Adagio replaced his hands on the hilt of his weapons and vanished them. Then he pointed at the angel-thing's face for poignance.

"You have until I fall in love. I will check back here every night until then."

Stepping back some more, Adagio spread his wings and ran parallel to the waves. A few strong flaps and he was gripped by the wind, pulled upward and disappearing from sight.

He was confused by the angel's time frame but watched as they left. He raised his left hand to his chest, almost to help contain how fast his heart was beating. What a terrifying experience.

One thing he knew for certain is that he needed to talk to Remi, and figure things out.

He pulled his cell phone out of his pocket, and requested an uber as he walked towards the parking lot for the beach. He wanted to be home after this confrontation, to give him a familiar place to calm down.
