Addiction
« on: January 25, 2020, 09:05:50 PM »
He lasted a week.

Win had picked up the phone a few times when it had dinged, but they were just Lovebite alerts. Nothing from Gable. He used the donors, he used the Lovebite contacts, he used whoever was handy to keep himself refreshed and his skills topped up. He even used their bodies if they were willing but his mind kept going back to the mortal who'd confronted him on the street outside Venture.

The one who'd said that 'maybe' he'd call.

So exactly one week later, Win had picked up a cup of warmed animal blood from Brannigans - pig by the taste - and was lounging on his bed scrolling through Lovebite when he noticed that it was ten at night and he received a very strong urge to call Gable. It wouldn't go away. After some thought about what he might say, he texted a simple message of no obligations.

You doing anything?

He waited what felt like a second for the reply. When it arrived on his screen with a bloop, he smiled at it.

No.

Win quickly thumbed his response.

Wanna do me?

Time held its breath for a short period, as if Gable took a breath to think, and the response blooped positive.

Now here he was, back at the Detour Motel because he knew Gable wouldn't come to the Luminary. He'd rented a room, been given a key and then just as he'd been about to turn away, inquired after the number of the room he and Gable had used last. It was free. The manager didn't even bat an eyelid, that was how much they cared for Win's reason.

Now, he waited on the bed, stripped to his underwear, his supplies for tonight on the dresser - lube and a few toys too. He was toying with his phone in case Gable texted him again after Win had sent him the room number.

The door was unlocked, ready for Gable (or anyone) to waltz in.

Gable technically hadn't been doing nothing within the confines of his sleek, modern apartment - but nobody respected guys that spent their Friday nights poring over spreadsheets, timetables and cost summaries. Not that he'd been concentrating particularly well. He'd come home, done a workout, showered, changed, cooked himself a simple dinner and settled down to work... but the whole time he'd been acutely aware of what night it was.

A week since he'd met the unicorn.

His thoughts were restless and hadn't allowed him to focus on the work. Two glasses of red wine and some questionable Red Tube views later, he'd been about to indulge in some solo pressure relief (fantasies of the unicorn had fed his hand every night since he'd left him, so why should tonight be any different?) when his phone had buzzed. The hand not holding the stem of his (empty) wine glass snuck away from the waistband of his sweatpants and picked it up.

He'd answered quickly, his heart thudding. He'd been exhausted all week at work but never so preoccupied that he hadn't considered calling Win every damn night. He put it down to phenomenal sex and the nature of the mythical creature Win was but that didn't make him feel any less guilty or concerned that he wanted a repeat night with him. It'd eaten him up, like an encroaching poison seeping from his gut to his organs, destroying his willpower. He'd been determined to resist it for as long as he could.

Frankly, he was always a little gaga over the vampires he fucked (he tried to reassure himself as he texted Win that yes, he wanted to do him and ordered himself a ride). That was all part of the appeal, getting that close to a motherfucking predator that had ripped into his body in numerous ways and drunk his blood. Win was different from most vampires so a bit of stronger fascination was to be expected. He was a unicorn; he'd let Gable fuck him. Of course he'd be a little extra enamoured with him. Apparently, he was seven nights' worth of wanking over him enamoured.

Not tonight, though. As much as he hadn't planned on succumbing, he couldn't resist saying yes to Win tonight. He'd turned down drinks with a few of his workmates (mainly because the guy that invited him was an asshole that he couldn't stand but had a bad habit of getting drunk with and shutting up by shoving his dick in his mouth and he hadn't wanted to encourage that behaviour again, either), opting for a 'quiet night' but what the hell? Maybe agreeing would get Win out of his system once and for all.

He didn't bother changing his clothes, leaving the apartment in a purple v neck and a pair of grey sweatpants (without underwear). He did step into a pair of black slip on shoes and pull on a khaki bomber jacket, putting his keys, phone and wallet in the jacket's pockets as he turned off his lights and locked his front door. He was unshaven, his facial regrowth at a scratchy length and he hoped Win wouldn't mind. He'd have shaved but his ride was minutes away and, truthfully, he didn't want to wait a second longer than he had to to get to the Detour.

