Jake half expected this greeting, this sort of thing often following young people in love who'd just gotten engaged. It was seemingly perfect for what had just taken place, symbolic but still correct. He took Ben's hand and descended the platform, thanking a few of the well wishers and smiling widely. He had one more surprise for Ben, something for him to do with all that energy that was making him so horny. They would switch rolls for the first time, if Ben wanted to of course. Jake liked it both ways, not slave to the dominant narrative of a lot of older vampires. It was all about pleasure, and he wanted to see his lover take charge, show him that they were nearing equals.

He led him through the carnival and found a closed attraction, a haunted house. Jake quickly detected nobody was inside, and with a bandit like flourish pulled he and Ben inside. "Come on," he told Ben, searching the silly melodrama that was this place. He found a gift shop with a long table full of swag. Pushing it to the side, he pulled himself up onto the table and ushered Ben to come close. "Think you can fuck me this time," he offered, doing his best to bring out the same greedy Ben, but in a different role.

Ben followed Jake, marvelling at the sights and sounds of the carnival and how much brighter everything was. This was like a sneak preview of what his vampirism would be like. He was enraptured by every small thing they passed - even the rubbish on the grounds themselves was captivating.

Jake surprised him with a quick turn. The light were off here but high windows let in swirling coloured lights so when Ben looked at Jake, his face was green, then blue, then orange, then purple, and then it cycled through over and over. Jake got himself into position and made his sweet, sweet offer. Ben's smile grew broad and devilish as he nodded.

"I would love to," he said, thrilled that Jake liked both positions. He stepped forward and kissed Jake deeply, liking that his lover was on the table instead of him, liking the knowledge of what they were about to do, liking that it would be different tonight - an extra special treat (and hoping that he would get the chance again, and often).

He broke the kiss when his expression changed into something thoughtful. "You brought lube?" he asked. Jake had planned all this out, so no doubt he was prepared for this too. He wanted to get started.

Jake found a flaw in his master plan. How had he forgot lube? He betrayed the error on his face, looking slightly uncertain and his mouth turning into a squiggle. He turned his head to look around the gift shop and saw a slippery looking lotion. It was better than thick oily Jergens and much better than in the old days. They had to use spit then. He hoped Ben might add to the “lube” a bit of spit. That would be hot. He pointed it out to Ben.

“That’ll work. It might start a little rough, but after we're moving we wont even notice.”

Besides, a little rough could be hot. He had a feeling Ben would be able to push through it.

Ben eyed the bottle and a look of uncertainty crossed his face. It didn't last long. He wanted to fuck - he didn't remember ever being this horny - and Jake was obviously up for it. There was a delayed moment as he stared at Jake, and then Ben was hurriedly trying to undress him, and himself, pulling off boots/shoes/shirts/pants.

Once Jake was naked enough, Ben pushed him by the shoulder to lay back, then ducked under his legs. He wrapped his arms around Jake's thighs and pulled him to the table edge, using his tongue on Jake's hole first. This was going to be memorable no matter what, but he wanted Jake to get horny every time he thought about this stolen moment in the gift shop. Ben tongue fucked him until his tongue, mouth and jaw felt achey and overused, and then lubed Jake up with the lotion. It wasn't perfect but as Jake said 'we won't even notice'.

After stretching Jake with his fingers, he was very ready to plunge into him. Ben felt like he'd been waiting forever, feeling uncomfortably hard the whole time.

"Do you want to stay lying back or flip over?" he panted, wanting Jake to at least dictate the position he was in for their first time in their swapped roles. Once he had his answer and they were ready to go ahead, Ben aimed himself and hoped he would have the patience to enter slowly.

He didn't, though he didn't just smash into Jake's body either. It was SO good and Jake's body had been prepped well enough for him that he'd slid in like a puzzle piece finding its way home. He groaned with the delicious feel and soon enough they had a rhythm going that seemed to fit them both just right.

Jake decided to stay on his back. He wanted Ben to see his good work, and his face would be a very clear indicator of exactly how good it was. As his hole was teased, Jake's face changed into something that resembled Ben being fed on, a hyper stimulated state that might suggest to Ben Jake started his sex life in this role, not the one he'd been taking up to this point. Every small step Ben took to get Jake ready made him moan, twitch, and look at Ben like he was an answer to a prayer.

The first initial thrust was a little painful, but Jake had much worse discomfort in his life, and it was replaced immediately by the pleasure of how Ben fit in him. Jake felt that puzzle piece like connection too, but knew it was as much their physical organs fitting as it was the blood they now shared, happy to connect with itself once more. It would always be like this now, hotter because of the bond. As Jake thrust, he'd find Jake sensitive and hyper stimulated. He had to place his palm in his mouth to muffle his moans of pleasure, and his eyes said both thank you and more in a single expression. "Harder," he said softly, wanting Ben to punish him a bit more than Ben might feel comfortable doing. His hands reached out to grab Ben's sides, but he was a bit too short, so so sat up a bit on the table, using his arms to support himself without having to make Ben exit. Now they could kiss if Ben wanted, or he'd at least get to his lover's pleased face up close, a greed that almost seemed to match his own. Ben might have a guess how Jake had reacted to the bite back in the day.

