Mimic Demons

Note: All Mimic Demons have left the Earthly plane.  However, it is possible that one or two might come back for whatever reason.  Character sheets have to explain this reason.

Appearance:

Demon Form
In their natural form, Mimic Demons are pure white, hairless and sexless.  As an adult, they range from six feet to seven feet tall (though there are exceptions of up to one foot either side of those amounts, as with most species) and have a humanoid shape.  They have no sex organs whatsoever; their pubic region only has a sculpted bulge over the minimal protuberance of their pelvic bone.

Mimic Demons have strong, heavy frames covered with rope-like sinew and thick, rippling muscle.  Their powerful legs are bent forward from the knee and end in heavy hooves, like the mythical satyr's legs do (though the Mimic Demon legs are hairless).  Broad barrel chests lead to strong arms that end in hands with long, tapered fingers.  They have curved, vicious claws that could rend steel with one swipe on each of their four fingers and thumb.

Human Form
Mimics pass flawlessly for human insofar as skin tone, texture and body temperature go, but they are excessively large and always have extraordinarily deep, gravelly voices that hint towards their supernatural stature.  They will always appear as human males, despite being sexless, though their apparent age varies.

Abilities:
Though they have some unique abilities of their own, their greatest is their ability to mimic the powers of any being they are threatened by, by immediately absorbing their essence.

Strengths:
As a species they are loyal to their own kind and have a pack mentality.  They are honour bound to protect and serve their own kind so it is difficult, if not unheard of, to get a Mimic to betray its brethren.

Weaknesses:
The clan leader makes the decisions for all, so should the clan leader make a terrible decision, they all follow it blindly, whether they agree with the decision or not.

General Personalities:
Generally they are slow to anger, logical and calm.  Reasonable and fiercely loyal.  They are honourable and stick to their given word.  If one Mimic Demon is wronged, then the entire clan takes offence.

Interesting Facts:
A Mimic Demon never ages and never dies, nor does it reproduce sexually.  When a Mimic decides it wishes to procreate - or end its existence - it goes into the creation caves in their native plane.  There, the demon assumes a stable position and turns into a rock-like formation that resembles a stalagmite, but is actually a chrysalis form.  The demon is completely vulnerable in this state and so the location of the creation caves are both secret and well protected by the existing clan.  When the chrysalis breaks open, there are two demons, neither of which are the original demon and without their personal memories.  They would appear as child demons, and alerts the clan that they will need tutoring.  Usually the \'parent\' demon would have arranged a guardian beforehand.

Ageing:
Mimic Demons do not age and they do not die, until they choose to split.

Vampire Interaction:
If drunk from, a Mimic Demon will always feel 'zen' - a little harder to drink from but not impossible. The temperature of their blood is cold and will have a sickly sweet flavour to a vampire's palate.
