The Two Liner RP

[Trillian]

"I\'m trying to decide," he said after nodding at her thought-provoking name.  "What do you think I suit?" he asked after holding out his hands and spinning around slowly for her benefit.

[Harlequin]

Sachi laughed, then, a little shocked by his declaration; how did someone not know their own name?

She played along, though, adopting a classic chin-in-hand thinking pose as he twirled, "I think you look like a Jonah," she said, "Or maybe a Seth."

[Trillian]

He screwed his nose up, even though he smiled at her.

"Too Biblical, try again."

[Harlequin]

"Those names are from the bible?" She seemed genuinely surprised, but tried again gamely, "How abooout...Stefan, or Caleb?"

[Trillian]

He didn\'t like the third choice she had for him, but Caleb was enticing.

"Caleb," he sounded out, testing the name on his own lips, while surveying her reaction.

[Harlequin]

She nodded eagerly, glad to see she\'d pleased him, "Yeah. It\'s dignified, but still kinda fun, y\'know?"

[Trillian]

"What\'s its origin?" he asked her, leaning back against the handrail.  He looked  like an advertisement for casual clothing.

[Harlequin]

That stopped her cold, and she frowned, "I knew a kid in high school named that," she offered, "You have the same nose."

[Trillian]

Caleb sounded like a Biblical name as well, but it was hard to avoid the Bible when giving out names.

"You can\'t give a man a name unless you know its origin," he said with a warning smile, not really caring if she knew origins or meanings, but it was something to tease her with.

[Harlequin]

She took the bait, looking slightly helpless.

"Well, it\'s your own fault for making me name you," she pouted.

[Trillian]

He laughed.  "Now that you\'ve missed your friend\'s makeup session, what are your plans for tonight?"

[Harlequin]

It took her a moment to think about that. There was that party at Josh\'s, buuut–"You know, I don\'t really have any," she chirped.

[Trillian]

He mused on her asking a lone vampire the time, though she might not have known what he was until he\'d turned to face her.

"I\'ll buy you a drink," he offered.

[Harlequin]

Sachi wasn\'t of age, but she knew the club didn\'t abide by the mortal world\'s rules regarding alcohol, "Okay!" Her smile returned as she agreed cheerfully.

[Trillian]

His chin lifted slightly while he made eye-contact with a waitress and he ordered a Malibu Dream for his newest friend.

"I hope you like pineapple."