Oddly, he was nervous on the drive across town, second guessing his casual attire, even though he'd decided none of it mattered. It was all going to be on the floor of the motel room soon enough, why get fancy? Excitement was mixed in, too. His dick was jumpy, anticipating being squeezed into that tight, cool tunnel of Win's and allowed to fuck with abandon. There were few experiences like it and he was already glad he'd agreed to come.

When he arrived, he got a bit of a sense of deja vu as he headed to the room he'd been told to go to. He chuckled to himself, finding it amusing that they'd somehow ended up in the same room as last time. When he got to the door, he tapped on it with a knuckle but then tried the handle and let himself in. He closed it and locked it behind himself, his gaze automatically finding Win's baby face on the bed. He was grinning, he could feel it on his face, too wide and toothy probably but he couldn't help it. His body quickened at the sight of the near-naked vampire on the bed, highlighted by the light of bedside lamp for his benefit.

"I see you came prepared," Gable observed with raised eyebrows, sighting the collection of goodies gathered on the dresser. He toed his shoes off and pulled off his jacket, preparing to strip without preamble. It wasn't like they needed to get to know each other; he was familiar enough with every inch of Win's body that he knew he wanted to revisit all of it immediately.

Win immediately abandoned his phone onto the dresser when Gable walked in. He felt excitement in his belly and a little vulnerable in a way that he hadn't felt for a long time. Being near naked on the bed while Gable walked in fully clothed and locking the door behind him had made his belly flop and his cock shift and harden.

Gable looked rough and ready and hotter than last time, his unshaven appearance adding to the appeal of being used by this man. At the mention of his preparations, Win glanced at the lube and the toys before looking back at the mortal.

"I didn't want you to be bored," he said. With his gaze fixed on Gable, his mind travelled to the different things they might be doing tonight and his tongue snuck out to wet his lips.

Once his jacket was hung on one of the hooks on the back of the door, it took Gable no time to whip his shirt over his head and drop his pants. He walked out of them in a smooth motion, his dick rising and swaying as he padded over to the side of the bed, naked except for the heavy silver chain around his neck and the silver ring on his left thumb. He loomed over Win, his gaze eating up his pale, firm figure from his head to his toes.

It was funny. He was standing above a vampire but he felt like the predator. Win's huge eyes, bouncy curls and those ridiculously pouty lips gave him an air of innocence Gable enjoyed. His body was sleek and muscular in a way that made Gable slightly paranoid about his own lack of abs and thick body hair but the contrast was exciting. Win definitely made him feel his daddiness in an organic and sexy way most guys didn't pull off even when they tried. It hadn't ever been his thing but the contradiction of a powerful creature being his submissive turned him on like never before.

Gable reached up and threaded his fingers into Win's hair, watching as his dark digits sifted through the silky curls, following the curve of the crown of the vampire's head before pulling out and repeating the motion. "How could I be bored with you, little one?" he murmured, shifting his gaze from his hand down to Win's soulful eyes. He smirked at him, at the lust in those pretty orbs. "Are you planning to go to sleep?" he teased, chuckling at his own joke. It wasn't even funny but being near Win made him a little giddy and rather silly, it seemed.

"You going to take those off or am I going to, hrmm?" he hummed, his eyes flicking towards Win's underwear before returning to his face. His lips were begging to be kissed - or to have his cock shoved between them. He twitched at the thought.

As soon as Gable was within reach, Win extended a hand to hold onto Gable's cock, stroking with loose fingers and teasing with his touch. His gaze remained fixed on the mortal, curious. If he was so eager for this to happen then why wait so long? Had he been about to call tonight? Did Win beat him to the punch? He wanted to ask but didn't want to weigh their night down with such questions. At the end of their tryst tonight he would make an offer and hope that Gable accepted.

"I left them for you to take off," Win spoke quietly, his arms rippling gooseflesh at Gable's soft touch. He kept thinking his hair would be gripped and tugged but the gentleness remained.

