Worship Me
« on: November 13, 2009, 10:24:21 AM »
HE\'D KICKED OUT HIS MINDLESS pet from the penthouse and given him to Declan to deal with.  He didn\'t know if the Vampire Oligarch would keep him, eat him or pass him on to someone else, and he didn\'t really care.  For all the effort he\'d put into the Vomas lookalike, he\'d got very little satisfaction back.  Fucking him had been like fucking a mannequin and he wasn\'t going to have that.

He\'d finally decided pets weren\'t for him.  Fledglings, now they were a whole lot more fun - especially those ones that didn\'t expect to be sired, they could provide many nights of entertainment.  He had over a hundred to his name in the two thousand or so years he\'d been a vampire, and less than half were walking the planet still, but what did he care?  Once they stopped being fun, he kicked them out.

Right now he was trolling for a piece of action - or several.  The young lads who frequented this place were often a great source of fun, and Lazarus had started taking three at a time back to his place for a romp and a party, sending them away when morning rolled around because they were mostly used up by then.  They were usually happy when they left, frolicking with the Luminary and leader of the supernaturals.

There were a few young men (barely out of their teens, or likely in their late teens) that he had his eye on, though they weren\'t all together.  He preferred picking up a couple of friends to picking up separate youths, but right now he was looking to have a drink, have a fuck, and toy with someone\'s mind - the more they looked like a \'nice\' type, all the better to corrupt them.

Orias had heard about Risk from one of his online vampire buddies from the city, but he\'d only recently decided to approach the elite club. The bouncers had given him pause at the door, as though not sure if they should let him in or not. He wasn\'t sure why, though modern society was obsessed with youth and he had been turned at an older stage of his human life than most. It wasn\'t as if he looked old, though. Far from it, he drove a new, gleaming navy blue Toyota Venza. He\'d spent some time on his appearance today, wearing a hint of a clean, spicy cologne to accent his current accidental scent of cedar and oak.

Even his clothes were up to date and fashionable. He wore a medium blue shirt with the sleeves rolled to the elbow, with a crisply white t-shirt underneath, decorated with a black griffin insignia of a designer store. His jeans were dark blue, faded to a fashionable "distressed" look in all the right places. He had even put on a necklace, a simple black cord with a silver kanji hanging from it. In his own opinion, he looked good enough to eat. In the end, he imagined the bouncers had agreed, and they told him to read the posted rules inside the door and let him pass.

Once he was inside, he quickly found himself engaged on the dancefloor by a human-vampire duo. The human must have barely been in his second decade, and the vampire not much more, he guessed. He had never been much good at such things. He tossed his shirt over a random stool at some point and lost track of it. Orias was in the mood to really let loose tonight.

(ooc: trying out a new character to see how he feels/whether he\'s sheet-worthy.  Sheet will follow if he\'s interesting... promise! ;))

Dominic was in denial.  He wasn\'t really here, in fact.  He wasn\'t in this club filled with vampires.  He wasn\'t on the dance floor, sandwiched between Orias and another particularly nice specimen.  He really wasn\'t wearing his dancing clothes, his come-suck-me shirt - he was just wearing sneakers and ripped jeans and a white singlet because it was as hot as fuck in the middle of the throng, and his nice button-up black shirt was currently tucked into his back pocket and dangling down past his ass, so he couldn\'t be here... right?

He hadn\'t meant to come here.  As far as his boyfriend, Michael, was concerned, he certainly wasn\'t here - he\'d gone out to quote a plumbing job, expecting he\'d be picked up on the spot to start the work or at least draw up plans, only to be told that was inconvenient and another date was made.  He wasn\'t sure what he\'d tell Michael when he got home.  This place... wasn\'t Michael\'s scene.  He didn\'t even know vampires existed, so he couldn\'t tell him - and besides, Dom had given vampires up.  For almost ten months now (conveniently, the same amount of time he and Michael had been going out).

He hadn\'t been back

lapsed

in all that time, though he\'d certainly thought about it.  Once you had that feeling of a vampire drawing on you, you never went back, he believed.  And when it was topped with some hot, carnal sex, well... he\'d been quite the addict, back in the day.  From about the age of seventeen to twenty, anyway.  Now he was older (twenty-one), wiser, was in a committed relationship, he didn\'t need the bite to send him to the heights of passion, he had warm, caring, generous, loving Michael for that.  Michael, who never harmed a fly, who was softly-spoken, big-eyed and great at massages.  Michael, who liked to start every night of lovemaking just like that, tenderly and sensually, putting his heart and soul into it, not just his body.  He liked to please and he was good at it, it was just...

It was a bad idea, being here.  In fact, Dom had waltzed past the bouncers and into the club and then right back out into the entrance tunnel again.  Leaning against the noticeboard, staring at the floor and taking deep breaths in an effort to stop his body raging, he\'d tried to talk himself out, in fact.  He\'d eventually straightened up and taken a step towards the exit, resolved to just go again... but it had seemed stupid, after he\'d finally found a place to park his work truck - a safe place - to just go.  Just like that.  Without even one dance.  And that was all he\'d have, he\'d decided.  One dance, a little look around, no drinking because he was driving, just... one dance and one look, that was it.

Except, like all addicts, he couldn\'t get that close and just stop. He\'d justified that the song was halfway through when he started dancing, and then a very hot looking vampire had come and started smiling at him at the beginning of song number two and he couldn\'t just walk away, right?  So he\'d stayed.  And lost count of the songs since then, but then there was this nicely dressed even hotter guy behind him and he just... wanted to check he was still there, actually.

Dom turned and looked over his broad, well-muscled shoulder and smiled.  The singlet showed off his well-toned tradesman\'s body well, and he was tall with it, too, at six foot three.  Tall and broad and really not Michael\'s usual type, because he wasn\'t book-smart and he didn\'t like good wine and poetry, but he was great looking and they\'d both been looking for a change of pace; Michael was going through his bad-boy phase (everybody had one once in their life, right?) and Dom... was trying someone with a pulse.  They worked pretty well together, in fact, and Dome had even considered the L word with Michael a few times.

