He liked being close to Emil like this, his cheek on the other's shoulder. He wished Emil would wrap an arm around him, but then again beggars couldn't be choosers--this was good enough, at least for now.

He listened as Emil spoke, wondering what 'years and years' meant to the vampire. Lamar looked like he was only in his mid twenties, and if he had only been feeding for five years…well, five years didn't exactly meet the 'years and years' mark. Still, he supposed that Emil still knew Lamar much better than Bill did.

"Maybe he's afraid of falling in love," Bill quipped, closing his eyes briefly as he remained surrounded by the comfortable feeling of being with someone else, of having pleasant company.

He could tell that Emil didn't like the way Lamar was, but was powerless to tell him to go away for whatever reason. Perhaps it was loyalty to Lamar that made him like that, or because he just didn't like to tell people to go away. But even Bill could tell that Lamar's actions were upsetting Emil, if not hurting him.

"It sounds like he's running away from something, I mean." The boy nuzzled into Emil's shoulder, giving comfort as much as seeking it.

Was Lamar afraid of love? No, it couldn’t possibly be. They’d been in love once, Emil was sure of it. He couldn’t believe that whole thing had been a lie, although it had been a mistake on his part. It had been a bad lapse of judgment, indeed.

“I don’t rightly know.” He admitted, deciding that he’d spoken enough on the subject. It was getting to the surface of him and he didn’t want to upset Bill. Too, he was certain that any negative emotions he displayed had the possibility of upsetting Dylan. That was the last thing he wanted right now.

He hadn’t picked on that Bill’s aim was to get him alone and cuddle, yet. Thus he took a glance at Bill and realized yet again that he didn’t look the most comfortable. After eating sticky pancakes he was certain that Bill needed a shower and a new pair of clothes. Bill was too tall to fit into his own clothes, but Lamar’s clothes might fit if he could find the right pair. With as much as Lamar borrowed his things, he was certain he could afford to borrow some of Lamar’s.

“Now, as I recall, you didn’t quite answer my question from earlier, sweetheart. Did Lamar end up giving you something clean to change into last night? I don’t think whatever it was is suitable to wear during the waking hours. I can get you something clean to wear for tonight, if you’d like to get ready and bathe in the guest bathroom.”

He knew that Bill hadn’t changed his clothes last night, and not from memory alone. Clothes tended to have a stench to them once they’d been worn for a certain amount of time, especially to the supernatural senses. Human sweat and fluids just loved to cling to material. He’d known Bill had had sex by the time he’d seen him in the morning because the scent was all over him. Emil was too polite to mention it, but he did think that Bill could really use a shower at the moment.

Bill blinked as Emil changed the subject, realizing then that he probably reeked to Emil’s senses. He had washed his face in the bathroom earlier, but it was certainly no match for a shower, and he knew that. Smiling sheepishly, he pulled away, sitting up a bit straighter on the couch.

“Oh…yeah, he did. They were a bit big, though,” Bill commented, though in fact he had barely worn the clothes. He hadn’t really had a chance to, honestly. “A shower sounds really nice, though…you really don’t mind?”

Bill knew that Emil probably preferred him to take a shower, of course, but he didn’t want to take the offer for granted. Andi had certainly never extended Bill the use of his shower after a long night, and he was just about the only friend Bill still had left. It was amazing how many people had simply drifted away once his brother has disappeared.

Emil couldn’t believe that Bill was confirming to make sure it was okay that he used the shower. He’d just been offered it, after all! Emil couldn’t fathom what kind of person would offer something as simple as a shower and when it was confirmed, decide the guest couldn’t use the shower after all.

“Why of course I’m sure, pookie! I’ll get you some clean clothes and hopefully I’ll be able to find something that fits better!”

Bills size was probably on the slimmer side and it wasn’t that Lamar was fat persay but that he was muscular and a few inches shorter than Bill, which made all the difference. He’d try to find some of Lamar’s hip hugging pants and tight t-shirts if possible.

Standing up, Emil proceeded to do just that. He’d vanished in supernatural speed but hesitate as he got to Lamar’s door, weary of invading his privacy.

He isn’t here so surely he’ll never know if I poke around-

He found those familiar thoughts creeping up and dismissed them, finding a tight black clubbing pants and a scarlet colored wife beater that shouldn’t have been able to fit Lamar; it was probably skin tight. He knew it would normally be paired with a leather jacket and such, but he didn’t feel comfortable lending that out to Bill. These two clothes items could be replaced easily. If he wanted to he could probably buy replicas while he was out tonight and stuff them in Lamar’s closet; he would never tell the difference.

After a couple of moments he was back in front of Bill with the clothes. Underwear and socks, though necessary, had not been something he’d brought simply because most people didn’t want to wear someone elses’ socks and underwear unless it was of their lover. He supposed that Bill and Lamar were lovers, but it seemed ,they were at odds at the moment.

“This way to the bathroom, dear,” Emil announced as he led Bill down the hallway until they did reach the bathroom. He stretched out the clothes for the boy to grip and gave a smile. Night would fall soon, and when it did, he could take Bill home and get out of the house instead of being cooped up like he was now.

It took a little longer than Bill had expected for Emil to return with the clothes, given his supernatural speed, but then he supposed that Emil had had to find clothes that would actually fit him, too. He gratefully accepted them with a smile after following the vampire to the bathroom.

"Thank you," he commented graciously, leaning in to peck Emil on the cheek before he closed himself in the bathroom.

The previous day's clothes quickly fell from his body as he all but dove into a warm shower. He was sure that Emil was probably going to see to Dylan now, someone who Bill still wasn't sure he liked. He did feel a bit guilty for monopolizing all of Emil's time, Bill realized with a pang, especially since Dylan probably needed Emil as much as he did. Still, Bill couldn't deny how nice it was to cuddle someone and feel wanted again.