The angle change put a different pressure on everything and Ben succumbed to Jake's wishes, thrusting hard and getting a real satisfaction in it. Jake had crossed the pain/pleasure threshhold a few times since that time in the glass room, at Ben's insistence - though they were rare enough to be special. He didn't think he could manage that for Jake, and didn't even know if Jake would be into it. The begging for more hit a primal instinct in Ben that he hadn't known he possessed, he'd always thought he only like the 'punished' role. Apparently he was keen to be the punisher as well.

What did that make Ben, then? Sado-masochist? Whatever it was, Jake wanted it and he was willing to give it.

He did kiss Jake, and it was about as rough as the sex. Pressing mouths and battling tongues. He couldn't get enough. He hoped Jake didn't want this to be a quickie, because he felt like he could go forever. Of course he wouldn't, but right now, pounding away as hard as he could, there was something mechanical about it that kept the orgasm at bay.

Jake took the rough kisses and made sure his end matched Ben's, even biting his lip and sucking a tiny amount of blood from the wound. Ben was right to think he couldn't quite hurt Jake just yet. He had a stamina that was truly supernatural and one Ben would have too once he was a Ventrue. However, he liked Ben seemed dead set on trying to hurt him, and for today that was enough to give Jake what he needed. He dare not touch himself, for if he did he knew he's orgasm and he wasn't ready for that. He'd waited so long to find a man worthy enough to do this to him, and Ben was that worthy man.

His own rod bounced around and flopped on his stomach as Ben railed into him. It looked so sensitive, so ready for release and yet Jake held himself back. It might get to the point where touching himself wouldn't be needed to finish, a rare treat indeed, but they weren't quite there yet. Now Jake looked at Ben like he was the only man who'd ever lived and that he never wanted him to stop. He knew as a human eventually he'd run out of steam, but the vampire blood within him would let him go longer than he ever had before. That was fine with Jake. Quickies meant nothing for two people who were going to be bound together for eternity.

Until finally, Ben could feel the pressure mounting. He tried holding it at bay, but once it started building, it was over. He had time to warn Jake that he was close, hoping that they could arrive at their climax together. His pumping grew more erratic and he grunted as he finally came, spurting into Jake's body and sealing the deal.

He wasn't as out of breath as he should be, though. Jake's blood had done wonders for his stamina - though obviously couldn't keep his orgasm at bay. Still, he remained inside Jake's body and pressed his lips against all he could reach; mouth, cheek, chin, jaw. Holding on tight as his body settled down.

"Thank you," he whispered.

Jake finally let himself go, and finished alongside Ben, but it was indeed hands free, the building pressure making him blow. Jake was amazed at the result and it made him all the happier he'd let Ben drive the car so to speak. He reached his lips, as Ben desperately tried to kiss him. Ben looked amazing standing there, inside of his soon to be sire, and so full of life. Jake savored this image of Ben, as he knew once he was a vampire these moments would be changed forever. This is not to say Jake was having second thoughts. He was more resolved than ever to sire Ben, but now that he was so resolute it made need to face what Ben would be giving up. He hoped Ben understood all of this.

"No, thank you," Jake replied with a wicked grin. "I haven't had that in a long time, decades in fact," he said pointing to his rod. He would eventually push Ben out and used a silly beach towel for sale to clean himself up. He would leave a few hundreds behind as an apology for the damage they'd caused, and for the show any camera's might've caught. Once dressed, Jake would lead his pet home.

On the way back, Ben grew quiet as he observed the difference in the city's detail. He'd taken a lot of Jake's blood into himself (and it had been super gross - he'd forced it down the same way he forced down protein shakes he didn't like), and the change was impressive. He no longer felt sexually charged; that had been taken care of in the gift shop. As he focussed on the sharp quality that the world had taken, throwing colours and sounds at him that he'd never experienced before, he also took a moment to reflect on his relationship with Jake.

He was aware it was mostly sexual. Most of his time had either been spent fucking or learning about Jake's vampiric bloodline. There were no in-between moments, unless he counted the pillow-talk between them. He supposed he could, but most of the time it was about what it would be like for Ben as a vampire. None of it really focussed on him at this moment. Was he too boring, now? Was Jake more interested in his potential than his current state? Ben supposed he wasn't much of anything... just another pet, and now he was a ghoul.