But what he had with Michael and what he was immersing himself in here were two totally different things.

The guy behind him seemed like he knew what was what when Dom glanced over his shoulder and flashed his dimples at him, so Dom took a moment to consider the vampire that was still in front of him... and then he turned again and looked Orias over obviously, his dark blue eyes twinkling

His smooth golden skin and generous lips declared that he had traces of South Sea Islander in his bloodline - if one was looking for it - as did his black hair, but his blue eyes often threw people off the scent, and they tended to assume he was just well tanned from being in the sun so much.  The tribal tattoos he had covering his right bicep looked like everyone\'s trendy tattoos, except they had meaning to him and they weren\'t small, arty things, they were bold, swirling black lines that also snarled their way onto his back to cover as far as his right shoulder blade, with a tendril snaking up the same side of his neck.  His thick, wavy hair was kept short - with a little length on top for styling, that never amounted to much beyond some curls if he let it go - to show off his neck, and that one vine-thin tendril.

"How you doing?" he asked the guy behind him with a brief head lift of acknowledgment, and turned as he spoke, so that the other vampire was now behind him - he\'d seemed a bit too polite, really.  And little.  Dom liked guys as big as him, and it didn\'t matter if it was in height or breadth (for he had both) or that they had supernatural strength, he liked being matched.  Michael didn\'t match him, he was smaller, fair to his dark and soft-skinned to his calloused, but that was okay; he wasn\'t a vampire.

Dominic did a little dip and wiggle that got his narrow hips closer to Orias\'; they made contact briefly, but it was just a nudge and it didn\'t mean anything.  Nothing like... take me and suck me, I\'ll be yours or anything.  Not anything like that.  Was more just... well, how you doin\'?  That was all.  It didn\'t mean anything.  He smiled so his dimples flashed again.

Orias felt Dom - was that what he had said his name was? - bump against him in a friendly way. He had hoped it would be more than friendly, something more like a grind, but he has happy to respond with a friendly nudge of his own. It had been a while, and Dom was handsome as far as he was concerned, so his body made it slightly more adult than friendly of its own accord. He grinned to Dom as they danced, beginning to shift towards moves a bit more intimate. Dance styles that would excite the human, hint at the lust of feeding.

He really wasn\'t quite sure what he wanted tonight. Feeding would be nice, it had been a few nights, but he was hardly desperate. Sex was always good, but vampires were just so much better at it, except his kind were cold. He wished he had the psychic talents so many of vampires possessed, to read the minds of mortals and kindred alike. Still, the not knowing was beginning to bother him, almost as much as the thought of that chest-high block of oak he had carved into a rough outline of a humanoid figure, or perhaps two... he hadn\'t decided. He needed a model, but that nagging artistic feeling he despised kept him from choosing among the amateurs that thronged through the city. He needed to express something that he couldn\'t put his finger on, and had come to Risk to see if he couldn\'t find it here. After all, what better place to find inspiration than a club where life and death danced to the music of the day?

He glanced around, fairly obviously in fact, looking for another potential model. This Dom caught his interest, but didn\'t flare inspiration. Something more was required, and there was a block of red oak in his studio. The faceless, featureless shape or shapes within it taunted him, dared him to make them into something beautiful. He needed a damn model. The thought bothered him so much that he nearly stopped dancing. They had come fairly close to the bar; he considered buying a glass of blood and a drink for his human friend.

"Would you like a drink? I was considering getting some blood." He smirked slightly, as he did every time his soft Hungarian accent marred the word "blood" and made it into the dramatic proclamation of a black-and-white Dracula. He drew Dom over to the bar, out of the throng of dancers, slightly avoiding a somewhat angry-looking vampire with shoulder-length "rockstar" hair.

His answer died in his throat as his hand was taken and he was led down off the dance floor (which doubled as a stage if there was a band playing), through the booths and scattered tables and up to the bar.

He\'d meant to say, "No thanks, I was just here for a dance and I have to head home now, I have work early in the morning!" but what he actually said was... nothing.  His tongue had got rather tangled at the comment about the vampire considering some blood and then his heart had started thumping like he was running a four hundred in under a minute and then they were at the bar and all he could do was stare at Orias.  It was a weird name and he still wasn\'t sure he\'d heard it correctly due to the music thumping up on the dance floor, but he hadn\'t wanted to ask for it to be repeated a third time.  That would be embarrassing.

He was looked at and he realised he hadn\'t answered, so he choked down the saliva that seemed to be flooding his mouth at the thought he was about to get bitten and did his best to summon something.  "Uh... no thanks.  I\'m driving."  It was all he managed before the ability to speak left him and he just stood there, feeling like a dumb ox caught in the blinding, oncoming lights of a semi trailer, gawking and waiting.

He reeeeeeeeally wanted to be bitten.  It was thrumming through him, his blood felt too hot and too full in his veins and he was remembering every sweet time he\'d ever been pressed down onto or up against something before the sharp sting of fangs biting into him registered.  It had hurt initially, every time, but then the most amazing rush of warmth had taken him up like a wave claims a surfer and he\'d just drowned in the feelings of bliss.

He wanted that again.  He wanted it so badly he could fucking taste it and it didn\'t matter how often he pictured Michael\'s face or thought about the loving cuddles he\'d get when he got home and lied about being at the job a long time and then going to a bar with the owner for a drink (to explain the smell of smoke on him), none of it was working.  None of it compared to the sting and the thrill - and the sex, but God, he wasn\'t here for that he didn\'t need that... right?  Just the bite, he could get sex any time he wanted it at home, a bite he couldn\'t.

