Luke seemed... beast like. Jake did recognize that look. He'd given it to humans he was about to feed from a million times. Was Jake Luke's prey? Why did that feel hot? Part of him wanted to indulge Luke's fantasy, and Riley's too. He thought about the three of them naked and touching. He saw himself on his knees, looking up at the solider boy. Then Luke touched him, and something happened that Jake did not foresee. When he looked at Luke's face, he saw Lazarus, and when he looked back at the hand it wore his old ring.

Ping. The doors opened, and Jake entered the subterranean hallway like it was the freshest air in all the world. His eyes were wide with discomfort and he looked at Riley like he was a stupid moron for his gross and inappropriate comment. The little shit would be getting a write up for this. He was supposed to be working tonight. Luke looked like he needed a release, and Jake couldn't fault him for that. It would not be him though. It  wasn't just that he wasn't quite ready for that kind of thing. It was also because he wanted to give Murphy and he a chance instead of ruining it before it began. The trial was one thing. Fucking Luke would've been another. He walked back to his room and pulled his phone out of his shorts, pulling up the human's number.

Hi. Hope I can see you soon. Thanks for sitting next to me yesterday.
Send.

He entered his room and took off his ridiculous outfit, tossing the shoulder pads lightly into the hamper. He fell back onto his bed, and it was then he realized how hard he was. How horribly annoying. He turned over, crushing it with his sheets. At least he got Luke laid. Hey, what were friends for right?
Be a sadist. Now matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them — in order that the reader may see what they are made of.
