Georg Mitchell
« on: September 15, 2012, 01:05:46 PM »
Name: Georg Mitchell
Age [appearance]: mid-twenties
Age [actual]:  66 years (born 1946)
Gender: Male
Species:  Infusco Vampire

Hair: Long, sandy brown and straight, flowing past his shoulders
Eyes: Jade green
Frame: Georg has a muscular body due to the long days he put in lifting weights in his garage when he was human. He appears to be somewhat stout, despite his 5'10 physique, weighing in around 163 pounds. He has a wedge-shaped body with broad shoulder and narrowed hips, his arms and legs both muscular. He does not have a lot of fat on his body, and has a squared-shaped jaw and a heavy-brow.
Tattoos/Distinguishing Marks: A scar on his lower back from an old bullet wound, made back when he was human.

Personality: He is warm and outgoing, a true extrovert that likes people. He tries to put on a show about being impassive and cool most of the time, but that's typically when he doesn't know the person well or feels he should keep the upper hand in a situation. He's a fast learner, very bright and intelligent;  he's also mature and emotionally stable, though that comes with age. He can be aggressive and forceful when he needs to be, but prefers to passively control things that he can. He does not like being out of control of his own body.

He's typically very lively around friends, and can at times be impulsive and unrestrained. He's self-indulgent and disregards the rules if he feels that he can get away with it without too much trouble. He's thick-skinned and uninhibited about most things; he also has an objective, utilitarian mindset that he learned in the army. He is fairly vigilant and skeptical of people, another trait he learned in the army that he never quite got rid of. He's fairly discreet and private about his own affairs and others, trying to reserve judgment on others.  He doesn't like change, though he's very resourceful when it does come. He's fairly patient, though of course that comes with years of practice.

History: He was born Georg Harrison Mitchell in a small town in Vermont, 1946. He was fairly common as a child, though he was always active. His father served in the army, which meant that he and his mother moved around a lot during a his childhood. His mother stayed at home for the most part, though she traded her skills as a seamstress for many people in whichever small town they were in.

When he was fifteen, they decided to stay in the town they were in, a small town in Vermont called Maple Grove. The family remained there for a few years, longer than they had stayed in any other town. Just when he had begun to make his own friends and truly get used to the town, something he had tried to avoid in order to spare himself the hardship of getting acclimated only to move again, his father was deployed once more. Rather than go with them, however, Georg begged to stay in the town, and eventually his wish was granted. He was permitted to move in with his friend Hugh to finish out his final year of high school.

Once he graduated, Georg and Hugh got an apartment together in Montpelier as they tried to make their way in the world. Georg got a job as a mechanic, and was happy for a while. Things changed, however, when the owner had to shut the shop down and went bankrupt. He managed to find another job in the city, though it didn't pay nearly enough to cover his living expenses, forcing him to steal parts and sell the metal to cover his bills. He was caught, naturally, and sent to court, where the judge gave him the option of incarceration or joining the army. He was in his twenties at this time, and figured that the army was preferable to going to prison. He only found out later how wrong he was.

It was 1969 and he was sent to Vietnam as part of the 75th Ranger Infantry Regiment, ordered to help recover friendly prisoners of war. During a raid, however, he was shot in the back. It was severe enough that he was sent back to the United States for medical treatment. He was extremely lucky to walk, as the bullet had narrowly missed his spine and other essential body parts. It was six months before he had recovered enough to go back to active duty, but by that time he had already decided that he had had quite enough of the army. He deserted, buying a car and heading for Vegas to get lost in the crowd.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't make there. One of his various hookups on Route 66 involved a vampire who felt a little bit lonely. Convincing a drunk Georg rather easily to get into a bit of kink, the vampire took full advantage, turning Georg that night. Georg woke up with a boyfriend and the horror of realizing that not only were vampires real, but he had just joined their ranks.

Georg traveled around with his sire for a while before they parted ways. He picked up a steady string of one-night stands, though he never desired to turn another. Eventually, he came to the city, perfectly content to be on his own for a few more decades, at least. That was until he met Tom, at least.

A normal grocery run for a few late-night dvd rentals had thrown Tom into his face, and from that night Georg was hooked. He couldn't get enough of the mortal, it seemed, and all too soon, he found that he was entangled in the other man's life. Not sure what to do, exactly, Georg succeeded in hiding his vampirism from Tom for two years of dating before his boyfriend found out about him.

Late that night, Georg met up with Tom, promising an explanation. He wasn't sure exactly what he was going to tell him, what he could tell him, but somehow he managed to explain what he could. Realizing that he didn't want to let Tom go--nor did he want to turn him, at least at that point--he made Tom an offer, wanting him to move in. While reluctant to leave his overly-dependent brother, Georg convinced Tom to stay with him. They went and registered as a couple with the Oligarchy to make everything official, and Tom has been living with him ever since.

Awareness of Supernaturals: Has learned a bit about the majority of other supernaturals--enough to know that he should probably stay away from anyone that isn't human or his own kind. He isn't ignorant, but he doesn't seek out knowledge, either.