Just one bite and he would be on his way.  That was all.  He stared hotly at Orias, willing him to get his message, to offer to take him to one of the rooms out the back, to stop being so fucking polite (and a little bit disinterested, truth be told - Dominic was worried about the distracted air the vampire seemed to have) and just take him.  Take him so he could get out of Risk and go home, where he could curl up with Michael and forget about this, once he had it out of his system.  Just one more time and that was it, he\'d be done for good.  Just one more time.

There was a fledgling he\'d noticed, one of those unattached ones, the kind that didn\'t have a sire and were just drifting through their un-life looking for someone to take the lead for them, to influence them into being the dark beings they really were.  Courage was all it was, a little bit of bravado, a few implications that they could amount to something cool and dangerous, and they would follow him.  The fledgling went to the dance floor with a longing look cast Lazarus\' way and as he considered maybe joining the youth before tantalising him with what could be, the fledge found himself a mortal to dance with.  At first Lazarus was keen to see how it developed, for this was exactly the scenario he\'d wanted when he\'d first entered the club.  Picking up a couple who\'d already picked up each other would be a nice mesh - especially if one of them was mortal and could be shared.  The fledge had picked someone who looked strong too, someone who could put up with a little extra blood-letting.

Unfortunately, another vampire got in the way of Lazarus\' imagined plans.  At first he thought it was just a dance, but then the mortal lost interest in the fledge Lazarus had first eyed and turned his attention on his newer dance partner.  Laz sneered, hoping the fledge would pursue, but he lost himself in the throng of dancers instead (probably too much of a fucking wuss to face off against another of his kind) and then the mortal was at the bar with the new guy.

"Fuck!" Lazarus whisper-shouted, slinking off the stool he\'d been perched on, leaving the small round table in order to approach the bar.  That prick of a vampire had interfered with his pickup-pair, and damned if he was going to get the mortal prize.  If running interference was what that vampire wanted, then interference he was going to get.

Lazarus slid into place behind Dominic, his elbow resting on the bar as he faced the youth\'s back, looking over him (just - as there was only an inch between them in height, it was more an around him) at the Interferer, to see if maybe he\'d be recognised as the Luminary.  If not, then he could get up to some real mischief.  Like in the old days.  He didn\'t say anything yet, wanting to come into the conversation with a good line.

"I\'d be happy to drive you anywhere you needed to be," Orias smiled helpfully. "Of course, I can respect your choice not to partake... if that\'s what you really want." He leaned in close enough to make the last words a seductive whisper, and let one of his canines brush Dom\'s earlobe. The human seemed impatient, but also tense for some other reason. It was almost as though he were strung out on something, but he could smell no drugs or chemicals from him, even in such close proximity. Then he backed off and glanced up at the bartender.

When he looked back, a roguish blond vampire with shaggy hair had taken a position somewhere between behind and around Dom. At first, Orias was irked; after all, he\'d been considering eating that. Then, as he took in the pair of them, as he stared at the intruding vampire\'s lazy, intense gray eyes, he whooped and laughed out loud.

"Hello, stranger! Would you two mind doing that pose naked?"

"Mind?  I have every intention of doing so," Lazarus replied, one arm reaching around the mortal\'s waist and hand sliding upward to hold the youth\'s face from beneath his chin, while his other grasped his hair and forced his head to tilt to the left - for Lazarus has been peering around his right.  Perfect for the biting, though he didn\'t, for he still had something to say to Mr Interference.  "Not going to let you watch, though," he sniped, pressing his face close to Dominic\'s neck and smelling his skin.  The boy was clean; clean in Risk meant a nice boy, for most of them were addled on drink or drugs by the time Lazarus got to them.  Clean was exactly what he was looking to get dirty with.

Everything was happening a liiiiittle too fast for Dominic.  One second he was getting ready to refuse to be driven anywhere and explain how he didn\'t really want any alcohol

because it taints it
dulls it
I want it sharp and clean
I want to feel it all
I want the memory to be perfectly clear... not like the old days
the wild days
the drink it-smoke it-swallow it-suck me-fuck it days

because he had to work in the morning, then in the next second there were fangs running along his ear and shivers all up and down his spine.  His skin was suddenly awash with goosebumps and his eyelashes fluttered closed; simultaneously, his breath caught and he swallowed, feeling weak-kneed and light-headed at the offer and altogether hornier for the bite than he\'d probably ever been.

Then there was this... other.  He\'d not even been aware of anyone that close behind him, so focussed on Orias had he been, yet suddenly he was being embraced and placed for biting.  His eyes sprang open in panic, his heart thumping with fear more than excitement, and the discussion was about being naked and in this position and nobody watching and

STOP!

he freaked out.

Gulping down his terror, Dominic tried to get away from the vampire holding him

but he didn\'t BITE YET
he was going to BITE YOU
just stand there \'til you\'ve BEEN BITTEN, at least!

so that he could stand between the two supernaturals and interject some rationality into the equation.  "W-wait just a fuckin\' minute!" was what he managed to stammer out in his struggles to get free of the iron arm banded across his body.

It was about that moment when he got into an awkward position where he could actually see who was holding him and he stopped.  Dead.  The blood drained from his face and he just about fainted on the spot, in fact, so it was a damn good thing he was being held up, considering he went instantly slack.

"Lazarus," he whispered and it was hard to tell if he was afraid or simply awed, but it was probably both.  Either way, the blonde was recognised, but it was not as the Luminary.  Oh no, Dominic\'s relations with the ancient far preceded that station - in fact, he\'d left the scene about the time it had all occurred, so as far as the mortal knew, the blonde demigod was still out of the city.

Except here he was, in the flesh, alive and well (so to speak), and hanging onto him.  Dom\'s mouth was dry at last, as his mind was flooded with memories.

The whole reason he\'d ever even found the scene that had hooked him had been because of this vampire.  Dominic had been almost seventeen when the Apocalypse took hold of the city and, unlike most of the terrified mortals around him, he\'d embraced the wonder of it.  The eroticism.  The mystery.  He\'d pursued winged beasts one night, watching them play, and imps the next.  Wolves and animals ran through the city streets, goblins cavorted and gargoyles had blacked out the sky.

