Title: Checking In and Checking Out
Post by: Malkavian Riddler on July 06, 2011, 12:35:00 PM
Cain slept through most of the first day, his internal clock already on the night shift.  He woke up a couple of hours before nightfall and took advantage of room service by ordering himself a big breakfast.  Vomas had explained meals were free along with the room, as a perk of his job as blood donor, and he\'d also received a guide the size of a telephone book with rules and regulations that he was supposed to familiarize himself with.  Inside the front flap of the thick hardcover book was a keycard to his new room - big enough to be a self contained apartment, really. This place was Style, with a capital S.

After breakfast he wandered around the Chambers on his floor, finding the gymnasium and meeting a couple of the other donors, of which there were many.  Word was there was over fifty donors in total, and considering this place was a converted hotel, it was possible. Nobody knew for sure, except Cain figured Vomas knew exactly how many donors were available and how many vacant rooms were left on the floor.  He wasn\'t about the ask the rigid vampire however, for every light hearted comment from Cain last night had led to an indignant look or a snide response.

He was looking forward to meeting with Kerr, and stayed awake almost the whole night waiting for and expecting a visit, but none came.  He\'d fallen asleep on top of the bedspread, but even that had been warm and comfortable as opposed to his old place.

Night had only just fallen and Cain returned to his room in order to see if his schedule had arrived. He\'d thought Vomas might put him on the clock from the first night, and there was a schedule waiting for him when he got back to his room, but he saw with interest that he wasnt expected to be on call for a couple of nights, yet.  Perhaps the Oligarch was more lenient than he seemed.  Maybe it had just been easier for him to slot Cain in there.  He figured the latter was more likely.

A knock at the door caught his attention and he went straight to it, giving his best smile for the vampire he expected to see on the other side - Kerr.

It wasn\'t Kerr, though Cain did recognize him.

Ben had knocked on Cain\'s door, intending to revisit the mortal who\'d made his sire wobbly at the knees.  While Kerr was currently prepping his schedule and doing the political work required of him as Luminary, Ben had left the penthouse immediately after him, getting off on the donor\'s floor instead of all the way down to the library level.

He\'d expected Cain to look a little different than he did in Kerr\'s fantasies, for over time such things happened. The thousand watt smile that greeted him (and faded a little in brightness once the mortal identified him), certainly did Cain justice. He was both handsome and pretty.  Pretty mismatching big blue eyes with very long, thick black lashes.  Chiseled and masculine jaw, full and shapely lips - wider than Ben\'s own.  He could understand Cain\'s physical snd sexual attractiveness but he wasn\'t Ben\'s personal type. He preferred a more mature and clean cut look; the kind Kerr sported, no less.

"Welcome to the donor ranks," Ben said before Cain could properly greet him. "You\'ll fit right in, I\'m sure."

Cain remembered the blonde from Risk, but only because he was associating him with Kerr, otherwise he could\'ve passed Ben in the corridors and had no clue.  He felt intimidated by the cool blue stare as it seemed to look straight through him, but he played it cool and thanked the vampire for the welcome.

"Hey, thanks, but I doubt I\'ll be noticed among your vast numbers," he said sincerely, even though it was bullshit. He was counting on being noticed, and knew he already had been, considering the way he\'d been inducted into their ranks.  He waved Ben in, stepping back from the doorway so he could close the door after the blonde vampire. It didn\'t seem right to just leave him in the corridor without an invitation into his room. "I didn\'t know you had fifty donors at a time," he continued, wanting to show off his newfound knowledge.

At first Ben thought Cain was making a humorous statement in the realm of sarcasm when talking about the \'vast number of donors\', but when Cain waved him in and then spouted a ridiculous number, Ben paused in his desire to end up on the lounge and turned around to watch Cain shut the door.

"You\'re lucky number thirteen," he corrected dryly, his thumbs hooking into his jeans front pockets.  "Who said we had that many donors?"

He doubted Vomas would lead Cain astray and thought the mortal had pulled the number out of his ass.

Cain felt like a moron, being showed up in front of a vampire like he was now. Those assholes in the gym had been playing a joke on him. Fifty donors; there probably weren\'t even fifty rooms on this floor, not if they were all as big as this place.

"Never mind," he said with a soft but bitter laugh, "someone was being funny at my expense."

He doubted Ben would push it, and approached the vampire while offering him a seat on the lounge at his back with a gesturing sweep forward with his open palm.

"Did you come to talk?" he asked, figuring Ben might lay down a few more rules and regulations to follow when it came to Kerr, who was his boyfriend.

"Talk? You\'re a donor now," Ben said flippantly when asked about talking, and turned his back to Cain in order to go to the lounge and make himself comfortable.  As he sat down, he thought it best to not get himself into a bad situation with Cain and clarify himself.  "Yes, I came to talk, but you won\'t be getting a lot of chatter from vamps while you\'re here," he told Cain, talking to him like he really should know this by now.