Gable smiled, trying (and failing) not to shudder at Win's touch on him. There was a delay between the vampire's answer and him acting on the unspoken instruction; a delay in which he simply stood and finger-combed soft curls and relished the night's potential. Everything was possible, in that moment and the thrill was so great it almost made his bones ache.

It was ridiculous, how excited he was to be back there again. It had to stop. He pulled his hand out of Win's hair at last and crawled over the top of him, planning to use his teeth to get the underwear off. "Let's get started, then," he murmured huskily, ready to begin the night's festivities.

~*~

The night went much the same as their last one had, minus the drinking blood, plus some toys. Gable had his share at home but it was an entirely different story when someone else was using a toy on you. It became a game of trust and communication, something he'd never been great at. Although he attempted to let Win use them on him, they never lasted long before his gritted teeth released and he gruffly told Win to stop. There was too much pressure to perform, to like it and to cum. He couldn't handle anything too serious with the toys and he also couldn't look Win in the eye and say why.

Besides, Win was really the only toy Gable was interested in and he said so, earning a beaming smile from the vampire that eased the tension his refusal to continue with the toys had roused. They tried more adventurous positions instead and explored with less urgency and a growing understanding of what the other liked best. There was an extra orgasm this time, which surprised Gable. He'd expected his interest would wane and it'd go the other way, once he'd had his fill of the vampire. Apparently that wasn't going to happen and, by the time the fourth occurred in the shower, his body was destroyed but his interest was only growing.

Like last time, he staggered out to the bed and flopped onto it to recoup enough strength to pull his clothes on and get himself home. It was very late and, as he lay there with an arm thrown over his eyes, Gable began seriously contemplating sleeping here. Win would want to race back to The Luminary to be safe from the sun, he knew, but Gable didn't have to worry about that. The room was paid for and he had no Saturday plans. Why not succumb to the exhaustion seeping into his bones and just hang around until he woke up?

Win's legs had jellied in the shower but they recovered by the time he dried himself. His body healed while Gable's didn't and he appreciated the other's stamina. During their play he'd surface scanned a few times to see what Gable liked and what he wanted next, and saw that Gable's interest in him was growing. His lust radiated out of him in a way that Win felt desired so completely that it passed as a substitute for an emotional connection.

Still, seeing Gable on the bed in the same pose as last time reminded him that being held was something the mortal endured rather than enjoyed. Win craved it even though he suspected this might have been the reason why Gable hadn't called him back. If he did it again...

Win moved around to the other side of the bed and crawled onto it. He lay down on his side and faced Gable, not touching him this time, not asking if he could. He was aware how late it was but he knew how easy it was to get here. Also, he'd spied and been impressed by the thick, block-out curtains that covered the only window in the room. They had fastenings to hold them together at a slight overlap so there was no open seam of sunlight and they were ringed onto a sturdy, bolted on curtain rod so they couldn't be removed.

The owner of the Detour knew what was in this city and had supplied the minimum requirement for keeping the nightlife safe. That, and the option of a 7pm checkout was enough, though Win had been told not clearing out by 10am meant he'd be charged an extra night... but he also could be assured that the room would remain his.

His gaze had wandered Gable's body while he'd thought about sleeping here beside him, the idea thrilling him. Now he looked at Gable's face, what he could see of it covered by Gable's eyes. His idea deflated. If the mortal didn't want him to hold him, then he certainly wouldn't want to sleep beside him.

"We can make this a regular thing on Friday nights if you like. I can arrange for a standing reservation for this room and we can meet at ten. If..." he stopped himself from gushing, but the start of the sentence hung there in a way that Win didn't enjoy. "If you want to meet up less or m-more, you have my number."

He verbally stumbled over the thing he really wanted.

When he felt Win's weight depress the mattress beside him, Gable roused enough to roll onto his side and hook an arm about the vampire's waist, dragging him in against his body without too much consideration. After their hours of being connected so intimately, it just felt weird to be on the bed with him and not touching.

He grunted at Win's offer of a regular Friday night date, his lids lowering against his will. He really shouldn't set anything like that up... but then again, why not? Win was without a doubt the nicest and most trustworthy vampire he'd ever met. He respected Gable's boundaries and though he wanted more, he never forced or even cajoled to get what he desired. He was also hands-down the sexiest vamp in the city.

