Title: Storm Tossed
Post by: Seragil on May 22, 2020, 06:56:26 PM
It was a bitch of a night and he was soaked through and shivering from the chill of it, not that he cared, or felt it. His lips were tinged a slight blue and his normally bright blue eyes were dull and washed out, not by cold, but through pain, through heartache, through addiction. The storm continued to rage around and through Zack as he stumbled almost blindly towards the entrance of Venture, The nightclub for Vampires, the nightclub his girlfriend warned him never to go to, the girlfriend he had thought was a fae, the girlfriend that had told him she was fae, but turned out to be a succubus, a sex demon, who had wanted his life and his soul along with it.

Zack had no idea the supernatural world had even existed till he had met Deanna. Beautiful, exotic, seductive Deanna. He had seen her in a nightclub one night and he hadn’t been able to take his eyes off of her. He wasn’t one to ogle usually, it was too much like objectifying someone to him, but there she had been, dancing on her own in the middle of the club as if no one else in the world even existed, till she lifted her eyes and looked at him, only at him. Nearly a year later and she was gone, just gone, and he discovered everything she had told him was a lie, she had been a lie, and he was left broken, addicted, craving the tainted touch of a sex demon. She had been his everything, had become his everything.

He stumbled and fell against the door frame as he entered the club. He wasn’t even sure why he had come, except Deanna had forbidden him to come here, preferring Club Zero, Deanna’s favourite haunt, every time they had walked past Venture Deanna had pulled him close saying that he was hers, only hers, and that they couldn’t have him, he had thought she was joking,  it had made him feel wanted, special…loved.

When he entered the foyer, he was greeted by…someone. Zack barely noticed, accepting the towel that was thrusted at him and not even seeing the sour look that came with it. He threw the towel over his shoulders not bothering to dry off his clothing (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/270743054896463872/713312195387326534/74f9487dfadb6db6e99dd2de7cf4ce1c.png) and moved past, ignoring the beautiful spiraling marble staircase, and stumbled towards the welcome shadows of the Lounge. He blinked those oh so lost eyes, raindrops clinging to his lashes and glinting in his wet, black short hair as he tried to peer through the gloom. There was a booth, it appeared empty

Zack was targeted by a hungry vampire before he could make it any farther.

Katalin stared intently at him as she approached with delicate, precise steps because vampire or not, gravity would take over if she moved too quickly in six-inch heels. Her dress was short, tight, and black, with a plunging neckline that left little to the imagination; her long, brown hair had been pulled back in a severe ponytail so it didn’t detract attention away from her heart-shaped face; and her makeup was perfection, though it couldn’t quite mask how young she looked. When she'd been turned some five centuries ago, she'd been twenty, and she looked fresh-faced and youthful enough to pass for one even younger.

William had liked that about her, once. Ma poupée, he’d call her. His doll.

But when she came to a stop in front of Zack, she examined him in a manner that was well beyond her apparent age. Eyes rimmed thickly with eyeliner that made the bluish-gray hue of them all the brighter mapped him from the top of his soggy head — past his sad, empty face, over an outfit that matched hers beautifully despite its bedraggled state — all the way down to his soggy shoes.

For a moment, one dark eyebrow lifted in sync with one corner of her blood-red lips, then she became a picture of sympathy and concern.

"Oh, you poor soaked thing," she crooned, fluttering a hand to her chest and shaking her head. She tilted her chin just so as she looked up at him, exposing the length of her neck. Her hand fluttered next to the chunky gold necklace that skimmed the hollow of her throat. "You must come with me and dry off. I have a booth just over there. See it? We can sit together."

It was the heels Zack noticed first, they were...beyond...sexy and pre Deanna his blue eyes would have held more heat and interest in them as he followed the stiletto's upwards with his gaze, taking in the sight. Still there was interest and when he had taken in the outfit, the body, her necklace the long line of her neck which begged to be kissed, and then finally that face. She was stunning! She didn't resemble Deanna in any way, but the similarities, the height, the way she held herself...the look in her eyes. ...Deanna...

He licked his suddenly parched lips and smiled weakly before following her to the booth, his eyes mindlessly flicking from her skirt hugging ass to those gorgeously heeled shoes. Even in his semi detached state he waited till she had seated herself before sliding in beside her. " I'm all wet" he said suddenly as if only now noticing the state he was in as he took the towel from around his shoulders and tried to dry himself...ineffectively. He shook his head as if trying to clear it and peered at Katalin from out under the cloth he was dabbing his head with. "You're far to beautiful to be human. Are you a fae as well?" His eyebrow arched ever so slightly his tone darkly amused with just a hint of accusation.

A smirk appeared when she felt his eyes on her and it grew when she sank her weight into each step, swaying her hips for his benefit. Men were so easy. Appeal to them visually, hint that they could have more if they wanted, and they were yours. Unless, of course, they’d had hundreds of years to build up resistance to your charms, but that was neither here nor there when she had a dry spell to break.

He sat down and she slithered into the empty space between them. His warmth radiated into her. "Am I fae as well?" she repeated, both of her sculpted eyebrows lifting and the hand that’d snaked its way to his thigh sliding to a stop. He thought magic had made her beautiful.

