Moving On
« on: May 05, 2019, 07:58:07 PM »
Murphy had got public transfer to the Luminary, so took the same route back to the White Rabbit. It didn’t take long at this time of night, with hardly anyone around to get on or off the bus. He stared out the window blankly, not really seeing where they were going, then almost missing his stop and having to scramble to push the bell and get off.

He knew Ben was going to be busy with a meeting about the new campaign, but wasn’t sure how long that was going to be going on for. Right now he wanted a few minutes to himself to settle in his mind how things had changed in the past couple of hours. How all his plans for the future had crumbled apart.

Murphy headed straight to the bar, and ordered a beer, then whilst the bartender was getting it Murphy ordered two shots of whiskey as well, downing them in quick succession before taking a pull on his beer. He pulled out his phone and flicked through it without really seeing anything and before long his beer was gone and being replaced by the man behind the bar who seemed to sense Murphy had been about to order again, and another shot. He glanced down at the phone again, scrolling through the comments on his article and frowning as he saw a couple aimed against Jake or Ben.

How the fuck had this happened? At the start of the night he’d been dating a cute boyfriend, had a friend who would be giving him immortal life, he’d written an article which loads of people were reading. Now Jake was busy with a new campaign, Ben wasn’t going to sire him because it was too complicated and some trolls were making reading the comments on his article a lot less enjoyable.

He gave a sigh and ran a hand through his hair before taking his waiting shot and finishing his beer.

Let me know when you’re done, I’m in the bar. X

Before he’d finished texting another beer and shot had appeared – damn, that was good service. He had the shot then told himself he’d drink this beer more slowly, making it last until Jake arrived, or invited him to the back rooms. He felt weird just heading back there without an invitation so early on in dating.

The meeting had gone reasonably well. Luke, Maria, Benny, Lisa-Joe and a few other trusted advisers had attended and provided council. There had been a needed catharsis of bitching about Ben doing this at all, and Jake was pleased to see it came from more than just him. Benny would start figuring out how to poll, as well as running analytics in the district for what was popular and what was not. Lisa-Joe would play the roll of talking head to the other districts, businesses, and important factions. Endorsements were important, and Lisa-Joe would gain them, as well as listen for gossip about his opponent.  Luke would talk to the security teams, and ensure they behaved. It was important to look as polished and just as possible. Maria would count the votes, as Keeper she held the census. It would give the campaign an idea of who they had in their corner, who Ben had, and who was still left on the table. The one thing everyone agreed on was Jake should not manage this campaign himself.

He had too many other things to focus on. He was still the Central District Leader, the head of the Anarchs, and had businesses to manage. He couldn't add another full time job on top of his many other commitments. There was also an unspoken energy in the room, and Jake hated feeling it as much as he hated agreeing with it. Jake wasn't the best person to sell himself outside of a speech or two. He was just too polarizing. They wanted time for his image from the west to recover, and so naming a prominent citizen to be his official campaign manager would help. He had one man in mind, Damien Evans.

He got Murphy's text, but didn't reply right away. First he pulled out his phone and wrote a quick email.

Dear Mr. Evans,

I hope you and yours are well. I would like to discuss a matter of business with you at your earliest convenience. Please let me know if and when this meeting should take place.

Regards,
JM

He sent it, and then replied to Murphy he'd be right out. He dismissed his war council, more or less happy with the results. It would be a long road, but once thing was clear. Ben had as many disadvantages as Jake did, and Jake had perhaps one or two more advantages. On the downside, Ben would make the most out of the west, and Jake feared a very negative campaign based on attacking him and the Anarchs. On the other hand, Jake had experience, and whatever could be said of it, it was actual experience running government. Jake has also managed to pay for the district's operation, and police it without the ward, which were no small feats. It guaranteed nothing, but it helped to stop the headache that came from the little shit's initial announcement. He had an oar in the pond. It wasn't a lost cause.

