"Noooo, that's," he sputtered another laugh through his teeth and shook his head.  "That's not what I mean, Jesus."  What the fuck?  He wasn't that thick.

"Just didn't realize you were signing up for all-out celibacy is all."  Yeah right, he'd be back for amazing sex in no time.

Now he was firmly confused and his brow furrowed as prove. His laughter made QUinn feel like he was missing out of some big joke and all he could do was wait until Jerry stopped fucking with him to tell him. "What are you talking about?" He demanded, annoyed that the vampire was still acting so childish.

Jerry squinted.  "You know," he gestured vaguely with one hand, "Cuz he doesn't fuck."  He hated having to explain a joke, it killed the funny.

Something molten hot burned through him, down his esophagus and into the pit of his stomach. "What?" It was the only thing he could come up with to say, blinking as if he didn't understand.

Malakai doesn't fuck?

Quinn thought back on Jerry's reactions. Celibacy, no-sex shit. The vampire's laughter that caused such powerful rage in him. Like he were missing some part of a joke. Angrily, Quinn turned back into his thoughts of kissing Malakai, reaching as if through some stream of former consciousness for proof that Jerry was an idiot.

They kissed, made out. They touched. It was all just new and they were taking things slow, right? That's why there was no urgency there. There was time and room for sex, but Jerry had ruined sex for a while and that was why, right? They wanted their own pace, that's all.

Quinn looked at Jerry furiously as something else occurred to him. "Like... what?"

Now that was a confusing reaction.  "Whaddya mean, what?"  Jerry didn't think he could be any clearer.  A single eyebrow lifted.

Freddy wasn't dancing for the three mother fuckers up there. It was so slow. The dismal weather had left the downstairs quiet, and the upstairs depressing. Even one of Freddy's regulars just didn't seem enthused during his lap dance. It was like they both knew this was happening on the most depressing day of the year. Manuel had sensed Freddy's impatience, as well as the other dancers, and decided to dismiss them for the night. It was uncommon for the dancers not to have clients, and many grumbled curses at mother nature.

Freddy got dressed, pulling his black duffel from underneath the stage. Over his g-string went skinny jeans, and he put on a white, button up shirt that contrasted beautifully with his skin. Manuel had shared a drink with him in silence, the pair mostly tolerating one another. He respected the upstairs bartender, even if he did give Quinn everything.

Joke was on Quinn though, because Manuel was fixing to ask him on a date, and everyone knew it but Quinn. So oblivious, Freddy had thought of the shot boy. He sometimes wondered how someone with such a fake personality even got a job here. Freddy rationalized he'd obviously slept with Jake. That's how most of the male dancers got collected. It was like Jake's deck of slutty Pokemon cards. UGHHH. JAKE!

Freddy finished his drink, slamming it down on the upstairs bar and grunted out a thank you to Manuel. He'd thought of his ex, the dumb, beautiful, amazing, asshole. Freddy could still taste the vampire, the sweet blood fueling him. Being a ghoul had been amazing, but now he was cut off. Jerry was good in bed, but they hadn't broached Freddy feeding from him yet. He figured the other vampire wouldn't care too much. Freddy pretty much felt Jerry didn't care about anything too much. That was just fine with Freddy. He liked it simple.

The wolf in sheep's clothing headed downstairs, fully intending to go to his room in the blood bank part of the rabbit warrens. However, as he scanned the vacant bar, he couldn't help but see Quinn and Jerry talking! He thought they'd fallen out. The jealous boy decided not to jump to conclusions. Maybe they were just talking. Yeah. That was it.

Freddy decided to confirm it by heading to the bar. The new kid tending bar had been made to be slightly afraid of Freddy in the first few hours of working at the Rabbit, and Lisa-Joe had long stopped shielding people from Freddy's acidic edge. The owner had simply warned him.

You say something that get's your nose broke, I ain't doing shit Sugah!

Was this that moment? More likely Quinn would be the one who's shit got broken. Freddy ended up behind the bar, grabbed a bottle of well whiskey, and made himself a quick Whiskey Sour. The other two would clearly see him now, and he smiled at both of them as he clearly interjected himself.

"Hey Jerry," he said, sounding bright. A quick turn of his head later he said, "Quinn," his tone much less excited, a smarmy level of club politeness coating the words like the edge of a diseased spear. "So like, what are you guys talking about?"

