LINKING: Signatures & Roleplays

I feel stupid not knowing this but I'm confused so I'm asking. I've read Satyr's post on how to put your character's name in your signature and I did exactly what it said easily, but while everyone else has the name of their character, I just have the whole link.

How do I get the names of my character's as the links in my signature?

Type in the word you want to use as the link and highlight it before pressing the link button.

Either that or press the link button, do your pasting thing in the http box that comes up, then when you press ok then a section of text will be highlighted. If you replace that higlighted text with what you want as the link, it should work.

1. When you have the page open with your roleplay or character in it,highlight and copy the line in the browser that looks like this

http://www.roleplaycity.com/forums

(only your thread will have numbers and things at the end)


2. Go to New Roleplays, advertise the link, highlight the word or words that you want to be a link (like; 'join me now' or 'click the link') OR Go to your signature and highlight the name the sheet belongs to.


3. In the little box that you type in, there's all these buttons above. You want to press the button of a blue circle/world with a chain link. Hover your mouse over it, and it will say 'Insert Link'.


4. Press it and a little box comes up starting with 'http://' DELETE that, and paste in what you copied. If you don't delete, you'll get a link that has:

http://http://www.roleplaycity.com/forums

and this link won't work.