Jake found Murphy at the bar, the shot glasses and beer mugs indicating the human had been drinking. He also smelt like whiskey, hot and sweet coming from his breath. Jake wondered if this was just the human cutting loose, but that seemed unlikely. He swept into the chair next to him like a shadow, and placed a free hand on one of Murphy's. He looked adorable, but slightly downcast.

"Hello," he said, leaning in for a greeting kiss. "How were things," he asked as vaguely as possible. He didn't want Murphy to think he was fishing for information about Ben, but he did want his boyfriend to know that he cared about his day and his other interests outside their relationship. The bartender brought him blood disguised as a Bloody Mary. The fake celery sticks were a nice touch.

“Hey,” Murphy said, his expression brightening as Jake joined him and he leant into the kiss. He’d drunk the shots quite fast, so the full affect hadn’t hit him yet, but he was feeling a buzz.

“Bit shit,” Murphy said with a small shrug, but his face fell as he turned his gaze back to his glass, swirling the beer in the mug gently as he shoved his phone into his jeans pocket. “All that stuff we’d discussed, that’s not happening. I don’t know why I was surprised, I knew it was coming.”

He stared at his drink for a moment before turning his hazel eyes back towards Jake. God, he was gorgeous, and he wanted him. He didn’t need Ben. Yeah, he was a good friend, well… a good was pushing it a bit at this moment. Now Kerr was back Murphy knew he’d taken a back seat in the relationship.

“Can we take these back to yours? You can tell me all about your meeting,” Murphy suggested, resting his free hand on Jake’s knee and leaning towards him slightly. God, he was stunning, adorable, and he gave a shit. He could imagine a couple of things he would like to do to Jake right now and couldn’t do them in public.

Murphy was cute with a buzz. It was making him come alive a bit, and it wasn't excessive or sloppy. Jake listened as he explained his rough time with Ben. He wasn't shocked Ben backed out. It made him telling Jake that he was planning to do it right before the trial even more childish. The action sat well with Jake's general Ben theory. He just wanted all the toys so nobody else could have them. But Murphy wasn't a toy that you could just pick up and put down. Ben might eventually learn that Murphy might not be there the next time he looked.

Jake smiled encouragingly at the hand on the knee and boldly leaned over and kissed his neck suggestively, letting just the tip of his tongue massage the spot where he hoped his fangs would be soon. He smelt delicious, and the memory of how amazing he'd tasted rushed back to the vampire. He'd been eating like a real prince thanks to Murphy's blood. There was just one small change he wanted to make to the human's plan.

"We can go back, but let's not talk about meetings, or anything unpleasant...

Ben

... Let's just enjoy ourselves tonight." His voice was suddenly deeper, and his eyes looked serious and wanting. Jake wanted to get over what happened with Lazarus, and he finally felt like he could take the next step. Murphy made him feel comfortable enough to try. His hands ended up on Murphy's thighs, lightly rubbing them as he awaited his answer.

Murphy gave a murmur of enjoyment as Jake’s tongue drifted over his skin, loving the tingle it sent shooting through his body.

“That sounds perfect,” he agreed, lifting a hand to run down Jake’s cheek, admiring that handsome look in his eyes. Maybe it was pushing the problem to one side, but maybe that was fine for tonight. He slid off of his stool, stumbling slightly but Jake’s hands on his body caught him and Murphy pressed against him, enjoying that reassuring grip. Maybe Jake wouldn’t be here forever, depending on hundreds and thousands of interactions in the future, but he was here for now.

“Come on,” he said with a grin, grabbing his beer with one hand, then Jake’s hand with the other. His weaving through the crowd wasn’t quite as smooth as usual and he knocked into a couple of people, but nothing bad another to gather too much attention in a place like this. His beer was gone by the time they got to the entrance to the back rooms and Murphy deposited the empty glass on a table before they headed through.

As soon as the door shut behind them in Jake’s chambers, Murphy wrapped his arms around Jake from behind, running his hands over Jake’s firm abs through his shirt. He kissed Jake’s neck, nuzzling against him lovingly.

