues this trend as one looks lower. Finally his nostrils flare quite wide and round. At certain profile angles, one would notice a slight similarity between John Mellor and a shark, due to his narrow bone structure and his lengthy nose. Needless to say, it\'s not one of his favorite things to have pointed out. It does, however, make his sneers appear much more intense when he does sneer.
Lips: While it would appear thin and wide, once Joe opens his mouth, one would see exactly why he is a singer of a rock band. He has one of those Steven Tyler mouths, having thin, wide lips, and the ability to open his mouth to an unprecedented amount. Fluent in yelling, screaming and grimacing during sets, John\'s mouth might just be the oddest part about him. His bone structure can make him look rather skeletal, especially from straight on.
Skin Color: Considering he hails from London, where the sun never shines, John has fair skin with freckles on his neck, chest and upper arms. Considering he and the band play sets and party at nights and he sleeps during much of the day, it’s not often that John has opportunity to get a tan, as much as he may want one. In fact he burns too easily upon exposure to the sun, finding it exceedingly difficult to tan.
Frame: He is awkwardly tall, measuring in at 6’ 3’’ and he weighs 163 lbs. He has long arms and legs with some muscle mass, but he is still considered \'lanky\' by most.
Physical Attractiveness: He’s not exactly a looker, but he can easily blend into a crowd without anybody throwing stones at him. Most would not find his looks anything extremely alluring, nor would they marry him based on his physical appearance alone. This, however, is not to say that he is without charm, as he knows how to woo the ladies well enough without much macho behavior or a wad of cash. He’s small in build, his only strength inhabiting his smallish arm muscles (which can strum a beautiful chord or throw a painful punch) and his legs (which can kick over an amplifier or push him several feet into the air during any set). He would be characterized as lean and lanky, with wiry limbs and a thin body. His body language and his facial structures make him appear like one tough mother-father, this tends to deter anyone instead of attract.
Clothing: Of course he’s a punk rocker. And what punk rocker would be complete without that tricked-out black-leather jacket? This jacket has been tricked out, of course, loaded with studs and spikes which cover the right shoulder completely, several patches of bands on the back, sewn on with multiple colors of thread. On the front there are spray-painted words reading “Passion is Fashion”. The cuffs of both arms are studded and the zipper has long since been broken. He wears his dark-blue jeans skinny and his plain white t-shirt tight with a simple but clean pair of Chuck Taylor’s.
Tattoos/Distinguishing Marks: He has a tattoo of the British flag on the inside of his left arm. He also has the names of his two daughters on his lower right leg inside of a tribal tattoo.
Personality: Obnoxious. He has the tendency to be overly obnoxious with almost everything he does. His voice is loud, his actions are loud and even his opinions are loud. He\'s not afraid to sing the loudest or break the most things. He loves attention though he likes to disperse credit where credit is due. He\'s very addictive and charismatic, but quite rough around the edges. He was always the first one to start a riot and the first one to be arrested for disorderly conduct. Joe is a giant goofball and does everything to get some kind of a reaction out of somebody, be in the police, his fans, or his kids. He loves living crazy.
On the flip side he is a very passionate person. He loves his kids and his music and can\'t live very long without either. He\'s extremely philosophical when it comes to living and could even be considered a Taoist in the ways he lives, chosing to live and enjoy life today. He finds life to be an adventure and doesn\'t want to waste a second of it.
History: John Mellor was one of three children to Kimberly and Clint Mellor. The family was poor and barely afforded the rent of the one bedroom apartment, but the parents were good people. They gave their kids the best life they knew how to, even if the kids did have to go to bed hungry some days.
By the time John was in grade school, it was evident that he was into music. He would go over to his friends\' houses and play with their drums and guitars whenever he could. John was playing entire songs well before he was thirteen.
High school came, and all of a sudden John was filling up his afternoons with activities just to avoid going back home. Family life grew harder as Clint began to realize that his son wasn\'t going to become a doctor. When the boy was sixteen, there was a large arguement between father and son over the plans for John\'s life. John wanted to play music and be what he chose to be. Clint wanted him to forget about music and make a success-story out of himself. Push came to shove and John left his home that night for the last time, with a fat lip.
From that point on, John never looked back. When he was eighteen, he graduate from high school and moved to the nameless city, with the hopes of starting a new life somewhere else.
When he was twenty-one, John met a few new friends with similar tastes and skills in music at a Ramones concert. These would be his band members in The Spanish Bombs.
A year later, Mellor was caught up with this nice chick of nineteen after a show. The girl, Jackie, ended up pregnant with John\'s first little girl, Kelley. John\'s been with Jackie ever since, and the couple has currently two daughters, Angeline being his second, though there has been some problems with infidelity on his end. I mean, come on! Three months on a tour bus with a whole bunch of guys, who wouldn\'t cheat, right?

Joe listens to all genres of music but prefers the punk rock and folk rock of the 70\'s and 80\'s.
Even though he sometimes cheats on his girl, he will always say that he loves them to no end and would never want to hurt them. In fact, he often feels guilty about cheating on Jackie afterwards to the point of physical sickness.
He is a very proud person and will not let anyone shit talk him or his family.
He\'s a fantastic fighter because of his speed. He can throw a punch hard enough to break a jaw and his own fist.
He loves the sight of his own blood. He thinks it makes him look like a bad-ass mother father when he has blood dribbling down his face.
Hobbies: Playing guitar is always an option. He likes to sing whenever a song pops up to his mind. He constantly thinks of new songs and spends his time recording them in his mind, so it is not uncommon to see him walking about and talking to himself and drumming and/or strumming on his pants. Being long and lithe, he likes to climb on objects that weren\'t meant to be climbed, such as street posts, fences, etc. This human hangs out in all the bars or pool houses that the city has to offer, getting drunk or starting brawls or just living it up. On a much softer side, he loves to take his daughters to school plays, to play grounds, or even to the supermarket.
Likes: Music, punk rock, pogo, eating, eating contests, tattoos, writing lyrics, playing guitar, playing drums, performing, sweating, singing, girls, soccer, his family, Jackie, marijuana, alcohol, short skirts and big boobs.
Dislikes: Gay guys, disrespect, arguing, cocaine, violence, the idea of anything hurting his girls, infidelity, death, terrible bands, spearmint gum, country music, metalheads and metal music, his father, shit talk.
Strengths:- He is a very laid-back person and it takes a lot to get him upset
- He is very secure in himself. His self-esteem levels are ideal and he hardly ever questions his purpose in life anymore.
- He is the farthest thing from a sell out and he\'s proud of it.
- He loves his family and friends. For him, life couldn\'t be more ideal
- He gives people the benefit of the doubt.
Weaknesses: - He can be rather selfish and rely on self-preservation rather than logic, which often leads him to trouble farther down the line, i.e. cheating.
- He can be extremely confrontational when he\'s drunk or high.
- He gets drunk and/or stoned too often for his own good. Often times his friends have to bail him out of trouble and so he is worthless without them.
- His decision not to sell out creates a problem for his family, who need money more often than he would like. The fact that he spends a bit of money on his vices doesn\'t help their situation.
- He is very difficult to get along with when he\'s in a bad mood.