He took a deep breath as he washed the hairspray out of his hair, the shampoo and soaps both of a higher quality than ones he normally bought at the drug store. It was obvious that Emil pampered each and every guest in his house, and Bill absolutely loved it. He hadn't been in a hotel since he was a kid, but he was sure that this was what one must have been like.

Giving a small smile to himself, he turned off the water and began to dry off, wrapping a towel around his hair as he dressed once more. The pants were almost exactly the right size, though a bit shorter than he would have liked. The shirt, though, hung off of him a bit, though it was certainly not as oversized as the clothes last night.

Wringing his hair the rest of the way out, Bill found a hairdryer and immediately began to use that, not wanting to walk around with wet hair. He supposed that it would be getting dark soon and Emil would want to take him and Dylan home then. A pity, really, as Bill wouldn't mind sitting on the couch and watching a movie or something with Emil. The past day had been almost heaven for the deprived young man, but he knew that all good things must end, after all.

Finally satisfied with the slight dampness of his hair, Bill did his best to return the bathroom to how it was, folding the towel and hanging it back up neatly to dry. He fiddled around the cabinets for eyeliner, but didn't see any after a cursory glance. He almost felt naked without it, so used to wearing it as he was. Still, Bill put up a brave front and finally stepped out of the slightly foggy bathroom in search of Emil and most likely Dylan.

By the time Bill had stepped out of the shower, Dylan was gone.  Emil had planted himself in the living room, eyes glued to his Blackberry as he texted away.  He could hear when Bill stepped out of shower, as well as when he was blow drying his hair. When the young man finally exited the bathroom, Emil called out to him,

“I’m in the living room, darling!”

With the sun setting, soon he’d be able to take Bill home. He supposed that Bill might have been restless by now; it was distressing for Emil that he couldn’t take Bill home and it probably was equally frustrating for Bill to be ‘stuck’ here with him. Although, Bill wouldn’t want to go home, would he? He had problems with his father and with his brother gone Emil could imagine that home had become a place of grief. For a moment the vampire wondered where Bill went when he didn’t want to go home. Did he stay at friends’ house like he had done this past night, or did he just wander from place to place avoiding it?

Smiling a little at Emil's call, Bill exited the bathroom fully and rejoined the vampire in the living room. He had snuck a peek out the window (carefully replacing the shades, of course) and knew that it was nearing twilight already. Soon Emil would want to take him home, and Bill would have to go, because he had been here all day and it would be rude to ask to stay longer--he had imposed enough. Besides…someone had to do the dishes and clean the house.

"And a very nice living room it is!" he grinned, walking over to plunk himself down beside the texting vampire. His cheek drifted onto Emil's shoulder as he pressed up against the vampire, slightly hugging him. Emil was a touchy feel guy, and Bill was a cuddle monster…it was perfect, really, and he was sure that Emil didn't mind a bit.

It was amazing how comfortable he was with the vampire in such a short time, but Emil's personality warranted that, really. He smiled as the vampire continued to text, sitting up after a few seconds.

"Where's Dylan?" he asked curiously.

Emil looked up to Bill, a bit surprised at what he saw. The boy looked completely different when his hair wasn’t ‘done’ and he supposed that was his fault for not packing the right supplies for Bill to use. He’d have to correct that.

“Oh, Dylan? His boyfriend took him home.” It had been rather unexpected as well, but it was evident that Dylan hadn’t wanted to waste the day around in a boring house and now that he thought about it, he was certain that Bill was sick of it too.

“And in that light, pookie, I think I should be taking you home!” As Bill had showered and readied himself, night had fallen.

Emil reached into his pocket and pulled out a paper with ink handwriting in cursive. He extended the paper to Bill.

“Mmm, here’s the recipe I promised you. Too, sometime you out to tell me what hair products you use! I didn’t realize that you weren’t going to have them here and I like to make my guests as comfortable as possible. When you stay over again I’d like it for  you to have what you normally have to get ready.”

For, he assumed that Bill would be staying over many a night after this occasion.

Most did.

Dylan had a boyfriend? That was news to Bill, though in reality he could care less about Dylan's sexual life. He was far more concerned about his own, and more specifically, what was going on between him and Lamar. It seemed as though the answer to that was 'nothing at all', which made him feel rather used. On the other hand, he should have known better in the first place.

"Yeah, guess so," he agreed with a faint smile, though in honesty he wasn't keen on returning home. Still, at least Emil was actually escorting him home, and with any luck, would actually walk him up to the door. Inner city block wasn't the nicest place to live, but it was the place he could afford, with his father.

"Oh, thank you!" he replied, pleasantly surprised that Emil had actually remembered the recipe. "Um…I don't mind about the hair though, really…I wear it down like this when I'm at home normally, anyway."

He wondered if Emil had offered to be a gracious host (although that was very generous, considering the fact that he didn't intend to impose on Emil often), or if the vampire was trying to tell Bill that he preferred his hair styled at all times. Knowing Emil's personality, though, he was betting on the former.

"It's probably good for my hair to stay down," he added, tugging on a lock, almost nervously. "Don't want to draw too much attention to myself now, anyway."

After Bill had taken the recipe, things seemed to be wrapping up. Emil had enjoyed his time with Bill but quite frankly- he was a bit anxious to get out on the town and he didn’t know if Bill was in the sort of mental state to do that. Surely with the news of other beasts out there and whatever relationship problems he was having with Lamar, Bill might want to escape with some other friends or spend some time alone.

“Well then, darling. I’ll take you home!”

Emil reached into his pocket to pull out his car keys, turning towards the front door. He’d take Bill home and where his evening went then just depended on where he to go out for the night.