She giggled. "Instead of giving you the answer, let’s," she reached across her lap with her free hand to gather the one he wasn’t using to towel his hair off, "play a game. I’ll give you hints and then you can guess." Katalin’s long eyelashes fanned her cheeks as she turned his hand in hers and placed a cold kiss to the tender skin inside his wrist, feeling his pulse just beneath with her lips.

"I've never cast a spell," she murmured, dragging the tips of her fangs over the same spot she’d kissed. "And I don't have wings or a tail, though surely you noticed that on the way over."

A shudder ran through him as he gazed into Katalin’s eyes, whether it was fear, pleasure or the last of his abused instincts telling him to run he didn’t know…or care, a sigh slipped from his slightly parted lips as he felt Katalin hand on his thigh, his breath light but heavy with need. It had been days since Deanna had been with him, used him, taken from him, he needed…. he wanted…. he needed.

He was fucked up and knew it, and the situation he had now put himself in wasn’t going to help, he had come looking for trouble. Deanna had broken something in him and left a darkness behind, but that part that was still him, that small part that hated what she had turned him into, hated what he had become, screamed at him as the beautiful vampire took his hand into hers, screamed in warning, begged him to leave, to run, to flee, flee, flee. His arm even tensed and jerked away a little as Katalin raised his wrist to her mouth and brushed his skin with those cold sensual lips.

He was lost.

The vampire’s words barely registered in his fevered mind, to intent on the sensation of her fangs scraping against his skin, like the teasing butterfly kisses of the lash as Deanna trailed it against his body, the lash she had so enjoyed using, tormented him with, punished him with, the lash she made him beg for. his eyelids fluttered with the memory of it, and from the thrill of the vampire’s fangs on him. He knew what she was, it’s why he had come here. Deanna had said they could take him from her, and he wanted…he needed… he wanted.

The pain to end, to forget, to be taken, to become lost.

“Please” The words were soft, desperate as he tried to take his wrist from her grasp but as light as her touch was he was held tight and that too caused a shock of desire to cramp his stomach. He raised his other hand and touched her face, stroking it in an attempt to pull her attention from his wrist to him. “She said vampires could take me from her, that you…that you…could…” His lips were almost feverish hot as he leaned in to brush his lips against hers. “Please”

Zack was successful in his attempt to pull Katalin’s lips from his wrist, but it wasn’t to kiss him. She sat back and turned her head to avoid it. His mewling was singularly unattractive, reminding her of an orphaned kitten looking for a teat to suck, no matter whom it belonged to.

"I suppose this means you don’t want to play my game," she said, followed by a dramatic sigh and a showy release of his wrist.

Katalin scooted away until she could no longer feel the heat radiating from him, crossed her legs, and held her hand out to examine her red lacquered fingers. She continued speaking to him without looking from them, "Before we go any further, I need to know something." She paused to click her tongue at a chipped nail. She’d have to get it fixed later. "Would any vampire do?"

Then she turned her head to aim her prettiest pout at him. "Or is it me you want?"

The loss of Katalin's closeness was jarring and left him feeling colder then even her cool touch, but it also helped to clear his mind a little. He had come here in the hopes of...actually, he wasn't sure why he had come here, the only thing he was sure of was that Deanna would have hated it. Coming here had been an act of rebellion, of revenge, beyond that, he was clueless. Katalin's tone of voice however had him rubbing his hands over his face and forehead, as if he were trying to rub some sense into his skull as he groaned in frustration and anger at himself. He was lucky she was even still sitting with him, he wasn't sure he would have been so magnanimous if their roles had been reversed.

As the vampire turned her attention from her nails and deigned to look at him once more, albeit with a pout worthy of making angels weep in despair at seeing it, he gave a half smile in apology and in appreciation of the vision she presented.

"I'm sorry, I am being a cad, and I'm a mess, I know." He shook his head slightly and sighed. Could he have made any bigger fool of himself? Could he make his life any fucking worse? "The truth is, I don't know what I'm looking for, or what I am even doing here really, but..." He flicked his eyes over katalin and looked at her, really looked at her before meeting her gaze with his own. "I'm glad you invited me to sit with you, even though I think you're seriously regretting the offer now." He raised his arm and held his hand out towards Katalin in an offer for a handshake. "If you're still interested, maybe we can start again....My name's Zack, and even though I'm feeling a little lost right now, it's a real pleasure to meet you."

A part of him told him to stop, just let the woman go and then leave...but he squished it and waited to see how the vampire would respond. He hadn't made the best first impression he knew but she hadn't left yet either so maybe there was still a chance he could turn this night around.

While Zack struggled to pull the conversation into reverse, Katalin turned her head and pretended to continue examining her fingernails, flipping her fingers this way and that to get a good look at them from all angles. Red looked marvelous against her pale skin, but she was tired of the color. She’d tell her girl to give her something blue and metallic next time. She had just the dress to compliment the color, and she could wear her hair—

When he hesitated and she felt his eyes on her, she put her outfit planning on hold and rearranged herself to look back at him and the hand he extended. The smallest of smirks twisted her lips before she puckered them prettily.

"Hm. I’m Katalin," she said, holding her hand out to Zack's, though with her palm down and slender fingers dangling like a queen awaiting her subject’s worshipful touch. "And you're not lost at all. I found you, didn't I? I'll show you the way."