But most mysterious and fascinating of all had been the vampires.  He\'d been young, strong, still in school and easily led by his older gay friends, who seemed to suddenly know where all the best parties, inhabited by the most amazing and sexy creatures were.  They were there to be the meal and they all knew it but they played on it and played up to it like there would be no daylight reckoning and no future beyond the barricaded walls of what had once been a civilised city.  It was a whirl of drinking, drugs, reckless hedonism and such sinful, pleasurable experiences that it still made his eyes roll back in his head when he thought about it.

Dominic was fed from and had his first full on sexual experience with a man on the same night, forever sealing his lust and addiction to vampires into his soul, and sapping his will to fight them off.  He\'d thought he was going to die - and one of his friends had, at the fangs of one less experienced, somewhere else in the house they\'d been partying in - but that had been okay, because the path he\'d taken to get there had been the best he\'d ever trod in his life.  Worst of all, the man who\'d taken his virginity in both ways... now stood holding him, and he was weak against the memory of it.  Lazarus was still the best lover he\'d ever had, the best vampire... the best.  And he was back?  Dom knew he was in deep, deep trouble.

"I have to get home," he whispered weakly, averting his gaze back to Orias, the plea clear in his eyes.  "Please, let me go.  This was a really stupid idea, I need to get home now.  I can\'t... I can\'t be here any more, I... someone\'s waiting for me and... it was stupid!  No, I won\'t pose naked and no, I\'m not interested in you drinking from me.  Either of you," he asserted, for Lazarus\' benefit. The more he talked, the more strength and conviction entered his voice and he actually began to think it would be okay, if he was just firm with them.  The night was young, there was plenty of other meat to squabble over in the place - as far as he could tell, they hadn\'t planned this, didn\'t know each other, could be done with a troublesome mortal who was going to kick up a stink, right?

Except he knew it wasn\'t Lazarus\' style to take no for an answer - the man had raped an entire city and made it figuratively suck his cock as an encore, for fuck\'s sake.  Men like that - vampires like that - didn\'t get told no and accept it, unless they didn\'t really care either way.  But the sulky tone and the stony arm holding him told Dom that the ancient actually did seem to care what was going on, and that he wanted some fun.  Fun like he was used to getting; adulation and acquiescence and a whole lot of pleasure being exchanged and God he doubted he\'d be recognised as someone who\'d done that with him before... but in a way, he sort of wanted to be, too.

Lazarus had been his world for a couple of brief, wild nights and Dom had (stupidly) been pursuing him like a phantom in every vampiric encounter he\'d had ever since.  It was dangerous to sink back into that melee of lust and abandon, but so insanely tempting... especially if he suddenly found he mattered to the one who mattered to him.  He was royally, grandly and sensationally screwed on this one and he had a moment to feel a pang of longing for sweet, simple Michael before he was responded to and the drama continued.

Lazarus was prepared to enter into a staring contest with Mr Interference since pulling the mortal into his hold, daring the other vampire to challenge him for his meal.  Most didn\'t.  Most just dismissed Lazarus\' taking as \'not woth the fight\' and allowed him control.  He wondered if Mr Interference was like that.  Now that Lazarus was closer, he sensed the other was far from a fledgling, but also far from his old grand age.

The mortal in his grip began to squirm enough for Lazarus to revise his hold on his hair, and then he heard his name.  So, the other had called him stranger, but the mortal knew he was the Luminary.  Unfortunately, the youth decided this was a good time to enter into a plea and once he gave room for something to be said, Lazarus shushed him, turning his lips close to Dominic\'s ear but not averting his gaze from the other vampire, who right now was who he was paying the most attention to.

"Shhhhhhhh, the grownups are talking," he said, and as a warning, tugged a little harder on the youth\'s hair to force his neck just a touch more to the side, in a manner that wasn\'t yet painful but could very easily lead to it.

No, no no no no no... the scene was perfect, the match was perfect, Dom and this newly arrived predator - there was no other word for this vampire but a predator - were exactly what he was looking for. He\'d developed a keen eye for detail in over four centuries of being an artist. This was what he wanted, this is what that taunting red oak, the color of washed-out dried blood, was waiting for. This new vampire was everything he was looking for, languid and bored death mercilessly fixed on fearful and panicked life.

But he needed to convince them, both of them, that they wanted to do this where he could catch every moment. Where he could capture that perfect, quintessential moment that he would inflict on that damnable block of oak. He was already imagining how he would treat it, with powdered pale stone rubbed into the body of the vampire to bring it to undead pallor. He\'d used the technique before; he just didn\'t know what blend he would use for this intrusively proud specimen.

Ahh, Dom though... he would use a penetrating oil pigment to replicate his tattoos, before treating the whole thing with natural oils. One would be pale and pristinely matte, absorbing light into the pallor, while the other gleamed with, and reflected, light.

He stopped himself, realizing he was staring at the newcome vampire with a hungry lust. Dom\'s neck was arched to the side, exposing his whole neck. The mortal seemed caught between leaning towards Lazarus - that\'s what he had been called? - and trying to get away. His face was absolutely petrified with longing and terror.

It was perfect. He had to do something.

He reached out and grabbed the other vampire\'s wrist, the one holding onto Dom\'s hair, and twisted hard in order to force Dom\'s head back to its upright position.

"I\'ve got my own desires, friend, and I\'d be much obliged if you\'d do me the honor." His grip and tone made it a demand. His expression made it a humble request. But the sudden lust to see these two together, to imprint it permanently into three-dimensional glory, was an addiction the like of which he had rarely known.

"What do you say, Lazarus?"

What.  The.  Fuck.

As Lazarus\' hand was forced into tipping Dominic\'s head back into the upright position, his stare remained fixed on the obviously younger but obviously not weaker vampire in front of him.

