Just popping in to let everyone know that I haven`t died. lol My move back home is slated for July 24th or 25th, it all depends on when my mother makes it out to pick me up. As a result, I probably won`t be active on the forum again until the second or third week in Aug. So please please please hang in there for me! I know it`s a long time, but I promise as soon as I get my life back in order - I will make it up to everyone I write with (sorry for any side stories that are being held up because of me).

Hey all,

Just wanted to let everyone that for the next month or so, I will not be able to get onto a computer as frequently as I have in the past. I am in the process of moving back to the west coast of Canada (Maple Ridge B.C for those who are curious to look it up on a map :) )and should be all moved by Aug 1st - give or take.

Please hang in there for me, as I in no way, wish to abandon any of my RP`s with you all. I just really need some time to get my life back in order, and this major change is a big part of that.

I appreciate your understanding. *Snuggles*

Mandy couldn`t help but find her interests piqued at Cedric`s words, much of his prior coaching easily forgotten.

Surely, he anticipated the question that was to follow next.

“How long?” She asked, keeping pace with remarkable ease, “Was it another man, or a woman? Did you care for them? Love them?” Question after question rolled from Mandy`s tongue - her sires own insistence that if she ever had such questions she should simply ask, fueling the building fires of her curiosity. What’s more, the fresh blood circulating through the fledglings system only managed to add to that prevalent impulse.

Aware that she may have come across as overbearing, she squeezed Cedric`s hand again, peering up at him with apologetic eyes. She simply couldn`t help herself. Naturally impetuous as she`d been in life – Mandy was twice that (at least) in death.

Mandy felt a cold chill run down her spine as Cedric stated the very obvious, reminding her of things she`d failed to previously consider. Work. Friends. Family? She didn`t really have a family anymore. All of them had died – so at least that part of the equation need not rear it`s weary head. Sources of food… living arrangements…

“I don`t want to go back there. To him.” She began, imagining just how difficult it would be to face Kerr again after what had happened with Ben. Not only that, but her present condition would only add to the crushing awkwardness of it all.

“Any questions, ask me.”

“May I stay with you?” Well, he`d wanted her to inquire as needed. Mandy squeezed Cedric`s hand affectionately, hoping not to appear desperate, but endearing. “I can sleep on the sofa.”

It was baffling - Cedric`s demand that Mandy should answer to him and only him.  Him and only him? What exactly did that mean?

In truth, those words carried with them a wide variety of possibilities.

First and foremost, they implied that the Oligarchy might not be able to harm the female now that she was Cedric`s sire. That perhaps, his old blood might protect her in some mysterious way. She need not to answer to them anymore – which would be comforting - because he would not be questioned (or was a force to be reckoned with). Then again, these same words could indicate something of a slightly more dictating foundation.

Perhaps Cedric was attempting to establish that he was Mandy`s master now, and she would do whatever it was he wanted, when he wanted and without argument or unnecessary discussion. She owed him her life, and it was his to do with as he pleased. If that were the case, then it `d be easy to see why he might dismiss her previous concerns.

Lastly (and if Mandy didn`t know any better), Cedric`s statement could have almost been interpreted as a minor pang of jealousy toward her previous vampire love. At least, it could in Mandy’s eyes. Answering to him and only him – not Kerr. Was it possible that he`d only said what she needed to hear (as she lay dying upon the road) so she would take his offer of life eternal? Did Cedric have no intentions of letting Mandy peruse Kerr in earnest now that eternity was at her fingertips?

So many questions…

“I understand.” Came her eventual reply, the slight graze of her sire`s thumb having not gone unnoticed. She shivered as the minor touch prompted a blanket of goose bumps across the plain of her skin, amplified by lingering confusion and first infusion of blood to mingle deep within her veins. It may not be the total truth, but Mandy supposed in time, he would come to show her what exactly he meant.

“I am.” Gabe answered simply, wiling himself to sink further into the bladder of the air mattress as Jules cuddled in close. This felt very comfortable – very right. He easily could see himself falling asleep in such a manner every evening. There was just something a little more intimate about sleeping out in the wild.