Quinn's eyes narrowed as he stared incredulously at the vampire. "Are ya fuckin' kidding me, Jerry?" His face felt hot again and there was a furious tension building in his chest that made him wonder if he would explode at the vampire in the middle of the bar. He had come here to make peace and be respectful.

But Jerry had just outed Malakai to him in the stupidest, most inconsiderate of ways, and Quinn felt like he was going to punch him. If there was one thing that he would not tolerate from his friends or people around him, it was outing someone who had purposely gone out of their way to hide that kind of information.

As soon as the words about Mal had come out of Jerry's mouth, somewhere Quinn knew what he was talking about. The words were spoken in that familiar subtle words that he used to hear to talk about someone in the closet, the hint of knowing something that others didn't discuss. He couldn't help but remember back to the night that Brian had broken his arm when Quinn himself had been outed.

Before he could summon the words to push out of his chest and explode at Jerry, he saw Freddy go around the bar. Stupidly, he hoped Freddy was going to just eavesdrop and keep his fucking distance from them. Instead Quinn watched him strut up to them with waggling hips and that aggravating nosiness of his. Quinn saw that he thought he was being cute, inserting himself uselessly into a situation simply to remind Quinn who was fucking who.

It was too much.

"Y'know what?" Quinn said taking a last swig of his drink in a terrible attempt to drown himself, clacking the glass down on the bar with enough force to make the regulars look over and watch what was going on. "You two fuckin' deserve each othe'." Quinn grabbed his keys and his phone from the bar and stood up angrily, almost tossing the stool flying behind him. "Ya both fuckin' terrible people." Without so much as a parting glance, Quinn left the bar, throwing the palm of his hand into the door and throwing it open.

Freddy almost doubled over in laughter at Quinn's outburst. So sensitive, and besides, what had Freddy actually done? He watched as Quinn left, cat calling him in various ways as he strut to the door. The few regulars looked at the trio turned duet with confusion and even a little judgement. Freddy didn't care. He'd done almost nothing, but now had Jerry all to himself.

"I thought he'd never leave," Freddy quipped. "Want to drink from me?"

This night still had the potential to be interesting, especially with the wet blanket gone.

Jerry was trying to focus on his conversation with Quinn and trying to figure out why he wasn't getting the joke, why he responded like that - maybe it was a misunderstanding? - and while he enjoyed Freddy he was distracting.

Delicious, but distracting.

He was about to answer Freddy's initial question when Quinn exploded, and instead, he watched the scene unfold with shock plainly on his face.  What made Quinn so damn pissed?  Didn't make any sense, especially after Quinn just said he wasn't interested in Jerry anymore.  He didn't even say anything politically-incorrect!

A flash of something that might've been understanding passed the vampire's face at Quinn's concluding sentence.  Quinn thought Jerry was a terrible person?  Why?  Not like he murdered any babies or anything like that.  Whatever the reason, he didn't want Quinn thinking he was a terrible person - what fun was that?  A frown tugged the corners of his lips down as he watched the human exit the bar, frowning deeper with the catcalling because somehow he sensed it wasn't in good spirits.  That much was confirmed in the next thing that fell from Freddy's mouth.

"Uh,"  the vampire licked his lips and turned his gaze on Freddy.  "Like right now?"  He glanced down at his phone, checking the time.  "Maybe later, I think I uh, have another encasement,"  Jerry winced slightly, "Uh, engagement.  I mean, I gotta go."  Quickly downing the remaining blood from his glass, he fished some bills from his back pocket and slapped them down on the table because Quinn had forgotten to pay.  No big deal.

Freddy wasn't comprehending what was happening. Jerry was turning him down? Ugh. He laughed nervously, insecurity being unfamiliar to him. Jerry was the rebound guy, and now he didn't even want a ride? He made himself another drink as Jerry left, muttering a quick, "yeah, okay, cool. See you whenever." Afterwords, he drained his glass before getting on Lovebite. Freddy needed some company who's attention he didn't have to work for. Jerry could explain what the fuck all that was about later, but whatever it was, Freddy knew he hadn't done anything wrong. Jerry was flakey, and Quinn was awful. Yes, as angry as he was, he was content that he was definitely not the problem.