“You don’t mind getting a buzz from drinking from me tonight?” he asked, shifting his hips forwards to press against Jake. Maybe he should have checked before starting drinking, but tonight called for it.

The elevator ride down into the Rabbit Warrens - Luke's lovely nickname - was spent as one long, wet kiss, with hands exploring each other's bodies. Murphy didn't open his eyes once, and it seemed like for him only a moment had passed. That alcohol was showing up as more than just a buzz at this point. Jake was amused, but on some level he wondered why Murphy had decided to drink tonight. Had things with Ben really gone so poorly it drove him to get drunk? Part of him wanted to stop all the touching and kissing, but then he considered that maybe it was better to ask when he was sober. That way Murphy could express himself fully, without lady alcohol coloring his thoughts. Besides, he looked especially hot right now.

When he came around back and ran his hands down Jake's chest, the vampire tensed up, body freezing in Murphy's embrace. The last two times a man had come up to him from behind had been horrible experiences. He remembered his fight with Luke, the soldier's bulge on him as he struggled to be free. Then there was Lazarus. He'd loved to kiss Jake like this. His tension made his skin hard like stone. He tried to relax, but spun around with a smile on his face.

"I'm looking forward to it," he replied, hoping a buzz might take the edge off. This should be easy. Murphy was as sweet as sweet could be, especially right now. Jake wondered why he was uptight. He took off his shirt, hoping the movement would distract from his tense body.

Murphy felt Jake tense up under his hands and his stomach drop, as did his grin as Jake turned to face him. Jake was smiling, but there was something wrong and in his fuzzy state Murphy was struggling to work out what it was. With his recent discussion with Ben still fresh in his mind the tension felt like the start to another rejection.

“Are you?” he said, unable to keep the twinge of hurt from his voice. He couldn’t stop his eyes from drifting over Jake’s skin as his shirt fell away and he stepped slightly closer, despite his confusion. “What did I do?” he asked as he pressed his hot hands to the cool skin of Jake’s chest, unsure as to whether he should carry on, but desperately wanting to.

Jake heard the hurt, and saw it on the human's face. He didn't want Murphy to think this was about him, because it truly wasn't. He felt an expectation to preform, and that if he didn't Murphy might lose interest. Who wanted a boyfriend who couldn't have sex like a normal person? He'd pushed past this feeling with Lazarus when they'd had sex after the attack. It was one of the reasons Lazarus had used when he claimed he hadn't raped him. That word. Those memories. He tried to return his focus to the room and to Murphy but in the pit of his stomach he felt like he still wasn't ready. That wasn't going to stop him though.

He undid Murphy's pants and reached a hand in, finding his prize. He moved in and kissed Murphy's neck, preparing to feed. Perhaps that would get his juices flowing, and he told himself over and over again that Murphy wasn't Lazarus. This would be okay. Murphy was special.

"You didn't do anything," he whispered, feeling like his efforts were beginning to pay off downstairs. "I just want to taste you and I can't do that with you behind me."

Murphy's warm skin felt nice against Jake's cool flesh, and he felt another shudder, although this one a familiar signal of pleasure. It was odd that the body and mind could be on such different pages.

A quiet rumble of pleasure escaped from the back of Murphy’s throat as Jake’s hand cupped him, sending a chill up his spine and his eyes slid shut. He rocked slightly towards Jake as the vampire nuzzled at his throat and he lifted a hand to caress Jake’s cheek. Jake’s words somewhat reassured him, and his touch was a fabulous distraction from his worries.

“Come sit with me,” Murphy urged, reluctantly stepping out of Jake’s grasp so that he could lead him to the couch and he took a seat, pulling Jake so that the vampire would be on top of him, straddling him ideally but his mind was too fuzzy to allow him to arrange Jake with much accuracy.

“I’ve been thinking about this since the first time you fed from me,” Murphy said, his words slurring into one another slightly as he shifted under the shorter man, aware of his erection and longing for Jake’s touch again.