How.  The.  Fuck.

Lazarus was so used to being the strongest physically that he couldn\'t properly conceive what had just happened.  The other\'s hand was still on his wrist, he could feel the iron grip on him, much firmer than anyone even half his age, let alone less than that.  This vampire was no Ancient so how...?

His ears did the listening to what the vampire holding onto him was saying but his mind was still computing where his strength had come from.  First Kerr had bested him mentally, but had been too much of a weak prick to finish him off.  His ring, his beautiful-ugly amethyst block of a gem on his finger stopped any further mental attacks and so once more he couldn\'t be bested.  Until now.  Did this other vampire have access to some magical artefact that enhanced his strength beyond the norm?  If this was the case, then--

Hang on, had he asked to watch?

Lazarus\' thoughts came to a quick stop as he surveyed the other, his gaze intensifying as he struggled to think up an appropriate response.  It was appealing.  Fuck, it was appealing; such a request sang to the exhibitionist in him.  He\'d fucked young men like the one in his hands in the park, in the art gallery, in the lighthouse with the spot throwing their shadows in the sky for anyone and everyone to see, on the beach, against a wall in the street, he\'d picked up audiences before and ignored them in order to concentrate on who he was doing, getting an extra thrill from it.

"If you want to watch, you\'ll have to submit," he said quietly, and so the negotiations began.  The other vampire was as strong as he was, so he needed the upper hand somehow.  Could he be manipulated in order to get what he wanted?  Lazarus would have him on his knees to prove he was superior, but in order to watch Lazarus drink from and fuck this mortal, would Mr Interference go so far?

Already Lazarus was thinking about the VIP rooms upstairs, which allowed for more space and imagination than the curtained partitions out back.

Apparently, Dominic\'s opinion on the negotiations didn\'t matter, but he couldn\'t help but register an attempt at objecting in a moment of silence anyway, his heart hammering fearfully.  How the fuck had this become some sort of voyeuristic fantasy bullshit?  He\'d said NO!

"Uh... gents?  I actually have to go," he reiterated, his voice sounding far more strangled than its usual smooth flavour, due to the tension tightening his throat - it almost sounded like his head was still tilted back.  It was also very annoying to only be able to move his eyes, but he gave a token effort at struggling away from Lazarus anyway.

"You guys will, uh, need to find somebody else," he asserted as gallantly as he could - and then he played his trump card.  "I have a boyfriend."

"Your boyfriend is waiting for you?" Orias was surprised by that revelation. "Is he here? That might be good." He wondered how that sort of aesthetic would work out. The wood was already set up for only two figures. Could he adapt it? It would be too busy, he decided in an instant. He wanted... no, he needed these two, specifically. "Call him. Get him to join us. Is he human or immortal?"

To Lazarus, he was more wary. "Submit how, exactly?" He might give a couple of favors, but there was no way in hell he was going to get degraded or distracted during all this. He was still hoping for Dom\'s boyfriend to show up, if he was human. He was still somewhat hungry.

Lazarus was just about to reply to the mortal\'s squirming and whiny protest

why should I give a flying fuck about your boyfriend?

when Mr Interference cut in.  Mr Interference was getting mighty close at having a name change to Mr Interruption.

"Who the fuck are you?" he snapped, losing patience thanks to whiny protests and voyeurs who wanted some kind of orgy.  He hadn\'t bothered to respond to the mortal now because the moment had passed.  He was also annoyed that Mr Interruption was talking to him, like his opinion mattered.

Orias\'s patience was wearing thin. He wanted these particular men to model for him, but his inspiration could be put on hold, or at the worst, he could use his imagination. Lazarus was behaving like an egocentric teenager with difficulty understanding basic manners.

"I\'m one of the most accomplished sculptors in the world, and I want to use you as a model," he snapped irritably. His temper was slow and his fuse quite long, but this was really tearing it. "Who the fuck do you think you are?"

He released Lazarus\' wrist and stared him down, but slid an arm around Dominic opposite the one Lazarus had placed around the human. He felt so fragile, so warm, trapped between them. If Orias had a heartbeat, it would have been pounding with both arousal and anger.

Dominic\'s eyes widened and the feeling of being pinned between them snapped something hopeful within him, so that he was quite suddenly floating free on hysteria and panic.  It was a giddy combination and it made him laugh.

He felt an absolute fool, sandwiched between two large, territorial vampires, bleating that he didn\'t want the part of their chew toy, only to be completely ignored, over and over.  He doubted very much that the wrist tattoo he\'d earned by being a Risk regular would do a lick for him, if they started to fight with him still in the middle.  All he could think to do was to start talking.

"He\'s Lazarus, you idiot!" he sprouted at Orias, and it seemed his Chatty Kathy string had just been yanked, because words continued to gush out of him.  "You know?  Like, as in Jesus\' buddy?  Yeah, that Lazarus!  He\'s been around a long time and he also happened to run this whole fucking city when he took it over a few years ago, so I wouldn\'t push it!  And Lazarus?  This is Orias.  He seemed like a good idea at some point, but right now I really want to say that I didn\'t come here to pick up, I just wanted to get drunk from and go home and that\'s it!  I\'m not even on the scene any more!  And no, my boyfriend\'s not here, he\'s got no fucking clue that vampires exist and he\'d be horrified to find out by meeting you two!  Why don\'t both just let me go so we can fucking go somewhere and stop... making... a scene!" he said through gritted teeth, really beginning to struggle on his last words.

He was doing nothing towards avoiding a scene, but he was really fucking fed up with being manhandled in a not nice way and the giddiness was taking him over; he was running on fight or flight instincts now and fight came first... especially when flight didn\'t seem an option.