He didn't particularly like that word. He'd always associated it with cemetary-stalking creatures and those who ate the flesh of the dead. He supposed drinking blood without being a vampire was pretty ghoulish (it had certainly tasted ghoulish), but he despised the association of the word with him. It was giving him extended life, enhanced senses, a connection with Jake... but the name felt wrong. It made him feel disconnected to himself.

Because of their blood sharing, those feelings of dissatisfaction curdled their path to Jake as he drove them home.

Jake had been happy and content with the evening, smiling silently as they made their way back. He'd taken things with Ben to the next level. To Jake, things in their relationship were going well, so well he had been fighting off stronger emotions then he thought he should have. Maybe that was the distance Ben inferred. Jake was afraid of showing more, afraid he'd be thought of as clingy or needy, and Jake didn't need anyone. He thought Ben was the same, and that it made them a pair. Two lone wolves who need each other was the image in Jake's mind, and so as their new bond passed forward Ben's feelings of dissatisfaction Jake frowned. He turned to Ben with a slightly concerned expression, eyes heavy, but mouth relaxed.

"What's on your mind mister," he tried to say as if it was totally normal to ask these things now. The bond would be new, and it was good to alert to Ben that the'd be sharing feelings now. He would try to take one of his hands, just lightly holding it.

Ben turned away from the window and looked at Jake, studying his profile and thinking he looked so much different now than he had when they'd first met. Nothing had changed except for familiarity and the gradual love that came from a growing relationship. Jake's profile and face had more meaning - he seemed less dangerous, more 'human' if that could be said. Ben's knowledge of Jake had changed him in Ben's eyes.

"You own me," he said. Funny, he hadn't really been thinking of the ghoul thing in those terms, but it didn't make it any less true. He didn't like the name, sure, but he liked what it did for him. He was sure to like being a fledged vampire, too. But that would no longer make Jake his owner, it would make him a peer. His sire, sure, and his teacher as well, but more of a peer than a mentor. They would be equals in status, if not in experience. "I'm a conquest," he said, then tried to smile like he was making a joke but it didn't sit right on his face.

He felt kind of like he was picking a fight, but none of what he was saying was wrong, per se. It just wasn't enough to fully verbalise the complexity of his emotion. They'd swapped sexual roles tonight, and he thought that meant a great deal, but it was still just... sex.

Jake listened and didn't fully understand at first what Ben meant at saying that Jake owned him. It wasn't until he said he was a conquest that Jake began to understand, or at least thought he did. He gave a weak smile of his own as Ben tried to make his critique sound like a joke, but they both knew it wasn't funny. He squeezed the hand he held tighter and made sure he looked into his love's beautiful eyes.

"I don't think of you like that," he said simply. He felt he needed to say more. "I have... a lot of very strong feelings for you. I think of you as a partner, not a conquest or my property."

It was obvious he was still holding something back, but he wondered how Ben would hear this part. Would he believe him? He used the bond to show Ben some of these strong feelings; affection, caring, protectiveness, and respect, keeping his deeper emotions inside for the moment.

It helped, that Jake said those words and also shared his emotions. Their new blood connection evidenced Jake's feelings in a way that had Ben overwhelmed and surprised. He was speechless. His concerns were still valid, though - because neither had revealed everything to one another. Ben hadn't made himself truly vulnerable, and he'd not seen Jake at his weakest point. He knew that all relationships didn't need that, might never get that, and still be strong... but it felt like they were still looking at one another's facades. At each other's masks of strength.

"But what about you? What were you doing before I came along?" Ben shifted in his seat to better look at Jake as he drove. "I haven't really seen anyone else in your life. You weren't just waiting around for me to come along, begging to be sired... but it seems like everything revolves around getting me ready to be fledged by you. When I'm working and studying, what are you doing?" He watched as Jake processed his words for a moment, then he asked with genuine curiosity: "When I'm finally turned, is this what it's going to be like? Feeding, training, fucking, repeat?"

Jake had been compartmentalizing Ben to one of area of his life. He knew it to be true. The Ventrue liked the control of having his life set up in different boxes. Business, Ben, Anarch stuff, etc., it was all better separate. But Ben was right. Jake needed to let him in and show him more of himself.

"I need to be more open with you," he admitted. "I don't have a lot of close friends because I'm really guarded. The fact that I have let you in as much as I have is scary, but you deserve to know more of me."

He was obviously anxious. "I have been laying roots when I'm not with you. I have people that are coming, my people. They should be here soon. I wanted us to have a place to call our own, and for the Oligarchy to know we're going to be a big force in this city. I am opening a bar that will serve as a meeting place for us. I was going to show it to you when it opened."

He considered this was a good place to stop for now. He didn't know a lot about Ben either, and hoped that if he was giving a little, he might get a little too.