"Did you come here looking for Kerr?" he asked after a long moment of silence, waiting until Cain got himself settled down.

Cain was surprised by what Ben was implicating, and couldn\'t tell if the blonde was joking or not because he\'d turned away.  Cain followed him, offering him a light smile when he turned around, and nodded when Ben sat and told him off while doing so.  Okay, so he wasn\'t here to drink, he\'d been... what? Teasing? Playful? Taunting?  Unlike Kerr, Ben was incredibly hard to read, and though Cain was excited at the prospect of being fed from by someone like that, he wasn\'t exactly disappointed to find Ben had come here simply to talk after all.

Nodding at Ben\'s words, he sat on the seat diagonal to him, close enough for the vampire to lean forward and touch him if he so wished, and pulled his boots off.  Settling with a few shifts and wiggles on the cushion and ending up sitting with his leg bent and his ankle planted beneath the opposite thigh, Cain waited for Ben to begin the conversation and was both impressed and intimidated by Ben\'s forward start.  He supposed there was no sense wasting words.  He\'d expected Ben to chit-chat a little more, but he supposed his direct questioning went hand-in-hand with the telling off he\'d only just received.  No chatter here, then.

"No," he said with absolute sincerity.  "I was hoping to jump the queue for next year\'s donors because I found out such a thing existed too late to get in this year."

He watched Ben digest this information and offered up more, not wanting to be accused of hiding anything.

"I wasn\'t lying about getting evicted.  I can\'t make rent, which means I\'ll get turfed out after a couple of warnings."  He shrugged.  "I meet all the donor criteria.  Don\'t drink, don\'t smoke, don\'t do drugs," he said, listing them off on his fingers, "and I don\'t talk about your kind to those who don\'t know."

Ben couldn\'t care less about whether Cain had lied about being evicted or not.  If he\'d bought himself this position with a lie, then more power to him, for it wasn\'t easy to sneak errant information past vampires.  There was something subservient about Cain however, that helped Ben believe the mortal wouldn\'t dare do such a thing as lie to a vampire.  Not just for personal health, but also out of respect.

He waved a hand to dismiss the list Cain had supplied him.  Okay, he met the requirements, it really wasn\'t so hard to do.  Ben had met them as a mortal also, and he hadn\'t even been privvy to the \'rules\' for he\'d been ignorant.

"And now that you have the attention of the Luminary," Ben began drolly, "what do you think you\'ll gain from it?"

He doubted Cain was a power player.  He thought the mortal would simply be extra honoured at the fact he\'d attracted such an important vampire.  He wanted to know, however, what thoughts flew through that pretty head of his as the question was asked of him.

Cain was both surprised yet not.  It made sense that Kerr was higher up the ranks than Vomas, because of how Kerr had insisted that Cain be let in when Vomas had obviously wanted to follow the rules.  They could\'ve both been Oligarchs, however, because Cain knew there were two of them - though he didn\'t know who the other one was.

"Um," he said, stalling as he considered what such a thing might mean - his attracting the attention of the Luminary.  With Ben looking at him expectantly, he knew he had to say more than \'nothing\'.  "I figure I\'ll earn myself some jealousy from the other donors," he said, shrugging, already not liking the way they\'d made a fool of him by supplying him with false information.  "I figure Kerr\'ll get whatever he wants from me."

Unless you don\'t want him to? he thought, and wondered how much swing Ben had with his vampire lover.  A lot, since he was now half-remembering the fact he\'d been refused by Kerr because of someone he was with.  It had been Ben he\'d been with at Risk.  Had to be.

Since Ben was actively scanning, he got the dislike for the other donors and a hint of the humiliation Cain had felt, as well as the thought-question Cain had wondered towards him.

"If he wants to fuck you, you mean," Ben said, using the phrase in order to see if Cain would flinch away or look guilty by it.  When he got no reaction he understood that Cain wasn\'t the kind of guy to be artificial about his desire to please the vampire that drank from him.  Groupie through and through.  Ben didn\'t know whether to be impressed or disgusted.  "I won\'t be stopping him."

He didn\'t really know why he was telling Cain this, because he recalled the way he\'d thrown himself at Kerr at the club.  At the both of them, with an offer of a threesome, he recalled.

Cain didn\'t have anything to say after Ben dropped that little goodie on him.  So Kerr was interested enough in Cain to want to drink from him and take him to bed.  Nice.  He wanted Kerr just as much, but not for the fact he was the leader of the supernaturals (though that fact did give Cain an extra little thrill), but because there was something about him that was damn sexy.  He was older when he\'d been turned, which Cain really liked.  Older was his type.  Vampire older, even more so.