Before he replied, the mortal replied for him, and oh, what a delicious reply it was.  Very suddenly, the pounding heart and warm flesh received Lazarus\' attention, as well as the utterly worshipful comments that came out of his mouth.  The mortal knew his sire was Jesus?  He hadn\'t told many people lately, which meant this kid came from Lazarus\' past - and he pinned down where in his past he was from by speaking about the Apocalypse when Lazarus had taken the city by force, instead of murdering the Luminary and taking his position in a bold political move instead.

If this kid had heard his speech about his sire, there was a good chance that Lazarus had claimed him before, because that was usually how the story went.  He drank, he talked about himself, he fucked, then he talked about himself some more.  Lazarus was recognised by the mortal in his hold not because he was the Luminary, but because of what he\'d done in his past.  Oh, oh, oh, this had gotten good.

He purred a low growl in his throat and tipped his head to suck on the mortal\'s earlobe once, still not remembering the youth but pleased to be remembered by him.  "If your boyfriend\'s not here, it doesn\'t matter what happens next."  He looked at Orias, feeling complimented and generous.  "I\'m taking this one upstairs.  Come if you like, love, but there\'s a price to watch," he said.  "Let him go," he demanded, though softly, and with a dangerous smile.

"Exactly, it doesn\'t matter what happens next," Orias agreed, leaning in and whispering the words into Dom\'s free ear. He let a sharp fang brush over the earlobe again. "Mortal boyfriends are just that... mortal and temporary."

To Lazarus, he smiled and inclined his head slightly. "You were sired by Jesus, were you? In that case, I assume you\'ve taken his lessons to heart... and know how to share." He made no move towards releasing Dom, despite the stares they were beginning to get from nearby patrons. It seemed that he was the only one who had been ignorant enough to not know Lazarus. Still, he knew what he wanted, and while he was fond of the human boy, he wasn\'t going to worry about a few bruises he might sustain. "What\'ll it cost me?"

"Your mouth," Lazarus replied, keeping a hand on Dominic\'s shoulder and stepping around him so that he was at the mortal\'s side with his arm about the mortal\'s shoulders keeping him locked in place, and with his now freed hand, he shoved Orias backward by his chest.  "Eyes only, bitch.  He was mine before you came along."

He wasn\'t going to comment on Jesus.  It wasn\'t like the Bible was entirely accurate about his life and trials.  The biggest fucking con ever.  Lazarus taking over a city couldn\'t compare to taking over half the fucking world.

"My mouth?" he asked quizzically, reading the most fun interpretation into it he could. He humorous expression was cut short by a painfully rough shove, which was saying something, considering his physical attributes. What the fuck is this guy\'s problem, he wondered silently. "This is getting a little rough for public," he said quietly, resuming his previous proximity to Dom. "Why don\'t we take this back to my studio. And if he was yours before I got here, then what\'s his name?"

Lazarus didn\'t strike him as the type to care much about people other than himself. He was taking a gamble, and a big one. If Lazarus actually had a relationship with Dom, then Orias was way out of line. He\'d be forced to bow out by his own embarrassment. If he was right... he might just gain some leverage in a seriously unbalanced situation.

At being declared Lazarus\', Dominic giggled to himself, the bubbles of it rising up his throat and into his head in a fairly pleasant way.  He stifled it as Orias continued speaking, but then the offer of going to a studio, out of the public eye, brought the laughter right back, strong and loud and braying!

"I don\'t WANT to go to your studio!" he said loudly, giggles wending their merry way around the words.  "And I don\'t WANT to go UPSTAIRS!  I WANT to go HOME!  I\'m dizzy, Mommy, I want to get OFF!" he laughed, beginning to find his own humour incredibly funny, in a very comforting sort of way.

He was held in place irrevocably, he knew that, so it was still fight or submit.  And yelling about it to the entire club was all the fight he was allowed.  It was a pity he was laughing madly through it, for he was deadly serious about wanting to just go home, but it couldn\'t be helped.

Lazarus stared at the hysterical mortal with obvious incredulity, and released him.  Last thing he was going to do was take some giggling nut upstairs only to have him in a fit of giggles as Lazarus declothed.  He wasn\'t up for that shit tonight, but he was certainly willing to meet the challenge of the young vampire in front of him, physically his match or otherwise.

"I\'ll hunt you down and have you later," he promised Dominic, still not knowing the mortal\'s name but who needed it when the mortal knew him?  It wasn\'t like he didn\'t have files on every mortal who knew about vampires in this city.  He just had to call one of his minions to bring him a bunch of files with photographs and he\'d get the kid\'s name AND address, and he\'d pay him and his ignorant boyfriend a fucking visit.

After his short threat, he faced off Orias and reached into his shirt pocket for his cigarette pack, not taking his eyes off him even as he pulled one out and the lighter with it, cupping his hand over the flame out of habit even though there was no wind to blow it out.

"So where\'s your studio?" he asked conversationally.

Lazarus released Dominic; Orias didn\'t. Instead, he drew the mortal gently closer and shushed him, allowing the breath from his speech to run over his earlobe and neck. He didn\'t see humans on the same level as vampires. It was difficult to view them as equals after seeing so many of their lifetimes and cultures rise, only to crumble as swift human time passed them by. He hadn\'t developed the sadistic flare so many of his kind had, though. If Dominic didn\'t need to be in a state of heightened fear and panic, he would like to prevent that. There was no harm in making him anxious, making his heart pound a little. After all, that was why humans came here, and as the thought registered with him, he realized why he had thought Dominic might be strung out on drugs. For him, what they were doing to him was a drug, a dizzying addiction that he could not quit. Oh, but it was perfect... but if Dom was hysterical, or had gone glassy eyed with hysterical, well hysterical anything. For a moment, he cursed himself for his own addiction, for his eternal pursuit to immortalize humans in their brief, pulsing heat of true life.

"So you don\'t remember him," he said to Lazarus. "And it\'s both of you, or neither. My studio is on Acrilo Street." He might still bring Lazarus back with him alone, but it wouldn\'t be for a sculpture, so he held to his bluff as he held Dominic against him. He left enough room for comfort, but he didn\'t allow the boy room to escape. He let his eyes roam over Lazarus\' face while he waited for a response.