"Mmmyeah, okay," he sighed, burying his face in Win's hair and failing to specify exactly what he thought he was agreeing to in his sleepy state. "So fucking tired," he huffed, trying to fight the urge to slide into slumber because Win was present nd comfortably warm against his front.

Win was very happy in Gable's hold. He made himself comfortable hugging him and then lay there, relishing the experience. When Gable agreed to a standing date, Win felt like bouncing and wooping but he suppressed it and smiled with force. He couldn't contain the small laugh that he could feel bubbling up in his chest though and it escaped, sounding very much like a titter.

He licked his lips and then pressed them to the flesh closest his mouth, Gable's shoulder.

"I must be good at wearing you out," Win said softly, pressing another kiss to the human's skin. He smelt a combination of his musk and the cheap soap in the shower. A heady scent.

"Very good," Gable groaned into Win's hair then forced himself to take a huge breath and pull away, blinking.

"Man," he yawned, trying to distract himself away from slumber. "If I don't move, I'm going to fall asleep," he frowned, lifting a hand away from Win to rub his eyes.

When he stopped, he blinked at Win in concern. "Shouldn't you be going soon? To beat the sun?" he queried.

"Did you want me to go? Because I can stay here, they have a special checkout time," Win explained. "Just don't open the curtains."

He grinned, his joke falling flatter than he'd expected and he'd expected it to be pretty flat. He was worried that Gable wouldn't want him to stay and that Win would have to pack up his things and get out to save himself any further awkwardness. He was optimistic, though, for Gable had agreed to see him every Friday at the very least and Win knew he'd be looking forward to next time as soon as he was on his own.

Gable frowned at Win, his exhausted brain having difficulty following what the vampire was saying. He was offering to stay? In the daytime? With him? Here? Together? Gable was too tired to decipher everything he was probably supposed to because, even though his logical brain told him he shouldn't, he couldn't think of a clear and concise reason to say no.

In fact, staying here for the rest of the night and sleeping late with Win seemed like a fine idea. Sure, something in him quailed at it but he was so fucking tired he just wanted to curl up and sleep. "I won't," he agreed to not opening the curtains. Why would he? At this rate, he'd be lucky to even move out of the bed, let alone go exploring with a sleeping vampire in the room. Huh.

"You trust me?" he queried, squinting at Win through eyes burning with fatigue. He was strangely touched by the offer.

"Yes, just like you've been trusting me," he pointed out. They both knew what Win was capable of. Gable had been forced to trust him the second they'd met. It was only fair that Win gave him that trust in return.

Win kissed Gable's shoulder again and smiled with his lips pressed against it. He knew he was getting caught up in this mortal too soon. It was just sex for the other and Win had pinned a lot of hope on him already; hope that he would start being interested in Win more, that he would start asking questions about him, that he would look at him with something more than lust.

Win's reference to trust made Gable's weary, free-associating mind wheel in Eddy's direction. The man trusted no-one - and supernaturals even less. If he knew what Gable was doing in his spare time, Gable would be out of a job faster than he could protest. Laying in this bed had the potential to ruin his life, end friendships and professional relationships he'd worked on for years and send him spiralling into a lost, lonely free-fall he might never recover from.

Yet he couldn't muster the energy or the inclination to get himself out of it and go home.

It wasn't even that Win was everything he'd never been game enough to dream for. Sure, he was a fucking unicorn but it was more than what he did in bed. It was what he represented; an unhinged and dedicated freedom to embrace his deepest desires. Win could ruin him and, with a swipe of a curtain, he could ruin Win. Was that mutually-assured destruction? It was a shit reason to spend time with someone; dark, too. The fact that they could completely destroy him and every construct of his self and his environment was a terrible reason to stay.

