APARTMENT 23Cicero has organised a new place for himself and Ami to live. Apartment 23 is on the sixth floor, in a building where there are ten floors and four apartments on each. A lift opens into a shared corridor which forms a square neatly around the lift in the middle. To get to apartment twenty three, a person must turn to their right and enter the second door they see. An electronic keycard must be entered beneath the handle for it to turn. There is no digital keypad for combination codes. The keycard is the only access. Both Cicero and Ami have one.
The apartment was already furnished when they entered it, and only the second bedroom bed has been replaced with another Queen size, for Cicero to sleep in. Ami has been given the first and bigger bedroom.
Cicero has entered into an arrangement to live here. He owes the Kuei Jin community exactly ten favours.