The combination of being released by Lazarus and hearing Orias state his address had a queer affect on Dominic; for a start, it settled his hysterical cackling.  Secondly, the instant Lazarus let go of him, he wanted to be back in the vampire\'s arms.  Stupid.  Thirdly, he felt eerily calmed by knowing where the other vampire lived, for it wasn\'t far from his place at all (though that should have made him more nervous, it made him feel more grounded and reassured, somehow).

Acrilo ran parallel to his street - well, not his street, but Michael\'s technically.  Dominic certainly didn\'t earn enough money to own an apartment in such a trendy area, but Michael was a successful property lawyer and he earned a bucketload of money.  He worked hard for it too, of course; there weren\'t many nights when he was home before ten, but Dom also worked hard.  Physical labour simply didn\'t compare to mental, it seemed (and just maybe there were other dynamics at play in the relationship, since they\'d met when Dom had come around to fix a broken pipe at Michael\'s place and ended up staying the night).

He\'d more or less moved in with Michael by their two month mark, but he still had his own shabby little apartment in the Cookie Cutter Flats.  It was becoming more of a bone of contention between the two of them, actually.  Dom didn\'t spend any nights at his own place, yet he refused to give it up, just in case things didn\'t work out - he\'d brought only his clothes and toothbrush to Michael\'s (his furniture really didn\'t go with the decor, frankly) so he explained the flat away as something akin to a storage unit.  It wasn\'t much more expensive, with the utilities no longer being used regularly.

Michael, naturally, didn\'t agree with him having his own place when they were more or less cohabiting (that was the word he\'d used, too); it was stupid and showed a lack of faith in their relationship, he claimed.  Dom knew it wasn\'t far from the truth, but he liked knowing he had somewhere else he could go if... well, if a night such as tonight came about.  If he didn\'t get home soon, he\'d certainly be out on his ear and needing to find somewhere else to lay his head.  The irony of it all was that he would drive down Acrilo Street on the way to Michael\'s place, and the two vampires would only be around the corner from him.

And that didn\'t bear thinking on.

"Ha!  Michael\'s place is near there.  He was expecting me home a while ago - and he\'ll be really pissed if I cheat on him, so I really need to decline your offer, man.  Sorry," Dom said, managing to sound regretful as he raised his right hand in a cupped shape, ready for Orias to thrust his own hand sideways into the curve of it so they could squeeze hands gangster style (Dominic really wasn\'t one for shaking hands the normal way).  His hand hung in the air, waiting for Orias to acknowledge him and then let him go - hopefully he used the hand that was still wrapped around him, as a show of faith.

The mortal youth was the real prize Lazarus was after.  The vampire wasn\'t close enough to a fledge to interest him, and not old enough to be interesting.  Now that Dominic (whose name Lazarus had no idea of) had left his giggles behind and was speaking normally, the blonde Ancient took hold of his outreaching hand by the wrist, pulling on it slightly to draw the youth\'s gaze to him.  Once he had his stare, he smiled and spoke past the cigarette on his lips, causing it to waggle as he sounded consonants and vowels around it.

"You mean to say you\'ll be leaving without even one drink?" Lazarus prompted, speaking not of alcohol for the mortal but of the red ambrosia that sustained him.  His free hand moved to the mortal\'s neck to softly stroke the skin there, pleased to see it prickling into gooseflesh.  "For an old friend," Lazarus added, prompting the memory of them both together, since the mortal had seemed worshipful of him when telling the artist who he was.  He let Dominic\'s wrist go, just because he was fairly certain he could con the boy into joining them \'just for a drink\', which would turn into whatever Lazarus wanted.

Just like that, Lazarus had Dominic\'s attention again, and he was staring at the blonde demigod with wide, desiring eyes - his eyelashes fluttered with awareness as his neck was touched, though, and being called \'friend\' by the man who\'d taken his virginity only added weight to his desire to surrender.

"I... no, I really sh-shouldn\'t, I probably should... g-get home... he\'ll... worry," the mortal stuttered, trying to look away from the magnetic grey eyes before him (and failing miserably).  "It was a b-bad idea to come in here.  I should\'ve just driven home... I\'m so sorry to cause trouble," he apologised, looking appropriately contrite as he completely ignored Orias.

"Let him know you ran into an old friend," Orias suggested, keeping Dom close to him. "Better yet, you could let him know that tomorrow. No need to go into the details."

He started to move towards the door, drawing Dominic along with him, but not forcing him. If the mortal really resisted, he wouldn\'t force him towards the door, but he wasn\'t about to release him, either. He hoped Lazarus would back him up.

"The two of you are the perfect match to be immortalized in sculpture," he commented, hoping to gain the older vampire\'s interest.

So far the whole sculpture thing was secondary to Lazarus\' primary curiosity about whether or not the artist would be able to talk the mortal into going home with him.  Lazarus had released his wrist about the same time Orias had pulled him closer, in order to take the cigarette out of his mouth to blow out smoke, and then clamping down on it again so he could walk alongside the pair, checking on the progress.

Predictably, Dominic was ushered along with the vampire, a little dazzled by having his attention dragged from Lazarus to Orias and stumbling slightly as he was moved, so that he had to hang onto the vampire.  He was okay with being led toward the exit, really, for he was going that way anyway.  They could simply separate at their vehicles.

"No, I really can\'t," he argued, doing his best to sound calm and apologetic.  "He gets anxious, if I don\'t call him and tell him what\'s going on before he takes his sleeping pill, he wouldn\'t sleep at all!" Dom explained, inadvertently letting them know that he could call Michael and reassure him.  He could also return at any hour of the night and his lover would have no idea when, for he would be in a drug-induced sleep that lasted \'til morning - it was the only way such a high power person could do such a high power job and sleep at night.