Yawning, the blonde pressed a final, lingering kiss to Julian`s forehead before finding his pillow and closing his eyes. “Goodnight, Jules.” He whispered happily.

Good night.

“Yes.” She whispered, features softening as the realization that she was not about to be deserted soothed her tussled thoughts. “Yes.”

Holding tight to his hand, Mandy stepped obediently aside - offering Cedric room enough to lead her down the isle and out the quiet confines of the cathedral. She wasn`t confident that she could recall the route back to her sires home, but even if she were, it felt better to give him complete control. She was less nervous knowing him to be dominant, strange as that initially appeared. Where the matter of rest was concerned however,

A better suggestion could not have possibly existed.

To lie down and think (recap all that had occurred and sort out events in the balm of her frazzled head) would be a merciful release in itself! Like-wise, Cedric probably had much to consider as well. Like the repercussions of what it was he had done. If the Oligarchy saw fit to punish an immortal for having an unregistered pet, Mandy didn`t even want to fathom what they would do to one that had created an unauthorized fledgling.

She waited until they began to walk before pressing this concern against Cedric`s mind.

“I`ve gotten us into a lot of trouble… haven`t I?”

Silence broken by the deep timber of Cedric`s voice, Mandy`s eyes darted up from the dusty floor boards on which she sat; still hungry, though much more in control of her emotions. The blood she`d consumed only seemed to heighten her already amplified awareness of things, including Cedric`s presence. His scent. The way he spoke and moved. She was fascinated by it, and this innocent attraction showed no sign of dissipating any time soon.

“Where are we going?”

To Cedric`s home? To another local where she might feed some more? Risk maybe? The female had only been inside the popular vampire club one time prior, and that had been as the food! Would be an entirely different experience for her now.

Her chest suddenly tightened, imagining a slightly less encouraging prospect.

He wouldn`t send her away, would he? Send her back to the house she shared with Kerr - a painful reminder of all that she`d lost. Surely, he intended to remain by her side and teach her? Wasn’t that part of being a sire? Fearfully, she sprung to her feet (the speed in which she moved infinitely startling) and latched onto Cedric`s left hand – pulling it to her breast.

“Don`t leave me.”

It was difficult to argue the reasoning in that - not that Gabe had been particularly concerned with safety, so much as principal. After all, Jules was a ware shifter and he – well, just one look at his massive wings might be enough to turn a man tail. He was more curious how normal people kept others out. Perhaps the concept was rather the same?

Dismissing the thought, Gabriel followed his lovers lead; snuggling in close and returning the chaste kiss. Time for bed, he reminded himself, feeling a familiar tug in the crotch of his pants. Those would probably need to come off too, if he intended to rest in comfort.

Grimacing, the angel lifted his hips into the air, trying to pull the denim off (a difficult task on the plushy air mattress on which he balanced).

Gabe entered the sturdy tent with an appreciative smile, folding his wings neatly at his sides before settling in atop the air mattress below. He`d been fascinated with the ‘blow-up bed’, equally amazed that it was equip with it`s own motor in which to inflate the velvet bladder. A couple sleeping bags later, and the tent had become quite the comfortable shelter.

Waiting for Jules to join him, he gazed about the dimly lit encasement, imaging what it might be like in the mid of a thunderstorm. Not very safe – he imagined.

“What keeps people from getting in while we sleep?” The angel asked, noting that the zipper flap did not have a locking device of any kind on it.

Okay… okay…” Mandy breathed, observing great pains to regulate her raging emotions and get a grip. “Okay.”

She climbed from the clergyman’s lap with great effort, practically throwing herself to the floor at Cedric`s side in an effort to place distance between her and the mortal. She`d need more time to relax and calm the intense instincts screaming inside. The perfect occasion for Cedric to ‘clean’ things up. Which Mandy could only assume meant, healing the mans wound and returning him to where ever he`d been retrieved from prior.

Until he was done, she would simply have to wait.

She wanted to thrash and pull away but Cedric overpowered her with ridiculous ease, breaking the tight seal between Mandy`s lips and her failing prey. She whimpered as the mans precious blood spilled needlessly from the gaping wound in his neck, aching to lap it up, lest it go to waste on the floor.

