He took a sip of his drink while he listened to Ben, and realized what Ben was likely looking for. Several thoughts ran through his mind and he debated on just how bad of an idea such a thing would be. Sure Ben had been the one to interview and hire him, but they didn't interact much in the school. Occasionally Ben would come to all the staff with special events, such as the carnival, asking for input, sometimes appear for the staff meetings, and probably was the one who had appeared in his class that one or two times in the beginning to see how things were going, but that wasn't really an interaction since they would usually leave after a bit and not talk or interrupt things. He couldn't even confirm if that even was Ben or someone else staff wise, it could have been Sam for all he knew.
He had noticed Ben looking him up and down, and even moved closer. He wondered if Ben could pick up on things about him that other vampires had. He knew that Sam and Ari at least picked up on him not exactly being human before they went over to him and started to talk to him for their first times, he wasn't sure how they were all figuring out. Hell, even non-vampires seemed to be able to do that, given how Remi was ever so blunt about it. His thoughts had gone to that moment again, being reminded of Remi and Sam, went back to when Remi had grabbed Sam's hand. With that has a bit of a motivating factor, he turned a bit to face Ben as well, now that they were chatting.
"Oh? And what kind of reaction would that be?" He asked in a somewhat casually playful tone, as if he was feigning ignorance as to what Ben was getting at. He took a decent sided gulp out of his second drink. Another thing that concerned him was, wasn't Ben with Kerr? The academy was named after Kerr after all, he had assumed a close relationship between the two of them, as even in the carnival, when Ben did his meet and greets, Kerr was behind him in some kind of a supportive role.
He wasn't big into the idea that Ben was technically his employer, or that he might be helping Ben cheat on someone. If that latter part was the case, it could, and very likely would, seriously fuck up his career. The academy was his better paying job, and while he would be financially fine without it, he wouldn't be very mentally fine without it. He honestly loved teaching the class he did, he had learned a lot about other kinds of supernaturals and as much as he helped the students learn more about other cultures and in generally how to deal with unruly humans due to their own misconceptions, it had helped him too. He had refused to be a homewrecker even back when he had commonly done one night stands. He wasn't about to start now, even with one bad decision compounding upon each other now at this point. Relapsing back into fucking his emotions away, his employer being the one to approch him about even such a possibility, it was becoming one hell of a night.