"Did you want to drink from me, now?" he asked, figuring if he was a donor then he better get used to offering himself to anyone in the Chambers.  Was that how it worked?  It would also be good to get Ben on side.  He\'d said he was here just to talk, but he might stay to drink, or do more.  Maybe he wanted to sample what Kerr would be getting - it seemed like that kind of relationship.

"I, uh," he hesitated,

Yes, I want to know what it\'ll be like
To drink from you
What Kerr will get
Likely a writhing mess
I don\'t remember if I drank from you last time
And don\'t want to ask you
If I did
Or what you were like

"Just a drink, nothing more," he said warningly.  He didn\'t think a warning would matter, with someone like Cain.  Look at him, how he was dressed, the makeup he wore, the way he presented himself.  Like a fucking rock star.

Porn star, you mean

Ben snorted a puff of laughter at his own mental commentary.

Cain smiled winningly.  He knew his place when a vampire wanted a drink.  It was like settling into a warm bath.  He didn\'t like not knowing what was expected of him, which had been happening the instant Ben told him he was here just to talk.

Standing up, Cain crossed his arms in front of himself and reached down for the hem of his shirt.  Lifting his arms and uncrossing them pulled his shirt neatly up over his head.  He flicked it behind him so it landed on the chair and approached, feeling the warmth of the central heating on his skin pumping in perfectly warmed air from the vents.

He took his cue from Ben, where to sit.

Ben directed Cain to sit beside him, and didn\'t make any mention of the shirt coming off.  It made drinking from the mortal easier, though it seemed a bit overdone - especially when he\'d said nothing was going to happen except for a drink.  Ben was getting the idea that Cain thought he was insatiable.

Insatiable or not, Ben leant back and then slid sideways, reaching around with his hand across Cain\'s bare chest to rest it upon his shoulder.  The mortal\'s heartbeat was loud and obvious as he nuzzled his neck.  Cain was well-rehearsed on how to behave, and soon Ben pierced the skin and began to drink from him.

That wonderful ebbing sensation began, causing him to moan and curl his toes.  He reached up with a hand to secure Ben\'s arm on him, another hand stealing to his crotch and rubbing there.  Ben had said nothing would happen between them, but he hadn\'t said anything about Cain being disallowed to touch himself while being drunk from.  Not doing it would be restrictive and frustrating.

Ben noticed the motions but paid them no attention.  Being drunk from and getting worked up sexually was causing Cain\'s heartbeat to pound harder and faster, keeping the blood pooling into Ben\'s mouth with little effort.  He also felt it changed the taste a little, though Cain had obviously been living a healthy lifestyle for a number of years now.  A vampire could tell if someone quit a nasty habit a few months ago - or sometimes as long as a couple of years.

He continued to drink until he felt he\'d had enough - by no means taking a lot from Cain, figuring that Kerr would probably want to experience the new donor in the ranks soon enough.  There were other vampires who would take advantage of Cain within the Chambers also, so it was best to leave him be.  He was pretty certain the mortal hadn\'t managed to reach his peak, even though the rubbing had increased in friction as they\'d continued.

"I need to use my hand properly, to finish," Cain gasped once Ben moved away, giving the vampire a moment to digest this piece of information.  "Wanna watch?"

He knew Ben had said nothing would happen between them, but watching wasn\'t anything \'happening\'.  Some guys liked to look, and Ben would be able to see what his lover would be getting, if he came to visit with the intention of fucking.  Not that vampires usually did much for Cain other than drinking from him, and sometimes helping him jack off.  He rarely got a blowjob, even less often he got a go at fucking.  Most of them liked to dominate sexually, and it made sense.  They were the predators, after all.

Ben thought it over, and while he thought about it, Cain unzipped and went to work on himself.

"Go ahead," Ben invited needlessly, and cast a critical eye on Cain\'s form.  He was a muscular kind of guy, and had a nice sized dick to match.  Ben thought about Kerr touching it, or helping him wank off while he drank, or maybe even putting his mouth around it.  Kerr was a generous man in bed, and he doubted Cain would get a restricted experience.

As he watched Cain get himself to orgasm, he tried to analyse how he felt about it, but right now he wasn\'t feeling much of anything at all.  It worried him, because he\'d thought he\'d left the numbness behind a long time ago, very shortly after Ichabod had been sired, in fact.  Kerr had extracted it out of him.

Once Cain was done, spilling out his seed, Ben stood up wordlessly and left, regardless of what was said or not said to his back.  As he shut the door to Cain\'s room, with the taste of him still in his mouth and the sight of him still burning into his mind, he realised that he wasn\'t numb after all.  He was burning with curiosity as to what would happen between Cain and Kerr, and how much detail Kerr would share with him.

Huh.