“Cedric… please...”

Her voice dripped with lust and desperation – extreme wanton. To the untrained ear, she might almost have appear as though in a state of perpetual ‘heat’. She needed more – needed that nameless man in her arms, drained dry for her cause. And then another, and another, until the burning in her had ceased.

And Cedric…

She felt she needed him too, more so with every passing moment. The turmoil was maddening.

She did see! Now that she knew what it was she`d been looking at before.

His arteries. His pulse.

It had hammered in her ears like the methodic beat of a drum, but she thought it her own – had forgotten that a living heart no longer beat within her chest. How remarkable that she was able to perceive it so clearly! It more or less guided her to the ideal place to drink, a blueprint of sorts that every vampire could read. And now that Cedric had gently broken the skin, it gave her no further reason for pause.

Perhaps a little more awkwardly than she would have preferred, Mandy dipped her head into the crook of her victim’s neck and (with shivering anticipation), licked tentatively at the small rivet of blood. An avalanche of warmth and pleasure tore through her body as the crimson sap hit her searching tongue, encouraging her to lick again, followed by a probing kiss… another lick. The bite itself would be riddled with a mixture of uncertainty and endless ecstasy.

Fangs not yet developed to what would become precision points, her teeth gnashed sloppily at the mans flesh, eventually finding a comfortable place on which to latch (the wound torn large enough to permit adequate flow). And oh, the bliss. Better than the most powerful orgasm - than an adrenalin rush in the wake of an extreme situation - every draught of blood was an experience unto itself, leaving Mandy reeling while instantly wanting more.

She sucked deeper, more urgently; the mans veins constricting  treacherously as her need increased. Mandy would drink him dry, if left to her own devices, she was sure… but in the haze of such a blood lust as this – she didn`t particularly care. Let him die, as long as this feeling was made to endure.

Her hold began to tighten about his ribs; fingers digging into the unconscious mans back. It was up to Cedric now. This mortals fate essentially laid within the ancients hands.

It was obvious to Gabriel now that any motivation they had once found to make love beneath the stars, was gone – but that would be all right. As much as he enjoyed the new pleasures of the flesh he`d recently discovered, they didn`t rule him. He could show some self control.

Problem was just trying to shut the ‘engines’ down.

He focused on Julian`s fingers as they roam his chest, trying to envision the scene that had been painted for him of people abandoning their places of business in order to flock to the beach. If one imagined this phenomenon happening all at once – a great crowd of people swarming to the ocean front – then yes, he could see why it might strike Jules as ‘hilarious’.  Of course, his lover probably didn`t mean for Gabe to think of it that way.

“I can`t wait to see it for myself.” He said dreamily, “We`ll just be sure to dress accordingly.” A shiver not born of his lover`s touch, ran through Gabriel`s body just then, sending a rash of goose bumps across the surface of his skin. My, but the temperature had dropped within the last hour! And here they both were, practically naked in it!

It wouldn`t do to fall ill now.

“It`s getting late. Maybe we should head to bed?”

But her instincts were what frightened her.

Mandy trembled and quaked like some drug addict searching for their next high, leaving her to resist the many urges she had to maim the clergyman lying before her. It helped that Cedric was there, but everything (even the thirst) seemed as though it were going entirely too fast. Was this what all newly sired fledglings had to go through before reaching a stable place like Cedric and Kerr? It was staggering to consider.

Pull him to me…

Unfamiliar with the still-developing limits of her strength, Mandy gathered her blood donor into the circle of her arms, much like a lover might draw their partner near. It was a battle to remain in control – to remain mindful of the man – but she took it only a step at a time. Sadly, the closer he came to her, the worse the cravings became.

Hugging him to her chest, she climbed atop the man`s lap – arranging her legs in a straddling fashion at either side. Should anyone walk in now, it would certainly appear the sight. Mandy looked as though she were about to engage the man in a desperate kiss. In some ways – she was.

“Where… where do I…” Her voice trailed as she searched her victims exposed neck, his head slumping limply to the side.