Jake smiled at the moan of pleasure from Murphy, watching his face turn into one of relaxation. It got him out of his head a bit, and he was happily lead to the couch. He sat on Murphy's lap and struggled to figure out what to do with his legs at first. Straddling him ended up being the easiest move, and so by luck and awkward positioning Murphy got his wish. He rotated his hips, massaging Murphy's crotch, while his hands pressed down on his shoulders. Jake smiled at Murphy's drunken confession. God he was adorable. Jake leaned and kissed him again, letting his massage tease the man. Jake wanted to feed, but wasn't quite comfortable just taking it yet. He made a note to ask him about that for the next time, but instead used his cute admitting to ask.

"I wonder what you'll think after this feed. You ready?"

This was going in one direction, and Jake realized that he'd gotten out of his thoughts. Maybe this could end up being great. Jake eagerly awaited his response.

Murphy took in a sharp breath against Jake’s lips as the smaller man ground against him, hitting just the right spot. His hands settled on Jake’s hips, enjoying the kiss immensely. Although they had stolen the odd kiss which lingered, this was a-whole-nother ballpark and one which Murphy hadn’t enjoyed for far too long.

“Yes, come here,” Murphy murmured happily, tilting his head to one side so his throat was exposed. His shirt was already loose around the neck – he vaguely thought how he should have taken it off when Jake did his, but he wasn’t about to stop this now.

“I don’t react quite the same way after a couple of drinks,” Murphy added as a gentle warning, as he skootched his hips forwards so he was leaning back against the cushions of the sofa more. Jake had only fed from him once, so maybe he didn’t have many expectations, but Murphy knew very well that his mellow mood which usually came from being fed from would be nowhere in sight tonight.

When Jake’s fangs sunk into his skin Murphy gave a quietly whimper at the sharp pain, which then faded into them warmth spreading through his body. One hand stayed on Jake’s hip, as his own ground upwards towards him, and his other hand slid up to curl through Jake’s hair, gripping gently as his breaths deepened. He moaned in enjoyment, his eyes sliding shut as he enjoyed the sensation of being fed from, his erection growing with each sweep of Jake’s tongue.

Jake continued his lap dance/dry humping, and felt the results pressing against him. He felt a shiver down his thighs and into his toes, and he wanted so much more of the human than he'd been content with in the past. He bit down, and wrapped his arms around Murphy's shoulders, enjoying the brief whimper of pain that relaxed into the sedated and horny state that came with feeding.

The sexual effect of the bite was new for the pair of them, and Jake found he like this reaction. He let the blood flow into him, using his tongue to catch any spill over and to massage Murphy's neck at the same time. Jake was still not over how superior Murphy tasted compared to the boy's he'd fed from recently. He felt ravenously hungry for some reason, and took as much as he dared without hurting the human. He might feel lightheaded after it was all over, and as Jake bit his tongue and sealed the wound with a lick, he pulled his head back to make sure he hadn't been too greedy. If they needed to take a break Jake wouldn't object, but he secretly hoped Murphy would want to keep going. Within a few seconds Jake felt the room go off it's axis and a certain feeling of exuberance. The buzz was nice and it helped with any remaining nerves.

He began to fiddle with Murphy's pants, feeling like they were both wearing far too many clothes for what was going to happen next.

"Want me," he asked softly, knowing the answer was yes, and hoping Murphy would take what he wanted.

As Jake drank, Murphy’s hand on his hip slid backwards to cup his ass, squeezing, kneading and pulling Jake closer as he ground upwards against the firm body straddling him. His breathing had deepened and he could feel the need building up inside him. He hadn’t wanted anyone like his for so long, in fact at that moment he couldn’t remember ever feeling lust like this.

As much as he enjoyed the feeding, Murphy felt relief as Jake closed his wound as it meant he could move freely again.

“Yes, so much,” Murphy replied with a grin, lifting both hands to cup Jake’s face, kissing him deeply again, unable to hold back any longer. He wriggled under Jake’s hands as the vampire reached for him and realised they were definitely not in the best position for going much further than they already had.