Truthfully, he'd always had a bit of a gambling problem... but everybody had their vices. Apparently, Gable was developing another for his collection. "Okay, then," he sighed and then whimpered. "But I want the covers. Can you get 'em?" he pleaded, peeling an eyelid open to peer down at Win's face kissing his shoulder.  They'd thrown the covers onto the floor at the foot of the bed while they fucked, to give them a blank palette to screw on.  He didn't have the energy to regather them and Win didn't have the heat to keep him warm so if the vampire wasn't swayed by his gruff appeal, he would be at an impasse. Intriguing prospect.

There was no room for an impasse. Win was eager to please but he didn't want to move away from Gable, who was nice and warm. He remained cuddled close but his focus changed. He remembered how they'd tossed the covers and Win had seen how they'd landed. Picturing them, he imagined them being flung upward and stretched out - and he heard the shift and flutter of it happening, so turned his head to watch his handiwork. The blanket was slipping down off the sheet so he mentally grapped that too and then covered him and Gable with it.

He didn't have the ability to tuck them in - that kind of detail would take a lot of effort and was unnecessary. There were wrinkles and imperfections they would have to sort out, but Win was quick to get his arm out of the covers and smooth what needed smoothing, pulling on what needed pulling. The weight of the sheet and blanket upon them was cosy and Win was eager to get back to his cuddles.

A cold shiver ran down Gable's spine and he rubbed his eyes with childish fists to stare at the blankets that were suddenly thrown over him... yet Win hadn't even moved. How the... what the... actual fuck?

"What just happened?" he asked warily, feeling rather wide awake now. It didn't help his confusion, however, because he really had no clue how he was cool and exposed one second then covered with blankets the next. Talk about blink and you'll miss it.

Win smiled against Gable's flesh, making a soft pleased sound. "I used my abilities," he said, because he didn't like the word 'powers'. It made him feel like he was after some kind of worship if he phrased it that way. "A silly trick but convenient because you're warm and comfy," he explained.

Gable lifted himself up on his elbow and looked down at Win in wonder, his other hand at Win's hip, his thumb brushing his firm skin in tight circles. "You can move things with your mind?" he asked incredulously. "Is that how you did it?" He figured it had to be, since there was no physical movement that he'd detected.

Such an ability was rumoured to belong to vampires but Gable had never had the guts to ask one if it was true or not. He'd definitely never seen it in action. Now he doubted what he had seen and wanted to see it again. He glanced around the room, looking for a challenge for the vampire. "What else can you lift?" he asked, excitement evident in his voice.

His comfy spot was taken away from him anyway. Perhaps he should've collected the blankets manually, then they would be snuggling right now.

Win knew Gable was likely to be a fanboy of vampiric talents, but he'd anticipated that the mortal would 'play it cool' and not give away his excitement. He wasn't even trying to hide it but he was also tempered in a way the younger ones weren't.

"Anything that's not secured. It's the same task to lift a tissue box or a car into the air but it's different trying to lift a house when it has foundations keeping it down."

There wasn't a lot in a hotel room that he could demonstrate with. Win sat up beside Gable and pointed to the small desk in the corner with the chair tucked into it.

"Look where the desk is," Win instructed. He mentally focussed his will onto the chair, pulling it out from its position and then lifting it up into the air. Watching its progress, he angled it and made it do a little spin like a ballerina, and then a rolling tumble before he gently set it down onto the carpet once more. "Vampires might have these skills but it takes blood to use them. I don't need to drink daily to sustain myself, but I do it so I can show off floating chairs to my lovers." Win grinned cheekily at Gable.

Gable released his hold on Win's hip in order to bring his hand to his mouth - initially, to cover his gasp of surprise but then it curled around his chin, his thumb anchored on his jaw and his index finger stroking thoughtfully back and forth across his lower lip.

He watched the display with wide eyes, too amazed by what he was seeing to make any noise. He was baffled by the notion that it would take the same amount of effort to lift a car as a tissue box and wondered if Win was being falsely modest. It just didn't seem right. The laws of physics didn't apply to vampires? Well, he supposed it wouldn't be the first nor last law that didn't.

At the mention of drinking blood, Gable's gaze skittered to Win's and he chuckled at the notion that he trotted this trick out to impress his multitude of other lovers. "Well, I mean, the benefits are obvious," he quipped, removing his hand from his face in order to gesture seriously towards the chair. He was tired enough to find himself hilarious, his eyes twinkling mischievously as he looked back at Win. "Not many men can claim they get laid because of a twirling chair, though."