Orias overlooked the details inherent in Dom\'s monologue and instead identified the source of his excuses: the boyfriend. He turned to Lazarus as he put another arm around Dominic, and all but turned the hang into a carry. Sure, Dominic\'s feet were still on the ground, and he was still moving them, but his steps weren\'t quite in perfect synchronization with the rate he was moving.

"What would you say if we could help your boyfriend be more agreeable to you spending the night out with a friend?" he asked, speaking as though he was addressing Dominic, but he was looking straight at Lazarus. "There are ways that such things can be arranged, I imagine."

He was feeling like he was getting a bit too bent on the idea of these two, and he didn\'t want to force the situation, but he hadn\'t reached the point of spoiling it just yet. Much more resistance from either, and it would tear it. He\'d give up and go eat someone, go home to jerk off, and go to sleep for the day. For now though, if Lazarus would call someone to alter Dominic\'s human companion\'s mind, it would make everything so much easier.

Lazarus, who didn\'t have any mental abilities whatsoever (and even if he did have, the gaudy amethyst ring on his finger now blocked anything he would\'ve managed) saw the simpler side behind the mortal\'s words.

If I don\'t call him, he\'ll worry.

Pulling a face at Orias like he\'d just grown an extra head, he moved with the pair until they got to the exit and spoke before the mortal could reply to the other vampire\'s suggestion.  Fucking hell, he needed to know their damn names.  Why were people so fucking rude nowadays that they didn\'t introduce themselves?  If there was something Lazarus liked, it was a great introduction.

"So call him and tell him you\'re working late," he said, swanning in front of them and clearing the exit so that the three of them were now outside, in the fresh air, and away from the thrum of the club.  "Where\'s your phone?" he prompted the mortal.

Dominic stared very blankly at Lazarus for a moment, his hand going to his pants pocket to betray the whereabouts of said device, even though all he said was a very intelligent, "Uhhh... " while he thought it through.

The fresh air helped - as did not having anyone forcing him to be or move somewhere in particular.  He felt freer, without the two of them hanging onto him, and more and more in touch with his usual set of intelligences as this played out.  The hysteria was long gone and, in its place, was the overwhelming desire to please Lazarus - a very dangerous replacement if ever there was one, but there indeed.  The touches to his neck, the initial embrace, the memory of Lazarus being his first (and best ever) lover... these thoughts were persuasive and prominent once more.

"I guess... I should call him anyway," he muttered, and withdrew his phone from his pocket, flipping it open and pressing obviously familiar buttons with his thumb.  He wondered, as he brought the small device to his ear, whether they were now exposed enough in the night air for the two vampires to hear both sides of the conversation and believed (informed somewhat by past experience) that they would, which just made him extra nervous.

"Hello?"
"Hey honey, it\'s me-"
"Dominic!  Where are you?  I\'ve been worried sick!"
Dom shuffled sheepishly on the spot there between the vampires, glancing at them and then turning his back to them as best he could.  He rubbed the back of his neck with the hand that wasn\'t holding the phone while he continued his conversation.  "Yeah, sorry, I should\'ve called earlier-"
"Damn right you should\'ve, you know I\'ve got a big deposition tomorrow!"
"I\'m sorry, sweetie, it\'s just one thing led to another and the guy - I got the job by the way - well, the boss was on his way out and wants me to come to do plans tomorrow night but then we got to talking and he invited me to come out with him to this bar and-"
"I thought I could hear music in the background," Michael said tersely.
"Yeah.  Sorry.  I came outside to call \'cos I only just noticed the time and I figured you\'d be wanting to get to bed and-"
"Yes.  An hour ago, in fact."
"Yeah, sorry, really!  Look, you just take your pill and head in.  I won\'t be long, promise, and I\'ll be there tomorr-"
"Make sure you don\'t jostle the bed when you come in, you know how I hate that."
Dominic laughed good-naturedly, as if him jostling the bed was actually a secret game he played just to piss Michael off.  "Okay honey, I won\'t.  Sleep well and I\'ll see you in the morning, \'kay?"
"I love you, Dominic."
"Me too.  Sweet dreams," the youth responded and flipped the phone closed.

As he spun back slowly around, the hand that had been massaging the back of his neck through the whole conversation crept up to smooth over his hair.  He was blushing as he glanced from one vampire to the other, looking up at them from beneath his eyebrows.  "I... uh... guess I could, uh, follow you to your place for a... drink, then?" he mumbled, his gaze holding on Orias long enough for him to be sure the message was relayed, then he looked back at the tall blonde.  "You want to ride with me or Orias?"

Lazarus was extremely pleased.  If pleasing Lazarus was what Dominic had wanted to do, then the phone call was a great first start to that.  Smirking at Orias (and still not knowing his name), he listened in to the conversation to see what would become of their night, and with all the sweeties, honeys and love-you\'s, he couldn\'t help but pull a face at the back of Dominic\'s head before turning and then making a gagging face, highlighting it with his index finger poking at his open mouth.

When the conversation came to a close, Lazarus stopped his mocking and returned to his smirking, taking note that Dominic (whose name he now had, thanks to his lovey-dovey boyfriend) hadn\'t said he loved him back but rather finished with a \'me too\'.  He could use that, if he needed to, later.

"Love, my ride\'s with you," he said meaningfully, finally finding out the name of his vampiric companion.

The innuendo had Dominic blushing and fiddling with his hair even as his other hand slid his phone into his pocket and came out with his truck keys.  He looked at Orias, knowing his cheeks were flaming and unable to do a thing about it.

"My truck\'s around back, where\'d you park?  I\'ll follow you, \'kay?"

"Sure," Orias grinned, recovering from laughing at Lazarus\' antics during the phone call. "I\'m in a blue Toyota. I\'ll make sure I don\'t lose you at lights or anything. Try to keep up."

With that, he fished his keys out of his pocket and strolled off to his car, chuckling with happy satisfaction at the way events were beginning to turn out.