Murphy tightly gripped Jake’s ass and swivelled both of their bodies, rotating them and dumping Jake on his back on the sofa as he positioned himself over the smaller man. Murphy knelt up, undoing a couple of buttons of his shirt before he gave up on the rest and pulled the shirt over his head, dropping it on the floor beside them. He ran a hand through his hair as his hazel eyes drifted over Jake’s firm body in front of him.

“You are so fucking gorgeous,” he said, dropping his hands to undo his pants to release the pressure on his erection before he leant forwards, running a trail of kisses up from Jake’s navel up to meet his mouth again, seeking out Jake’s tongue with his own.

“How you feeling?” Murphy asked as they broke apart again as that he could focus on undoing Jake’s pants and starting to shuffle them downwards. He knew that any buzz from the alcohol wouldn’t last a huge amount of time for a vampire, but it was fascinating to watch the effect it did have for a while. Or at least it would be if Murphy wasn’t so focused on getting Jake’s trousers off him. Murphy shuffled around, swaying a bit and giving a laugh as he managed to slide them down, encouraging Jake to move his legs to assist before he could finally discard them as well.

Jake's own erection felt swollen and his body was becoming sensitive the more and more Murphy touched him. When Murphy made the move to lay Jake on his back, the vampire feared an alcohol based disaster. Lucky for both men the move went well, and he decided he liked the look of Murphy on top of him. He was tall, and while not muscly, had a firm and trim body that Jake touched with his available hands. It was a sexy figure, and Jake found a central ab line trying to hide, and ran his finger down it and towards Murphy's rod. Now one hand was firmly putting pressure on the base, while their tongues danced in one another's mouth. He was used to being praised by human lovers, but it meant more coming from Murphy. Jake guessed that was the affection he felt for him, hinting that this was more than just sex.

"I feel great," he admitted. "I was a little wound up before. Now I feel pretty mellow." He made a pretty smile.

"You're so incredibly sexy," he replied, hoping his compliment didn't just sound like a response to Murphy's. He really meant it and let a needy, greedy face show what his words stated. Now they were naked, and Murphy's warmth added another layer. Seeing where this would be going in few seconds, Jake pushed Murphy back and then rearranged himself on to his belly, legs dangling off the couch. His ass perked up slightly, hinting at the ultimate prize.

"There's some lube in my bedroom. In a second go get it for us please, but first..."

As he finished speaking he took his mouth and placed it on Murphy's rod, wetting the top and beginning to work his way down. He got to the base after a few seconds, not needing to breath being a major asset. He took one of Murphy's free hands and guided it back to his hair. It was up to the human what do with it. Jake wanted to give Murphy this focus, to show him he cared. The ghost of Lazarus popped into his mind for a moment. Hadn't Lazarus done this to show he cared? He pushed the thought away and focused on the task at hand.

Murphy gave a laugh as Jake pushed him backwards to rearrange him. God, it felt like they were on some sort of see-saw and with the amount he’d drunk it felt more like swaying that it would have otherwise.

His cheeks had flushed at Jake’s compliments and he let Murphy gaze wonder over Jake’s body as the vampire rearranged himself in front of him. He swallowed hard as Jake’s mouth closed around him, the breath catching in his throat. He’d never seen anyone take him in so far, a vampire who didn’t need to breathe, it was incredible to watch and even better to feel. He couldn’t quite focus solidly on any thoughts about what he should do with his body until Jake moved one of his hands and Murphy followed his guidance, curling his fingers through Jake’s hair gently. He didn’t feel the need to grab at him or push Jake’s head down on him, his partner was doing a stirling job without the need for Murphy to shove Jake around.

“Fuck, that’s amazing,” he breathed, unable to stop his hips from moving in time with Jake’s mouth. He knew Jake had mentioned about going to get lube, but currently he wasn’t included to go anywhere. His other hand lifted to stroke Jake’s shoulder, caressing attentively.
