Ken or Kenny…it was a common enough name, Georg supposed, for a human. He certainly didn't know of any vampires by the name, at least, and as much as he loved making Tom happy, he wasn't about to track down one of the myriad of humans named Ken or Kenny. Screw that, he'd wipe the pout off of Tom's face some other way. He could think of a multitude of ways, actually, none of which were suitable for a place like this.

"I got nothing," he explained to his lover, flicking his eyes between the two of them. He had a feeling that he knew exactly what was coming…

"Oh," Tom sighed, his lips twisting as he nibbled his lip ring. "Well…I guess you should give up for now, then…you're heading home? Do you have a ride?"

Yep. Exactly as he had thought, this Eric had wrapped Tom around his little finger, and now Georg was paying the price. After hearing about what had happened with the Oligarchy, he wanted nothing more than to take his lover home and explain everything that had happened--a luxury he had not had until Tom had become aware of what he was--yet it seemed Tom had other plans. Without a doubt, he was sure that Tom would have him driving the unfortunate human home before long.

He thought of the possibility of feeding from this one, since he hadn't fed since the night before last, and he had no wish to drain his lover overly by accident. He knew that he could go longer, though, should he absolutely need to--he could always take a bit from his lover should he need to, after all.

Ransom wanted to lie and tell the stranger he had a ride so that he’d be left alone. But some people he knew could tell when you were lying because of facial muscles and tone of voice. He didn’t want to upset Tom or Georg. Now that there were two seriously strong looking gay guys in his face he decided telling the truth would be best, hoping they’d lose interest and go do whatever people here do somewhere far away.

“Uhm, I don’t have a car so, um, I walk or take the bus,” He shrugged. Buses ran pretty late (if not all night) in the city so it was simple enough to catch one as long as you were at a bus stop that wasn’t in a shitty part of town.

“What, what don’t you have?” Ransom asked Georg with confusion on his face. After he asked he knew he shouldn’t have. But then again, he felt that way about nearly everything he said, even if it was the right thing. He just felt stupid for not understanding whatever lingo was being dropped and maybe it wasn’t lingo that he was invited to partake in. He didn’t exactly fit their scene in appearance or sexual orientation.

"Georg…" Tom began, looking pleadingly at the vampire. He knew for a fact that he would never have let his brother walk home at this time of night, and Georg knew it, too. He could already see the vampire crumbling, though he knew that this was probably the last thing the vampire wanted to do.

"I don't know anyone named Ken," the elder shrugged, looking at the human. He knew exactly what his lover wanted, and he hated the thought of letting some stranger into his car. It just wasn't on his list of things to do that night. Then again…if they did take Eric home, there was at least a chance that Georg might be able to snag a quick bite from him. The offer was tempting, for sure.

"Do you want a ride home?" the vampire offered, seeing Tom smile out of the corner of his eye. It wasn't a large one, but the corners of his mouth tipped up just so…and it was glorious. He could watch Tom smile all night and never get tired of it.

Tom, for one, simply beamed at his boyfriend for a few seconds before turning to await Eric's answer. He adored the way Georg always seemed to know what he wanted, even when he didn't always voice his thoughts. His lover was truly a dream come true.

"Yeah...you can't just walk home, it's dangerous at night," he voiced his own opinion to Eric.

Ransom nodded his head when Georg declared he didn’t know anyone named Tom. That made sense, it was good to know, but now he was ready to leave. He didn’t know what Tom was trying to get Georg to do by the strange way the male whined his name but he really didn’t care. He was uncomfortable and he needed to go home.

Now Georg was offering him a ride home. Ransom shook his head, declining politely. He was about to utter a few sentences as to why when Tom began to persuade him and he simply couldn’t insist against it.

“Uh…Okay, I guess,” Ransom shyly accepted the ride, looking to Tom and waiting to be escorted to a car or something. This was  a bad, bad idea. He didn’t know who these men were! What if they were serial killers or were going to beat him up behind a dumpster somewhere or kidnap him for some weird gang initiation?? He didn’t want these men to knew where he lived! What if they were to stalk him? But he’d already accepted, hadn’t he?

Ransom realized that instance he had accepted that offer much too soon out of politeness and he probably should have weighted how important his life was to him before getting in a complete stranger’s car. Still, even knowing and thinking all of these things, he could not will himself to say no. Instead he stood with a slightly frightened facial expression, waiting for his imminent death.

Tom grinned as the other man accepted, glad that he hadn't had to push too much. He supposed the real reason that he was doing this was because he desperately missed his own brother, and Eric's shy demeanor somehow reminded him of Bill. Of course, he could just go back, if only to check on Bill and see how he was doing. But then he would be drawn into his brother's destructive circle again, and it had been a year and wasn't that just a little bit awkward?

"Cool," he replied, reaching over to squeeze Georg's arm in thanks. His lover looked a bit less than thrilled, but Tom knew that he wasn't completely opposed to driving a stranger home, or he wouldn't have even offered at all, despite Tom's pleading.

"Where do you live, anyway?" Before Tom could finish his question, they were already walking towards the car, the human beckoning Eric to come with them. Georg drove a nice car, one that Tom had always loved. That was what had first attracted him to the man, aside from the way Georg had helped him restock the shelves for the price of a conversation. It was hard to think of his lover as dangerous when he had so effectively been swooped off of his feet by the vampire.

“The inner city block area.”

He gave them the same vague answer he’d given Brianna not too long ago. As he followed them out to the car, an impressive expensive looking vehicle in fact, he knew he couldn’t stop there. He’d have to give his actual address.  Looking at the car and back to Georg and Tom, now was the deciding moment. He’d never wanted to associate with any of them in the first place. But what would they do if he refused them? Were they actually going to take him home?

Ransom gave them his full address anyway and hopped into the car.

“Thank you…I…” He felt nervous, mind suddenly going blank.

“…I…thank you.”

He must have seemed so stupid repeating himself like that. Anxiety well up inside of him and he watched out the window as  they drove…hoping they’d take him where they said they were going to.

It was cute how he stuttered a little, as if unsure of himself, yet honestly grateful. It made Tom feel good inside, as if he were doing the man a favor despite the fact that he had insisted on it and likely wouldn't have taken no for an answer. He got into the passenger seat in front of Eric, his lover getting in the other side. Tom quickly latched his seatbelt, knowing well that Georg didn't exactly drive at a sedate pace.

"It's no problem, really," Tom answered, though the look on Georg's face said that he would much rather not be driving into the inner city block at all, especially in his well-cared-for car. Still, he didn't complain about the drive, instead seemingly resigned to taking a dumb human home to make Tom happy. They were there in no time.

"Which one is yours?" Tom asked as Georg turned off the car. It was obvious to him, at least, that the vampire wasn't about to half-ass the job. If Tom wanted Eric walked home, that meant walking him to the door, in Georg's mind. Tom always loved how very literally he was.