"The chair must be bonus time since I've already got laid," Win said matter-of-factly, sliding his gaze to Gable before making a counter-offer. "I can lift you the same way but you might not like it. It has a strong sensation of, uh... relinquishing control."

They both knew Gable enjoyed being in control though Win had found himself surprised a few times both nights when Gable trusted him more than he had to. He'd thought the mortal would want the dominant position each time, that Win's natural desire to please would lead them down a path of one-sided sex, but it hadn't gone there. He found himself admiring Gable in a way he hadn't the first night.

"Next time, when I can drink from you, we can fuck on the ceiling." He didn't mean it, but if Gable was keen he'd figure out a way. Levitation was more fun when one of them was standing on the ground but those were details he wasn't going to go into. He hoped Gable would be intrigued enough to ask for it to happen tomorrow night.

Gable raised his eyebrows and lowered himself back down beside Win, cuddling up to him and thinking about the offer. It was kind of Win to point out the loss of control thing but it wasn't like he hadn't been on roller coasters before. He thought he could handle it. The thought of fucking up near the ceiling was... wild. He glanced upwards, imagining it, imagining the view of the room from just a few metres in the air, what it would feel like to float and fuck.

"Sounds amazing," he grinned cheekily, tired eyes glinting. He was aware that he had a few weeks before he had to worry about dealing with the potential loss of control so it was easy to be philosophical about it. The one thing he couldn't imagine was what it would feel like. He was impressed Win would share it with him, though. "I'll take you up on that, when the time comes," he declared grandly, overconfidence and the delirium of lacking sleep putting him in a happy, giddy, playful space where everything was possible - and likely.

He nuzzled a kiss onto Win's temple, tangling their legs as he surrendered to his own exhaustion. "I'm gonna stay," he decided around a yawn that made his eyes water. "But how'm I gonna get out of here when I wake up? You'll be alright as long as the sun doesn't hit you when I open the door, right?" he asked offhandedly, signalling his intention of leaving the hotel whenever he woke up, even though it would be the daytime. And he'd be leaving Win behind. A slight frown marred his forehead and wrinkled his nose as that finally occurred to him. He'd be leaving Win alone. Hrmm.

Win was energised by the acceptance but recognised Gable's mood for what it was. He took it as a positive sign that Gable was at least interested in levitation even if he didn't want to be raised that high when the crunch came.

His question came without emotion and Win answered it the same way. "Yep. Lock it when you leave and I'll be fine."

Win didn't mention he stayed in seedy motels quite often and was comfortable with them. Anything that was a cash business was good for Win and so far he hadn't had any issues. He tended to book a stay for an extra night. If the bed was too close to the door, he would move the furniture around just in case housekeeping ignored the do-not-disturb sign.

He saw Gable's expression shift and he thought to take the other's mind off his concern, or whatever it was that he was thinking negatively about. He captured Gable's lips with his own, intending on kissing him until the human was too sleepy to continue or tired of the kiss itself.

Gable relished the kiss, finding it stirred a happy, flighty response in him, even though he was exhausted. Contentment rose and he felt unnaturally connected to the vampire, buoyed by his attention and strangely emotional. Vulnerable. There was that word again. It wasn't... he couldn't... stay awake.

Probably shouldn't be sleeping here because bears and the trees had bread. He inhaled sharply and opened his eyes to find his slack lips still connected to Win's. It was a weird feeling and he pulled back, eyelids bobbing and breathy laughter pulling ou Jed diido oppo. There he went again.

"Okay," he agreed to the precautions about the sun for the vampire, finding them easy to live with. "I could get used to this," he slurred and fell asleep with a smile on his face.

When he awoke, hours later, he didn't remember saying anything untoward. He felt pleasantly sore and surprisingly well rested, though coming to his senses beside someone who looked exactly like a corpse was thoroughly disconcerting. He got dressed and slid out of the motel without fuss, that smile still in place.
